I always enjoyed this tutorial but looking back at it always wanted to improve the quality of the video and add in some new knowledge - so that's what I did. If you're interested you can check out a remastered, updated version of this tutorial 1.5 years later: ruclips.net/video/cGUdDgKdEg8/видео.html
Can I ask you something? How can I instal some of the sounds what I want, but I can not find something like it.
InspirAspir how can I contact you....to inquire about stuff in ableton?
Hey can u make another one of these videos where u walk threw making a song. Doesnt have to be basic but one were u walk threw everything u do. Thanks in advance
Eq goes on master out - i can t put it on the track that i want. How the F nobody knows to explain this ?
I don't know how many "beginner" videos I had to go through before I finally found this one, but it was way too many. Way way way too many. Thank you for ending my search for a STRAIGHT TO THE POINT tutorial for beginners.
Sorry for the bit of a late response but thanks for taking the time to let me know this! I am glad to help and I appreciate your support. Best of luck to you with all your music production :D
yeah he wasn't the only one...so many videos i had to watch before finding this one...good work!
I found out that there are all these urban myths about free studios and reached the conclusion those myths are silly storytelling that is not worth following.
Apparently I got super lucky because I found this video immediately after having a friend show me a quick video on the interface. I'm glad I didn't have to do the searching you did but at least we all figured it out eventually. ;)
@@InspirAspir Me tooooo! Please make another live 10, with all the latest instruments and m4live tutorials....And some kind of vocal...!
Thanks a lot for the incredible tutorial man! Do you have any idea why does the pitch of everything sound lower than yours even though I followed your instruction exactly? What audio preferences do you use?
Thank you for doing this tutorial right. I've had to "rewind" through way too many "how to" videos that still left out minor important details! You were clear, made sense & to the point.
I just binge watched your entire "for beginners" playlist. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE! It was exactly what I needed.
The first ableton tutorial that actually teaches not only how to make an ableton song, but how to actually realistically use ableton simply, easily and more efficiently to create beats, rhythms etc and of course "how to actually use ableton". Truly a beginners guide. Well done man. ✌️🙏❤️😁
I really like how when you are talking about a quick change to make you say it like you're making a song, "I think i like this better, so i think im going to change it" it added a different feel rather than the normal boring "So now you click here then here, and bring this down.. etc" Very nice tutorial!
OMG Finally someone that gets to the point, while being hilarious, and actually teaches me something. Thank you so much for your videos!!!
It's one thing to START your first song, it's another thing entirely to FINISH it- good thing I made another tutorial video! Click the following link to learn some tips/steps on how to complete your first song, enjoy! ruclips.net/video/KMTp4FSSLrc/видео.html
InspirAspir can you make/upload
Sash - Mysterious times
in Ableton ?
InspirAspir Can you make a tutorial in Ableton of how to make the song Haddaway - Whats Love!
Ang White im sorry?
Thank you for making one of the better how to use Ableton videos. It is much appreciated.
this is what i was looking for years! the foundation of how to make a song! its the most important thing, everything else its just time consuming and perfecting the idea... but this is what i was looking for because there was always something missing and i didnt know where to start, i always started with the drums and ritme and i got stuck every time, the funny thing is i asked for help with real musicians and nobody had "time" to help me, so i what to thank you very much for making this videos and help people out how to do what they enjoy doing and dont feel bad because there is always something falling behind that we cannot see...
As a total beginner, I found this video very helpful - especially for introducing the arrangement view. Thank you!
You're the first guy who I've watched and could actually understand and learn what youre doing. Thank you
Hey thanks, I appreciate you taking the time to say that!
Thanks man! I had watched other videos on how to use Ableton, but they failed to show me how to actually put sounds together to start making a song. You filled that gap and I thank you!
Pedagogically...man...AMAZING! This is made for learners. I will repeat Matthew, going from video "x" to video "y"...and then comes the pearl, that's this one. Thanks InspirAspir. I guess CUBASE is trying to buy you out!? Seriously, thanks a lot, I made my first music from scratch in 90 minutes...emotional!
This helped me so much, i was extremely confused as to how to do this exact thing and now you have solved my problems! Thank, great videos by the way!
Im an fl user and im learning abelton you did a great job! Now im considering getting it because of the layout thank you!
Thank you for making this! I just successfully made my first (super basic) song using your tutorial and now have the confidence to continue messing around and experimenting :)
Hey thanks! Happy to hear it, appreciate you taking the time to let me know this. Best of luck with your music production future! :D
If you dislike what this man is doing, you have no soul. Great job I'm using it to power level now, thank you very much man.
I have be messing around with ableton abit, most tutorials i've seen, showed the person making more complex pieces, other then the fact that made it harder to follow as a beginner, it made the expectation of what you are gonna make as a beginner get way to high. so i like the fact that you made your production simple in the tutorial and then showed what it could grow to be, made it a bit easier to play around with the program.
Hey thank you! This was very nice to hear, I appreciate you taking the time to say this :D
This is amazing. I am a classically trained pianist and I have no idea how to use these DAWs. This is such a great first lesson for beginners like us!
Hey glad to hear it! I appreciate you taking the time to say that, I'm happy to hear this helped you :D
you are like the best example for Ableton. Its sad that you only got like 12 views for this video but your helping a lot and I thank you for that so keep on doing these videos
because of you i loved Ableton and I'm making music on it right now.. you are a perfect teacher
Love how you explain the tutorial man, please make more videos, I trully want to learn about producing and some videos are way too difficult for my level
Wow I remember watching this 2 years ago clueless on using DAWS, and Its funny to look back and see how far I've come. I rembwr being so happy when I started to learn the most basic things from this Tutorial Lol Thanks man
Honestly I wish I found this video over a year ago. I had no idea what I was doing back then and now Im teaching a friend how to use ableton so he can persue music and I think this would be the perfect start for him
Thanks for teaching me how to make elevator music. I really needed it for my elevator.
elevators need love too
Just watched this and the beginners video, love how you break it all down into simple steps so someone with no idea what they're doing (me) can understand it. Thanks, and keep 'em coming!
Dude. Thanks for this tutorial. I have been using Ableton since Live 7 and love it. I've recorded bands, my own music and all sorts of experimentations. Although I can say I have used some of these methods in the past, this tutorial is still exemplary on giving a start to a piece of music. Using all different techniques for a purpose. Also I had to note how you began with a simple, almost ubiquitous chord flow, but showing still how by the end, with using the arranger's imagination the piece finished can sound entirely original. Cheers suh! Keep on arranging, producing, and rocking in the free world dude.
Hey cheers! I appreciate you taking the time to tell me this, it's refreshing to hear even someone with more experience was able to take something away from this video. Thanks for the kind words, best of luck to you with your future music projects :D
BEST TUTORIAL IVE EVER WATCHED IN MY LIFE
this is still useful over 3 years later lol, thanks for helping me!
hey man, all your videos helped me really much and I really appreciate the fact that there's a channel that fully explains how to do certain things, its very helpful!
Hey cheers! I appreciate your support, thank you :D
What is going on here? I've had a midi keyboard and ableton for a year and I've watched 20+ hours of vids about how to use it. You're the first one to say press tab and actually show us how to make the music. Thank you!!!
If I may suggest one thing when working with beginners you have to show the extremes "EG" on off so us people that aren't Keen to over dubing can hear the difference u know its slow but necessary much love for your time
thank you so much i watched so many tutorials before this one and it finally made sense
It took way too many "beginner" videos before I found this. Thank you!!
I just got back in to recording and this video helped me out so very much. Thank you!

Hey thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to say this, glad I could help :D
Thank you for making this video, I have seen so many but this one puts it into terms a true beginner can understand. You have a new sub and I can't wait for Dreamland EP.
This helped me so much, you explained everything I didn't know clear and the other stuff i watched didn't really help me. Now I can try once again. Thanks
I made step by step this tutorial. Key by key and it was equal! It sounded like yours. But after finish it, I started changing some stuff yo test it out, like the bass instrument and that kind of stuff and yeah it was good. Thanks
Thanks a LOT! all i need is 2 hours and i made my own song!

Finally, a video that makes it so simple
Hey IA, I really like your lesson, and the way all related are mentioned in the same moment. Cool brain, I'll fly through this at same rate. Nice one !
u just gave every one the correct way to start good job man
Omg, thank you so much! I love your tutorials and you thought me how to use the midi extension and how to make lightshows and now how to make a song which I have always wanted to do but all the tutorials I watched used the drum rack and I could never get it so thank you for being the tutorial master!!!!,
New to Ableton, it is very complicated because when you hover over a button it does not tell you what it does making me have to navigate every inch of the screen to do one simple thing killing my vibe. But its alot of great sounds for a budget price.. Thanx for your help
Incredibly simple! I know a thing or two about music, but with this software I don't also have to be a computer nerd to implement my beats.
Go ahead and do your thing little buddy! Proud of you!
Pls make this a serie
PLEASEEEE
Trito ! Lmfao. Nice to see you here

Thank you for the tutorial this was very insightful and helpful
Thanks for teaching me everything! One of the best tutorials!
You could be an awesome teacher bro!!! I really liked watching this video as you carried on with the basics and did not waver off into the more complicated stuff, which is very demotivating for a beginner like me.
Thanks! I really appreciate that, thank you for the kind words :)
Thank you i started on ableton and was lost but then i saw your video an i LOVED it thank you...really :D
You're my hero for the day! I've been trying to figure out this for days. Thank you! Subbed!

Slips & Slurs - Holly - Turmoil !! Nice choice x) I've started to dance when I've hear it 🔥

I was thinking Mario from Mario bros. Gets a girlfriend..
lol
You are so optimistic. Thank you
Finally, a well explained Aebleton tutorial for Dumkies. Thanks a lot buddy!
finally an understandable tutorial but can u do a video how to actually like finish a complete song? like inserting audio and triggering different effects along the same midi or audio tab?
Nicely made video man. Informative, interesting, good pacing, and you talked clearly (which i find a lot of tutorials lack). Great job:) keep up the good work
Thank you for the tutorial I'm a just a beginner but hope into making great songs like you.

great stuff..! making a demo on basics is what new users look for :)
Amazing video, this really helped me out alot! Because of your video, it brought me back into spirit as I had a hard time creating a melody and this video inspired me to keep trying. Thank you with all my heart!
Helpful video👌 easy to understand considering you keep it simple and go straight to the point! :D
I loved your tutorial! Thank you SO much. I struggle a lot with taking a LOOP into a SONG. There's a lot of content on how to go as far as you did but to build an actual track... I'd love to know the process!
Hey Congratulations on the success!!!
Fascinating thanks! Just bought live 10 std. Just gotta buy the interfaces.
Nice vid man, ill be watching more to learn more. it helped me, and gratz on your single, good on ya mate.
You put music behind your voice every time you speak. I like that.
Awesome, many thanks! This was exactly what I needed to get started! :)
2:48 i don't get the option to insert midi clip
I take it once you write a part using internal sounds you can re assign it to external midi instruments providing you have a midi interface, or of course play them together? I have Ableton 10. Just got Presonus 1824 for audio & plan to buy Iconnectivity MIO 10 for Midi.
Super dope bro,I love it man thanks
Went from really unimpressed but grateful for the content to being like oh shit this sounds pretty good now. Crazy! Reminds me not to be a perfectionist going into this and just having fun, the process is what's important less so than the starting point.
Yo, bro you really helped me out. Tnx for this vid and ye pls make it a serie!
Thank you so much! I really love your simple and fun tutorial. Good music 😄 thank you so much for inspiring me 😄

thanks bro, hard to find clear and concise instructions like on this video. Keep it up!
I laughed so hard when you said "NEVER MIND" after adding that second instrument :D this video is super useful. I really needed something to show me how to get into the piano roll after having played with FL for a minute before realizing that ableton is all anyone uses and therefore is easier to get help with. :)
Great video. Please keep making more. Especially if you can keep making songs as an example. Best Ableton video I have seen so far.Well done. Also please show how to use a keyboard like novation launchkey to create note and chord sequence. Thanks so much.
Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to say that - I will consider your suggestion as a future video :D
