I just want to say first off, big fan of your bot. One of my favorites of the entire Battlebots series. Thank you so much for posting this video about the assembly. Now that I got that out of the way, I need to say this to you (only because I want to see you go far). This new lifter is not working out. I prefer Duck with the Titanium plate, which made you more of a force to be reckoned with. I understand that you're trying to evolve your bot into the new generation, but you know the old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." If you come back next season (and I hope you do), I hope you bring back the Titanium plate as the primary weapon.
A spinner on this bot and you have Biteforce, kind of.. But an even more indestructible bot then Biteforce. It would have great chanses to win the hole competition.
I'm worried that a well placed horizontal to the beak would be nasty. But I'm guessing it's lower than most horizontals, and it looks super sturdy. I hope it works!
The modular design of the chassi is absolutely beautiful, the way all the components are separated and have their own housing seems like it will increase durability quite a bit. I am just worried the weapon won't be super effective, unless you are going against a bot with a weapon so powerful it can kill itself if you get it tilted!
Question: With all these new features added, did you sacrifice durability or is it still as tough as its predecessor? Regardless I can’t wait for DUCK to storm season 6.
I love that bot. Thanks for sharing but dont you think the new design is more vulnerable then the old one? I think there are more surfaces a big spinner like tombstone could get grip of. But even with that I think duck stays nearly unkillable :D
Cool, the first time I watched the series I didn’t catch that the frame was magnesium, that’s the first I’ve heard of a Battlebot using a magnesium frame, do the older versions of Duck! use that too, or is that new to this version? That must save a bit of weight, how close is Duck! to the 250lb limit?
I love how your bot has so much personality to it. It's probably my favorite of all the bots I've seen in BattleBots thus far, it's super iconic. Do you think that the new "bill" will have enough power to flip over some of the other bots, though?
@@ttcan6320 good point. To be clear, DUCK! can only lift 300 pounds, but it doesn’t take 500 pounds to lift up one end of a 500 pound bot. Our goal is to “tilt up” our opponent; not lift the whole thing off the ground.
The new lifter mechanism is genius!
Ikr?! I love engineers, such a unique way to fit that mechanism in a tight space
This is a masterpiece..
#DuckForSeason6
Edit: I would love to see DUCK! again, one of my most favorite bots
The last one where Duck can quack really makes me want to see it in Season 6. It's my most favourite bot in the show.
I am your 694th subscriber♥️♥️♥️💪💪💪
Next giant nut winner
Idk why but this is really relaxing.
I hope to see you in season 6, quacking to victory
Love that you put all the build videos in one. Good luck in season 6. Quack your way to the top.
Really helpful stuff, thanks for sharing! I especially like your custom cable strain relief/joint securing mechanism.
Cant wait to see v3 in action!

Duck brings me so much joy.
good grief the bots look small in the arena, but here in your hands they are Humongous, goodnes me
Can’t wait to see Duck! vs Witch Doctor
Hope to see you next season I hope you win the Giant Nut

We have attachments (not shown) for the front and back to help protect the beak from different types of weapons. We hope they work, too 😉
Can't wait to see the new Duck in action!
Amazing Engineering
Wow, what a work of art, hope to see it fighting next season.

I'll let you know the answer to that after we get hit really, really hard by another bot ;-)

I wonder how much pounds this lifter can lift
Nice design looking forward to seeing it fight
An absolutely exquisite build.

Our ring spinner called Ringmaster has a magnesium chassis. DUCK! V1 and DUCK! V2 are aluminum.

Thanks Adam! Yep, we've tested the lifter and it can lift more than 300 pounds. But it will not "flip" other bots; just "lift" them for control.
@@duckthebattlebot3545 but the bot Chomp (2020) weighs 500 pounds.
