This is the second video I have seen last time it was just one horse and this time two are getting down. I have been around a lot of horses and never seen anything like this. Tried to see if they were getting commands on that last video or thought the horse was trained to dance to music and they just do it or they had been trained in dressage. Now I am convinced it's N"awlins and the horses are as crazy as the people.

This is how policing should be done. Everyone is having fun, nobody is getting hurt or being threatened, the police are engaged with their community, they're still an intimidating enough presence but aren't aggressive at all, this is how it should be done. And damn those horses have moves

Questlove from The Roots actually produced a great documentary about this band i highly recommend called "From the Mouthpiece on Back"
I don't think the horses enjoyed all the mixed signals they kept getting from their riders. Notice how their tails kept swishing? But on the nicer side the New Orleans Police were interacting with the public in a positive way so kudos to them.
Tails we're switching because they were enjoying themselves. I have worked with and ridden many horses and there's a difference in the way they switch when they are mad. Also watch the ears-ears up and forward=happy, laid back and down= mad, eyes rolling, heads up means they are spooked/scared
@@pamfink4052 I have worked with horses myself for over 50 years so I am familiar with their body language. A swishing tail can also mean the horse is irritated. The animal's ears were not pinned so it was not to the point of anger, just minor irritation. The horse could have been saying "Would you make up your mind as to what you want me to do."
Im from detroit we do not see shit like this, matter fact if our crowds start getting that packed theyll try to get us to move around a lil bit dispurse us 🤷🏾♂️ we got horses but they def dont dance 😭
Definitely been trained in dressage already. My husband and I used to work at a stable with hunter jumpers and dressage horses and these horses definitely start with dressage and add to it
Horses afraid?!....they ride head long into battle without flinching. Bible tells us in the Psalms to not put your confidence in them (because of their fiercenes) during battle because the victory is of the Lord. Try to convince the Native Americans that horses "are just afraid"

I worked with the Orlando, Florida police department many many yrs ago. One of the mounted police train her horse to "dance".

These horses must have competed in dressage at one time..Police horses are often retired competition horses. They have to be well disaplined.
