    Why do you go against traffic when you get started

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  9 месяцев назад

      I simply can here in South Dakota I’m allowed by state law that I can be on either side of the road now I realize other states are different but here I can go against traffic hope that explains that thanks for watching

    Nice! How fast are you laying it back out at?? Also, do you have weight on the back if your machine?

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  Год назад

      Thanks and I lay it back out at 5 and a half mph and I don’t have a weight on the back of the blade I have a rear ripper which I normally have a rubber tire packer mounted to my ripper but don’t have it on in the winter months. Thanks for watching!

      @@graderman140m that’s about what we do also. I take my packer off during the winter, it’s just in The way while plowing snow!
      The views you got showed how nice and smooth your roads was! Thanks for the tips!

  • @gamingradeon

    Would be amazing if you had three cameras mounted all over the grader so you could simply cycle through the different camera views while editing the video. If they lack battery life, plug them together with a home made power bank and stick them with a strong magnet on a grader. I’m sure there are older go pro cams that are still good quality and affordable used. Also if you could show the state of the road before and after grading that would be very satisfying!
    That is what would take your content to the epic level in my opinion. By the way, thank you for the video so much!

      Looks like he does a pretty good job as it is of getting different angles. Its a lot easier said than doing it. Man spends his days working roads, then goes home tired and tries to get some time with family, then has to get up and do it all tomorrow again. Aint no one got time for that.

    • @graderman140m

      @@coolhanddruid I appreciate your kind words your 100% right I try to do the best I can with the videos but there’s only so much time to do all that fancy stuff I appreciate every one watching.

    I hate getting a pile of trash on the end of my blade so much. We really need a reclaimer and packer. Waste more time than not trying to break that stuff up, and get it out on the road. Then if I lay down any fill layer, its more dense and leaves clumps.

    • @graderman140m
      @graderman140m  Год назад

      I agree with you a 100% on that and yes a reclaimer and a packer certainly make the process go way quicker and get lot better finished product when your done thanks for watching!
