Catherine, you should experience the Rockies from a motorcycle. There's nothing more sensual and connective, between a person's spirit and the universe surrounding you, than to travel through that splendor, in the open, feeling it, and breathing it in.
Exquisite photography that captivates to a point of actually being there. The calmness of movement and the gentleness of your voice is most therapeutic. This is my first viewing of your channel. It shall not be the last. Liked and subscribed.
Thanks for another peaceful start to my Sunday morning. Rainy days are sometimes a blessing allowing us to just unwind and relax not worrying about what needs to be done or where we should be going. Appreciate the lovely and peaceful footage you always share.
Every adventure I share with you, little or big, is the delight of my day. Those last six words were music to my ears... "It's getting a little chilly out." (That makes me antsy! HA!) I'd guess you are still 6 or 7 weeks ahead of THE GOLD! I hope your journeys will be there to capture it. Thank you, Ms. Gregory. You have no idea what your videos do for an old, disabled, adventurer like me.
I was surprised that you did not go to the John Denver Sanctuary along the creek in Aspen. Reflective, beautiful tribute to him. I liked the scenes from the campground. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.
Jim here Cat. I was stationed at FT Carson from 1973 to 1976 and spent a lot of time exploring Colorado. It is one of the most beautiful states in the USA. Brings back a lot of memories. Once again you have out done yourself in presenting this beautiful area. Thanks for the memories !!!
I moved to CO in 1966..I worked there until 1998. I was fortunate to be in a lot of your presentations from CO. Being young I never looked around. It was the destination not the journey. Now that I am retired in WA , I see more but your photography is better then my eyes and documented . Thanks for your great skills that let me see what at the time was not important.
I am French living in France and it was memory lane for me as I visited Aspen 19 years ago (was already expensive then !!) thank you for sharing this rainy day and your cooking! I really enjoyed watching as much as I like watching your hikes. Have a great stay in Colorado
The White River National Forest is gorgeous .....its in the Aspen area. I was there back in June camping, hiking, etc. Tks Catherine. Always love your content
Cat- I lived in Aspen during the winter of 1977 and 1978. During that winter I skied about 30 miles everyday. I thoroughly enjoyed it but not as much as I have enjoyed living in Montana since 1979! However, I highly recommend that you explore Crested Butte and Telluride Colorado while you're there.
You picked a great place to visit! Been here 4 times; twice solo, one with my sister, once with my parents. First time, some of the stores still had hitching posts in front, then it changed, as the town became "the newest thing" for the 'Moneyed Class'. What's the saying "money won't buy happiness, just a lot of substitutes!" I drove up over Independence Pass from Leadville: one of the most beautiful drives I've done: even did it once, at night (I'd never do that again!). The night sky, though, at the 12,000 foot summit was incredible and definitely worth the effort! Hope you enjoyed the trip; always enjoy your videos!!!
Welcome to Colorado during monsoon season. We also enjoyed the Difficult campground on our visit which included a trip to Crystal Mill. We have a video on our channel. It is about the only way we could afford to stay near Aspen.
I passed through Aspen many years ago and this reminded me of its charm. I really loved the music you paired with your walking tour! It hit my “sentimentality nerve!” Hope the weather improves for your adventures! Safe travels Catherine!🙋🏻♀️
I just want to thankyou, you are a inspiration and I just live your videos. Ithasbeen a life dream to have a teuck camper. I have saved for years but never did I think I would ever fulfill that dream. Well I did this last year! I am almost finished wirh the remodeling. This video came in the right time. I have always dreamed of going to Colorado and especially Aspen. I have had a rough week but watching your video changed my week. I hope to meet up with you one and and hike. Hopefully one day you can come to Maine and I can show you where I hike! Awesome job!!
Went to Aspen in 88 with my sister and Mom, also Glenwood Springs and over the Rockies from her place near the Springs. Different but a cool vibe back then. Thanks for sharing your trip, super nice
If you'd like to find some secretive/non-touristy camp spots and trails here in southern Colorado, please let me know. I'd love to share a couple spots with you! #SANJUANS #LOVEMYCOLORADO #ITSMYBACKYARD
Rick here again 🇨🇦 Catherine you are living my dream, I always wanted to see Colorado and western USA 🇺🇸, I have seen western Canada twice and love the west . Keep posting your beautiful trip , I love watching it. Stay safe and watch out for the teddy bears,
Difficult campground is perfect for your rig, Lincoln creek could be done but it could be a rough go. Weller is another campground up 82 towards Independence pass. There used to be 12-14 inch trout in the creek back on the 80's-90's. Beautiful area , I used to call home.
Good Sunday morning Catherine! Maybe it's my imagination, but you seem to be so relaxed and at ease every week! I love it! That's one of the reasons that I love your videos. They help ME to relax. I also love the way you adapt to whatever the circumstances warrant. Aspen really is beautiful, and when the colors start to change, it's magnificent! As always, love you and be safe. 💖🙏
And Do you need some great lighting upgrade for your car to help you better driving, off-road and adventure. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
The flowers 💐 , lakes and the mountains were amazing 😍 . I caught a mild case of Covid-19 in January. I took a short trip out of Texas a couple of weeks ago. I am ready to take a short trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas. You have given me inspiration. Many Thanks
I love a summertime rain, but I’m from WA and now reside in CA so I miss a good summer downpour. I don’t mind going out in it if I can avoid the mucky mud. What a beautiful town surrounded by even more incredible beauty, nature. Thanks for posting.
Oh. You came to early. You should’ve waited to the end of September when it is frozen and the colors change. Aspen and especially hiking the maroon bells are absolutely gorgeous during the color change.
when I lived in Colo I saw it snow in the high country many times in Late August, within one month in the High country the leaves will change. Nothing compares to the Colo High country
It snowed at the high elevation my second night at the camp. No wonder it felt so chilly. There was a beautiful dusting on the mountain tops the next morning. I'll show that in next weeks video. :) First snow of the season I was told.
Cat, Aspen was very lovely! I spent a week in Durango back in July 1990. Went on the narrow gauge railroad to Silverton. I remember reading about a big fire there a few years ago. Really sad. As always I really enjoy your videos!!! 👍❤ Happy trails!!!
I've been watching old videos . I was just thinking you started out with 8 k & now I think I saw 87 k How amazing that must make you feel . The bronco stadium only holds 75 k ( I think) think about all the people who care about you & how you re doing if they don't see a video sun. You.ll always have people there for you. God bless & have fun!!!!!!
A very relaxing day Catherine, sometimes that is what the body and soul needs. I also love the sound of gentle rain on the roof of a trailer while camping, it is soothing. Have a great Sunday.
Great video! Thank You for the look at Aspen, I've never been there. It seems to have a small town look about it. Kinda touristy. Nice looking area. Trees and mountains. Stay Safe. Keep posting and I'll keep watching 🙏👍😎🐕🦺
Colorado sure looks green in the rain. We desperately need some of it in Northern California. My only criticism of your beautiful videos: they're not long enough!
Hi Catherine….I’m from south GA, but had the good fortune of living and working in various parts of the US. For three years I lived/worked in Jackson Hole, WY and spent weekends (in a truck camper similar to yours) enjoying the West. I spent some time in Aspen and your portrait of this little mountain town was right on. Enjoy your videos keep them coming….! Tommy
Hi Catherine! I've very much enjoyed your fantastic videos for quite awhile. I happened to be camping at Difficult CG just a couple spaces downhill from you during your 2nd night there. I was in Aspen over the weekend to attend a wedding, which turned out fantastic. You looked familiar but I typically don't reach out to other campers out of respect for their privacy. I realized who you were by a camp tag just after you had left to travel over the pass :( but still I didn't want to bug you. You have an artists eye for nature, and your content is always a great vicarious escape that I enjoy watching each week. I'm a CO native, started backpacking in the early 70's with Boy Scouts. I'm on the cusp of retiring and planning to get back into travel and the outdoors; I have a lot of catching up to do, evidently! Anyway, thank you so much for your continued amazing videos. Your stories and shared impressions of so many bucket list places are both inspiring and beautiful. Keep up the great work! Jeff in Wheat Ridge
My wife and I live on the other side of the continental divide from Aspen in the Arkansas River valley. You may have already moved on but there is a lot to see here in the Ark valley.
Enjoyed this video, it’s interesting to go with someone to a place they haven’t been before. Your meal looked good and like something I could actually make myself.👍😄🎩
I am old enough to remember Colorado before the super rich ruined it. Ahhh, the good old days!!!
🎯
And those of us who live here and still know of some special sacred places, un-touched by "transplants" cherish them like no other!
@@shellyfahren1936 👍👍🎯
That's all of america, now
Yes ! Good old days. Miss them
Catherine, you should experience the Rockies from a motorcycle. There's nothing more sensual and connective, between a person's spirit and the universe surrounding you, than to travel through that splendor, in the open, feeling it, and breathing it in.
You are so zen; you, your voice, your videography, your music choices... just so zen. I breathe in. And out. And see the beauty. Thank you.
🙏❤️🙏
Aspen trees are my favorite trees.
Now that is how to make lemonade out of raindrops, love always ❤
Colorado is always easy on the eyes! Beautiful state and scenery. Thank you for taking all of us along. Enjoy your stay. Be safe, be well!
I always feel more peaceful after watching one of your videos.
Exquisite photography that captivates to a point of actually being there. The calmness of movement and the gentleness of your voice is most therapeutic. This is my first viewing of your channel. It shall not be the last. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you so much John! Welcome to the channel.
Thanks for another peaceful start to my Sunday morning. Rainy days are sometimes a blessing allowing us to just unwind and relax not worrying about what needs to be done or where we should be going. Appreciate the lovely and peaceful footage you always share.
Your humbleness is a jewel
Watching your video is a 'moment of zen' for me...so relaxing and the photography is wonderful. Thanks
Always enjoy your videos. Thank you. Blessings

Love your calm soothing voice. You make a great narrator, enjoy your commentary👍😁
Named my youngest daughter after Aspen, Co. because of its beauty
Thank you Ms. Catherine for another delightful sojourn with nature, You're living the life that so many only dream of... stay well & safe ... Cheers.
I just spent a week in the U.P. of Michigan. I went out in the woods and forgot the world. It was wonderful.

Awesome Catherine. You inspire me to get my truck camper resealed and go exploring. Thank you for sharing
another awesome vid. Even rainy days are good in the outdoors. Thanks for sharing the journey with us.

I’m glad you got to come see Colorado we love it here I live in grand junction and 30 minutes any way out of town is awesome
Welcome to Colorado 🏕❤️ love that campground.
Visit Maroon Bells. I was there when the wildflowers were blooming. Beautiful place.
Never wear Jeans when in the snow, I learned the hard way in the Colorado High country in late August one year when it snowed about 6 inches!
Nice town and area . The week after i drove thru , Glenwood canyon i-70 was closed for a week , due to a mudslide ....whew.... ~peace~
Aspen looks awesome. Nice upload and journey thanks for sharing.

That statement "dry camping" was a bit funny to my thinking with all the rain!
Such a nice trip. And lovely lady
Love Colorado, but never visited Aspen. Thanks for the tour! Looking forward to the next adventure.
Have fun tomorrow.
Another nice laid back vid Miss Cat!
That's it! A bunch of us need to get together and take Catherine shopping. I think she's a bigger shopper than she's letting on...😀

Your Colorado videos were totally awesome!......Makes me home sick!
