The best version on yt I've found so far! The Andante section in the middle at the perfect pace, not rushed, like so many are, nice rubato giving it real emotion - just amazing! That andante section is always weirdly emotional for me, and this one really hits the spot.
A spirited performance, and very enjoyable, but your statement "Recorded live on 10.20.2023" cannot be correct because 20 October, 2023 is in the future. What should the date be, please?
Interesting the placement of the cellos not on the right side of the conductor but rather almost in the middle. Must be a European configuration technique?
Hi, Richard! You're right! This seating arrangement which is sometimes used by European orchestras is called an antiphonal seating or European/German seating. In this seating arrangement the violins are seated both on the left and right hand side of the stage to create an antiphonal/stereo-like effect 😊
I prefer this seating to the american one. At least in composers who split the Violin writing enough. Wagner, Dvorak, Bruckner, Mahler, Liszt and Strauss should always performed this way. It is less important with Schumann, Mendelssohn or Beethoven.

You're welcome:)
A wonderful piece. And so well played!
Thank you very much 🤗
Well played and articulated, like a fine sports car accelerating and braking. The performance seems to suit the composition.
Thank you!
We're happy that you enjoyed our rendition 😊
Very inspiring to hear when I get up
🤗
Ausgezeichnet! 🎉😍
Vielen Dank! 🥰
Увертюра яркая картина восторженного предвкушения праздника. Таинственная маска. Шествие масок. Кружение, танцы. Праздник продолжается.
Sometimes I forget just how wonderful Dvorak can be, and then a magnificent orchestra like this blows the roof off with this stirring performance!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ lovely
Thank you 🥰
EPIC!
Thank you! 🤗
Always fun to hear. The recording quality is not very good, which is unfortunate for this fine orchestra.

Haha, thank you for your comment, there was some mix up with the translation that we corrected. It was recorded in February this year - in the past ;)
@@WDRKlassik Thank you for the correction!

I've seen a few orchestras place them that way.

It's where they finish up if you put 1st violins on the left and 2nd on the right as was always the case back in the day
