@ KiritoIsAlwaysRight the reason for the flipper is Battlebots doesn’t allow pure pusher bots/wedge bots. If you watch Duck in other competitions, they don’t have a flipper.
For fun? Duck! wasn't having much fun! ; ) Normally, I don't like a weaponless bot but Duck! is the exception. Just hope it (and the new season) comes back better than ever!
This was one of my favourite of the unaired fights. It shows that End Game is a fantastic robot when it works. If the team can iron out the technical gremlins they had at the start of the season, you're looking at a strong Top 16 contender right there.
AFAIK it wouldn't even be all that hard to fix. According to their AMA a while ago, all that was wrong with the machine was the speed controllers. They skimped out on protecting them and they didn't like the big jolts of power they got on hits, so they tended to just shut down. Outside of wedgelets coming off and their original spinner bearing retainers breaking in their fight with Death Roll, they apparently didn't take much damage.
I mean, in its debut season End Game almost managed to beat Bite Force. The concept between the two bots is pretty much the same, the only real difference is that Bite Force has generally been far more reliable.
@@silasmcgee3647 Actually, that could have caused problems. If you hit an opponent during a countdown, the count has to be restarted in most circumstances. It would have given Bite Force more time to recover and there's no guarantee an extra hit would do any more critical damage. The better course of action would have been to sit right behind Bite Force, weapon spun up to full throttle, and then to charge in immediately as soon as Bite Force showed even the slightest of controlled movement.
@J Foster After the tombstone fight they were still "alive", (you could see the motors turning), but they had lost 3/4 wheels and the 4th one couldnt spin so they couldnt move. Here they flat-out died.
Two of my favorite bots from those who are not superstars. End Game seems to me to be a very well built robot that as soon as the pilot has more experience will be able to fight for the title. Duck is a rock, it can be one of the most difficult bots to knock down, although here they have managed it, it seems that it is a bot that will not do anything but always leaves good fights.

Stupid design IMO. All drivers are allowed the walk the arena, no surprises there. If they designed a bot that can be high centered so easily it's on them.
@@alexv3375 It may appear so but I specifically recall them going to higher profile tires their next fight. To avoid getting high centered as per their own words.
I think that might be because Cobalt might not actually hit as hard as it appears. Most spinners, End Game included, and set up in such a way that they slam their spinner into the enemy full force, like a punch. From watching the slow-mos of the fights and the way it's hits tend to work out, I think most of the time Cobalt actually does something different. It has a thin tooth angled in such a way that it more seems to grab and pull their opponents, flinging them into the air, rather then just slamming them like End Game and the rest do. This would make it very good at ripping parts off and punching through thinner armour (See: Cobalt ripping off Duck's face and punching through Sub-Zero), but not so great at delivering the kind of internal shock that would put Duck down like this. I could also be entirely wrong, but hey, there's a chance.
@@XogoWasTaken Yeah I am pretty sure that is what Cobalt's spinner is meant to do, Cobalt's spinner acts more like a sword meant to tear straight through armor to reach the internal components to disable their opponents. Most other spinners act as if they are hammers meant to slam their opponents and transfer insane amounts of kinetic energy.
I might sound biased but imo DUCK has taken some of the biggest hits in the reboot so far. Also this was best fight of the unaired list, with Kraken vs Shatter being a close second.
Gotta say it. Who wants to see end game vs cobalt in season 6? That would literally quake the battlebox no matter who wins (no spoilers for those who haven't watched previous seasons). But seriously, please lift these damned travel restrictions for the other countries, it's literally sacrilege to not have international bots in the competition!
This is a surprising result. End Game has had problems ever since its loss to Death Roll and DUCK! is stupidly reliable, so this was an impressive knockout!
