There's a narrative about (some parts of) Egypt that there are periods throughout the day where the power is "cut" for a set amount of time. Is this true? If so, why aren't the Pyramids in service to provide wireless energy to the entire country?
95% of the world does not have a clothes dryer. Only Americans. Why? Because it is incredibly expensive in energy cost to just dry your clothes. If you put the clothes on a rack, they dry naturally for free. Closets? Almost all U.S. house construction is wood frame. Even wealthy people. In the rest of the world, it is concrete. The material/labor cost to pour a closet in a room (in concrete) is maybe 20% extra? It also introduces ventilation and electrical problems. Easier to just make the room square (in concrete) and let the resident finish it with a closet/wardrobe.
This is how houses or apartments are in most of the world. In Japan, Germany, Brazil the kitchens are also empty when getting a place and you provide your own stuff and when people move they take everything with them.
Great apartment but the price is most definitely a bit too expensive. You can get the same size (if not bigger) 2 bedroom, 2 bath, decent kitchen dining room living etc for under $70-$100
