Honestly I’ve always been impressed by the design of the plumbus. It just looks so... _Perfectly_ confusing yet oddly sexual. Even its name sounds confusing, alien-ish, but also vaguely lewd...? The perfect design. I don’t know how anyone could come up with it.

i realized i take "for granite" the prop design in this show, its not like i dont notice, i always could tell most of the background is meticulously created, but i usually just accept it, honestly they deser as much praise if not more than the writers themselves in regards to creativity, i would love to have this job but i get overwhelmed just thinking about it...
The fact that Brent gives credit where it's due (listing the process of approval, notation, and even source of an idea) tells me that he is easy to work with and enjoys working with the people around him. If that's not the case then he's really good at hiding it. Despite the fact that Justin isn't aiming to be the greatest draftsman, he actually contributes to approvals and notating designs. I think what's great about that is that it follows through on Justin's sense of humor which grounds it with the source of the show's inspiration. The art director is probably a huge weight carrier on this production, based on the number of assets (props, color keys, backgrounds, layouts, and character designs) that are involved in every episode. It seems like they are aiming for feature-quality work from a TV schedule, which explains the drawn-out release dates and seasons being cut in half.
I always find the behind the scenes and watching people work on a show always so interesting because it just goes to show how much effort and love gets put into these things. Cannot wait for the rest of the season enjoyed them all so far keep up the hard work!

I love the idea of this guy just like sitting around drawing spaceships all day then getting to watch them blow up. He made the ten year old's dream a reality. good for him.
Imagine someone who don't watch the show watching them talking seriously about how they made the plumbus and be like: i think this gadget plays a biiiig role in the character lives and in the plot of the whole stories
The More I watch these the more i want like a full animation breakdown behind the scenes how the show is made type of show just for all of adult swim's titles
First, you take the dinglepop, and you smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches. Then you take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice. Then a Shlami shows up and he rubs it, and spits on it. Then you cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way. The blaffs rub against the chumbles, and the plubus and grumbo are shaved away. That leaves you with a regular old plumbus!

I believe I know the episode of "how it's made" where they got the infomercial voice type timing and intonation from. Like even the pauses are quite similar. Granted they have a lot of unnatural pauses from the acting style of Vamping a lot of the lines.
I like how one guys says he take a lot of time to give him the 10 best so they may be carefully selected and the other guy is like yea fuck that this one looks good done.
When he said taking time to create something and then destroying your own creation... I do that in real life with radio control airplanes... It's not on purpose but sometimes what I like to call an unintentional uncontrolled landing does occur...

It’s interesting to me how some people love drawing rigid and structured things while I hate that and only like drawing flowy and organic things.
