I'm 23, and I think about this topic a lot. I feel a lot of the pressure our society throws at us, I'm constantly worried about being late in life, not having a job yet, still living with my parents, haven't traveled that much, etc... honestly, this video is so dense of good points. I think I will watch it over and over every day until your words get stuck in my head because I needed them so much! It's so difficult to look at things in perspective, but I'll try to remember it more often. Thank you ✨
Thank you so much for opening up about this! It is so funny you say that because when I was your age (I sound like an old lady haha) I printed a poster from this movie Reality Bites with Winona Ryder where she says 'I really thought I would be something by the age of 25' because it resonated so much with me! I feel like we always feel 'behind' no matter what age we are, but in fact there is no one set timeline we should follow - sometimes later is actually better for many things! I know it is easier said than done, but try not to put the extra pressure on yourself. Just the fact that you keep looking for answers or help is a testimony to the fact that you are on the right path and you will progressively create the life that you want
wow. its been long since i've felt so connected and comforted by a content creator(especially in the self help community) please keep on sharing this amazing work. there are hearts you light up. ❤
Watching this as a 36 year old and I think these mindsets are timeless. I have to admit though, I am enjoying my 30s more than my 20s. It’s nice knowing who I am and shaping my world around me, rather than trying to fit myself into the world which is how I sometimes felt as a 20 year old. Plus as an autistic adult the world is a much nicer place for me now than it was 15 years ago.
I also feel like there is more acceptance of neurodivergence and different mental health struggles which helps feel less alienated. I remember being a teen in Poland, still did not have much Internet access and it was so easy to feel alone and misunderstood. So there is some hope I guess :) Also I feel like I am still learning a ton in my 30s but thankfully I know where to look for resources and help now! Thank you so much for your comment Emily and sending you a big hug!
I’ve watched a lot personal development kind of videos and I have to say yours are the best ones. They’re hitting me exactly right, actually giving me the feeling of enlightenment sometimes and you can clearly tell the person who made them has a great sense for aesthetic. And the editing… oh the editing 😩🥵 Love love love love love everything about it
Thank you Maggie - that means so much :) I am still learning and still feel so uncertain about so many things. I really have to push myself to hit upload sometimes and I feel like hiding under the bed after I do publish ahah :D I am very grateful to have your support on the way :) means it a lot nicer!!!
*Hola que tal, la señorita está muy bien con los videos. Firstly, I would really like to thank you for all your dedication to your videos. The quality and entertainment is impressive about your channel, I am very proud of your work and your ability to convey your words is sensational, I hope your channel can grow in an incredible way. May you maintain this essence of your channel and may you soon have more partnerships and sponsorship. Your daily readings make you understand a lot about many interesting subjects, which makes me very happy. what caught my attention the most was that video of yours with the most views, you had the humility to respond to almost everyone and the funniest thing is that those people and even other channels simply disappeared overnight, but even so you continued in a growing way with your channel. Everything will be fine * ❤❤❤
Thank you for saying this - I appreciate it so much! It is funny but sometimes I feel that it is very hard to be true to yourself online but I am doing my best! It means so much to have your encouragement :) Hope that Ireland is treating you well ❤ best wishes
I love your videos. That's exactly the content I want to consume! Thank you for sharing your insights - I haven't heard before about the rule of 3rds and that's such a wise concept! To be honest at the day of my 30th birthday I've felt like I've wasted sooo much time on wrong relationships, wrong career choices, wrong decisions. Thing is, today I'm almost 33 and I've never felt more myself. I've made a lot of brave decisions, changed things, ended some "friendships" and I feel like all the things that I've done in my life so far were needed for me to become ME. ;)
This makes me so so happy to hear! It’s a massive encouragement for others for sure, especially those who feel a bit lost in their 20s! Any advice for those of us a bit earlier on this journey? ❤️
@@lostinadmiration Most importantly - take some time to get to know your true self. Many times we follow certain paths in life because of our upbringing, environment we grow up in, or because of things we think people expect from us. A very important lesson that I've learned so far is - it is not egoistic to take some time to get to know myself. To spend some time alone, to come up with lists of things that I like, that I don't like, that I want to do, that I want to get rid of in my life. When I started doing what I really want and stopped thinking about what I think that other people would approve of the magic happened. I'm no longer a teenager who struggles to fit in. I'm an adult that knows their values and passions. I'm authentic to my true self and I no longer wear various masks in front of other people. It is VERY HARD and I still struggle a lot with this (as a former pathological people pleaser...) but saying yes to things when you truly feel it and saying no when you feel that deep down a "no" is your answer is worth it.
I love watching your videos. Not only the content is super amazing but the way you explain, talk and such high production quality. I am waiting for you to blow up girl. Keep up the good work. you are such an inspiration and have learned so much from you.
Just when I thought I couldn’t enjoy your videos more, you went and quoted Andy Bernard! I think about that quote all the time, whether we’re going out hiking or I’m just reading a book with my daughter, I keep it at the front of my mind
I'm now 22 and actively listen to people with more experiences in their lives because experiences are so valuable and help us be more peaceful. Thank you for sharing them.
I am so excited for you for this journey of discovery and growth :) you are definitely on the right path, given that you keep looking for answers! also, did I see right you are from London? if so, hi fellow Londoner! wishing you the very best with everything!
Thank you! No, I'm not from London, but I've always been fascinated by it, and I've always followed its films and influencers from there. Anyway, I wish you the very best with everything too!@@lostinadmiration
It is my first year here, it definitely has a lot of opportunities - as most big cities - but also a lot of drawbacks - again, as most cities:D @@rezaghaderipour I am myself from a small town so still feeling a bit lost here haha
I had no idea of these things in my 20s and I am in my 30s watching this video just feel right. In my 20's I only focused on my career and now in my 30s I'm trying to have balanced life
i'm really grateful for this video. i'm sick and well, getting treatments results in a lot of time bed ridden and trying to be present and hoping for the better. i genuinly felt like i was wasting away but this is offering me another perspective. i guess having preconceived notions of what an era should like puts more pressure on you to fit into that "standard" even if it isn't yours. perhaps it's all about experiencing each era as authentically as possible through the ups and downs. even though the video is titled how to not watse yours 20s, your video really applies to anyone at any age which i find valuable. it doesn't feel like shaming anyone for not being where they expected to be but rather offers pillars of insight that can help you move forward with some clarity! thank you - btw loving the editing and filming!
Thank you for the kind words! And you are so brave for going through what you are going through. I think that’s one thing that should be true for all stages of our life - heath should come first. I know it can be very very scary and I hope you have some support! I hope the treatments go well :) and yeah, there is no one schedule we should all follow, just the right timing for each one of us! So hang in there ❤️ sending lots of love
Just turned 33...I'm about a decade late for this video. And I rather muddled up my 20s with not much to show for em. But... I can take some of these ideas and take them into my 30s.
I am sure you achieved more than you think. It really depends how you frame things - we could think of things as failures or experiences that helped us understand who we are and what we want. I had so many ‘failures’ - changed my work industry three times, had a long term relationship of 6 years that failed and lots a few friends too. But somehow I feel like I learnt more by failures than if everything had been smooth sailing 😊
Again beautifully crafted video!!:) Now my thoughts: I'm 20, I'll turn 21 this year. I have been feeling like time is flying by for more than a year now - basically since I started studying at university- and I'm scared that my 20s are passing by while I'm just doing... nothing ? Then again, I think back to what happened in the 20 years I've been on this earth so far and well, I remember just how much has happened since I've been 16. In 4 years I loved someone for the first time, got my heart broken pretty bad and then had to build up my confidence from 0 and now I'm more confident than ever before. I finished school with honors, got into my dream Uni and dream course, I'm in my third Semester now. I met my current partner with whom I really feel a different love than I have before. I moved out and got my first apartment with my partner. I got my driver's license and bought my own first car.. so many things and those are only big ones, not the small things. So... is time really passing by fast, or does it only feel like? My watch later playlist is full of productivity, growth and "things I wish I knew when I was 20" kind of videos. And I do want to grow and improve my life- but I feel like it's overwhelming. I set a few goals this year that I want to reach - one of them being 'Get a normal and healthy sleep schedule' because that's something I've struggled with for almost a year now. I have some medical issues, so getting out of bed is rather hard, which is why laying in bed for 10 hours or more isn't unusual. It takes away my time to spend on different things. So I hope I'll be able to get that right. And when I've done that, then I've defeated one of my biggest struggles:)
Sounds like you achieved so so much already! And well done on all these things! One thing I would say is try and be patient and kind with yourself when the health is acting up. I had periods of pretty problematic health condition (chronic Lyme that was so strong doctors were sure it’s multiple sclerosis, endometriosis) so I am not unfamiliar to things like chronic pain, fatigue or brain fog. I know it is so frustrating to see other people be productive and their best selves while you cannot even normally function. I think this is why it’s so important to realize that in such moments you must prioritize healing and be very kind and loving with yourself! Honestly, it sounds like you are in the right place! Don’t rush things, be patient with yourself and I am sure even more beautiful things are ahead ❤️
Thank you, I'm in my 30s but this stays true :) your videos are always bringing some sort of calm in my head, and I always find some good positive values in them that I can apply, adapt and see the benefits
I'm 33 years old now, and those are things I wished I had known earlier, but I think it's really never too late to learn and grow and make a difference, as cheesy as it sounds. Also, again: I love your content, thank you for the work! Somehow I wish I could meet you someday and talk to you about all those things
Thank you for saying this - means so much! Yes, I agree - we never stop learning which is so beautiful. Also, I also hope to meet you! Let me know if you are in London! Sending lots of love and keeping my fingers crossed for you
Thanks, Daria, another great video! There's a fine line in such self-help videos - not to make people feel sad about their missed opportunities. But you manage to inspire rather than frustrate!
I am so happy to hear this! Honestly I am so new to this, if anything comes across as annoying / arrogant or insensitive do let me know - and forgive me please 😊🙏
So embrass the bumps ! And 30s is waaaaaaaaay better than 20s !!! 🥳 Great job with the videos guys 💪🏻
Merci Nicolas! Tu as raison y ce sont d'excellents conseils :) Ça me prend toujours beaucoup de temps pour répondre parce que j'ai oublié tous mes français :D J'ai vécu et étudié à Paris comme tu peux peut-être le voir sur les photos. Où vis-tu en France? and thank you so much again for the support and encouragement! I appreciate it very much :)
This video is full of such amazing advice and inspiration ❤ I'm 24 and feeling quite overwhelmed with life while at the same time fearing that I am not doing enough to make the life I want 😰, and especially confused about my career
Thank you for saying this! I feel like this feeling of being overwhelmed is quite normal at every life stage! As long as you keep figuring out slowly what you want, what’s important to you, what makes you happy - that’s the best progress and compass for the future! Hold on tight, best is yet to come ❤️ sending lots of love
Great reflections on how much risk to take while young. I always assumed risking lots while young is the "right" thing but you make great points. Another wonderful video!
Oh I am so happy to hear that it resonated with you - I was a bit worried about this one because I am far from being a finance / investment guru :D I guess risk can be both good and bad if it is calculated and at the right timing. thank you for kind words!
Such an enlightening content, thank you so much for that, I realny needed it, I feed a little bit lost recently (I'm 23) I watched it after my breakfast so it really made my day if not even a week/month. And big applause for an awesome film as well, great editing and sense of aesthetics. I cannto wait to for another video!
Thank you Wiola! I guess this feeling of being lost goes up and down as we go through all stages in life (funnily, this is why I called the channel lost in admiration!). It’s hard work to not let the fear dictate what we do and overpower us. If you are anything like me, life will rarely be as scary as the fears and thoughts, which is a bit encouraging haha! What I wanted to say though is really when I was 23 I had no idea about what I want to do, was in a career I did not enjoy and in a relationship that did not stand the test of time. But things still worked out, just a bit later than I thought - so hand in there. Things can change any time! I am rooting for you 😍🥰
As others have said, you did a great job with this. I too have been feeling the same thing as I've approached the same milestone birthday. These new found ways of thinking that I Wish I had when I Was 18... I'd love to see/hear your expanded view on this. With Relationships.. Physical and mental health and all that
Thank you for saying this! I also wish I knew this at 18, would save so much time and heartache! But I guess that’s how it works, can’t jump the growth stages! And thank you for saying you’d like to hear more - I really want to carry on with this type of content!
@@jmsl_910 yeah such small thing but forces you to always end on a positive note! though sometimes I also just let myself be sad without being too judgemental about it haha :) thanks a ton for watching it :)
I'm learning a lot from your videos. Not only from the content itself, but also how you package it (I aspire to make same type of videos). The clarity of messaging, the videography, the graphics are amazing❤so glad to see this channel grow, keep up the good work! If I may make a suggestion for future video - I'd love to learn more about how you two collaborate on this channel, and "comment ça s'inscrit" into your relationship, as well as your careers. That is also something I'm striving towards with my wife, and would to build our life around In the long run.
Thank you so much! We are still both learning so much, there is a lot of insecurity and it always feels a bit stressful to post but we also enjoy the journey. In terms of working together, I do scripting and coming up with ideas while Karol does editing and filming. We like working on this together. We try to motivate each other - this way when I have a day when I would just let it go because I am too tired, he can motivate us to sit down and do some work and the other way around. In terms of relationship- obviously working together can also add an extra strain and its many many hours together so we try to make sure we have our separate space for hobbies, our own friends and time alone. But also we are still figuring out it as we go :) thanks so much again for your kind words and wishing you and your wife the very best on the journey too :)
@lostinadmiration There'll always be stuff we can learn about ourselves, about our partners, i don't think that journey will have and end point. but it's inspiring to see someone do the exact thing you'd like to do. You guys can clearly produce amazing things already, and we're just starting on the path of reinventing ourselves, while collaborating on something creative here and there . Hence my interest for an indepth video on this topic from the " @LifeOfRiza + @ColtKirwan style " couple of self-development 😅
What a compliment to be compared to them@@sashkovarha ! We are very very far from that yet haha :) maybe one day! and you are right, it is a process and journey and we need to appreciate every step - especially the initial one! keeping my fingers crossed for you guys too :)
Oh thank you SO MUCH :) We had to change our old flat a few months back because the landlord decided to sell and the new one came almost unfurnished so we could pick some things :) We got most of it at Dunelm, including all the decor things like plant pots and photo frames. And the furniture was called Frances Rattan :) I saw you are also London based by the way! :)
Very nice video 😊. I share your partner's mindset when it comes to the risk. I always say that we'll recover, because we are young and full of creative ideas. Right now I struggle with switching careers, as I gave up my economics career. Luckily the sunken cost fallacy was a concept there, so that's how I explained to myself that I better move on 😂. Thanks for the video, it gave me a nice perspective on things and some new ideas. Pozdrowienia :)
Thank you Tomasz for kind words! I also admire your bravery with a new career path, I know how terrifying it can be! But unless we try we never know and there is always an option of going back :) keeping my fingers crossed for you! pozdrawiam serdecznie :)
So happy for you, so proud of you ❤️😍 I really believe people should earn their right to be called family - or at least not do things to lose that prerogative
Hey Priscilla, really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with Best Quality Editing in your videos better than your Editor with good pricing and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail which will help your videos to reach to a wider audience ? Pls let me know what do you think ?
which means you are a ton wiser than I was in my 20s :D but also it's never too late to make good or even crazy changes changes if you want. I am learning so so much in my 30s, and also UNLEARNING too. let me know if there is still any new idea or concept in here for you :) would be nice to know
I don’t believe you - maybe you just found things you don’t like or what you don’t want to do which is sometimes even more useful! It’s literally impossible to waste any era of your life even if you try super hard and made only mistakes - was trying to make this a point in the video but not very well maybe haha sorry for that
Somehow missed that lovely response I’m sorry (going through a tough time), I think I mean wasted more in the sense that being depressed took (and still takes) a lot of space in my life, and I feel like there are so many milestones that I missed and that I can’t catch up with. I’m 39 and there are things I need to say goodbye to forever. Ok that was depressing 😂. I really enjoy your content cause you do take mental health into consideration ❤

Welcome to the 30s club - hope you are enjoying it so far
I'm 33 years old now, and those are things I wished I had known earlier, but I think it's really never too late to learn and grow and make a difference, as cheesy as it sounds.
Also, again: I love your content, thank you for the work! Somehow I wish I could meet you someday and talk to you about all those things
Thank you for saying this - means so much! Yes, I agree - we never stop learning which is so beautiful. Also, I also hope to meet you! Let me know if you are in London! Sending lots of love and keeping my fingers crossed for you
I will let you know!
thank you and likewise @@yale2497
Thanks, Daria, another great video! There's a fine line in such self-help videos - not to make people feel sad about their missed opportunities. But you manage to inspire rather than frustrate!
I am so happy to hear this! Honestly I am so new to this, if anything comes across as annoying / arrogant or insensitive do let me know - and forgive me please 😊🙏
@@lostinadmiration oh no, your tone of voice is perfectly respectful and empathic☺
that's great to hear :) still figuring all of this out :) @@Margarita-e7s
Love your content. Great production and very inspiring!
Thank you so much for saying this ❤️🥰
Jak zwykle, wspaniały materiał! Nawet nie wiesz, jak bardzo obecnie potrzebowałam to usłyszeć, dziękuję
Bardzo bardzo sie ciesze
Dzieki for this piece of young wisdom ;)
French practice:
So embrass the bumps !
And 30s is waaaaaaaaay better than 20s !!! 🥳
Great job with the videos guys 💪🏻
Merci Nicolas! Tu as raison y ce sont d'excellents conseils :) Ça me prend toujours beaucoup de temps pour répondre parce que j'ai oublié tous mes français :D J'ai vécu et étudié à Paris comme tu peux peut-être le voir sur les photos. Où vis-tu en France? and thank you so much again for the support and encouragement! I appreciate it very much :)
You are always amazing Daria! Also cheers to your partner for his work behind the scenes, I admire you
That means so much - to both of us! Thank you for your support Gian!
I am rooting for you 😍🥰
Love this video 🥰🥰 I wish I could have heard it in my 20s!
I wish I was wiser earlier too haha :D but we still did quite OK

This was fab. Thought provoking, clear and really nicely made :)
Thank you so much Ian, means a lot!
Don't give up on the Jedi academy applications!
Haha thanks 😊 this is one of those things I will never give up! And also playing Star Wars Fallen Order :D
Smart and cool!
And your partner seems to be smart too!
Dziekuje Klekociku 😊🥰

i'm getting pretty good about adding "but luckily" to the end of my negative sentences! that DETOX pessimism video is really good!
@@jmsl_910 yeah such small thing but forces you to always end on a positive note! though sometimes I also just let myself be sad without being too judgemental about it haha :) thanks a ton for watching it :)
What a great film making skills you have. It‘s amazing 🙌, Keep it up
Thank you so so much! Means a lot 🥲

Love your home decor. Where do you find such beautiful furniture? :)

Oops too late (also wasted my 30s now that I think about it)
I don’t believe you - maybe you just found things you don’t like or what you don’t want to do which is sometimes even more useful!
I really enjoy your content cause you do take mental health into consideration ❤
you are so cute❤❤
