I remembered this series. Many were expecting a sweep since this Hawks team were a below .50 playoff team. They do get blown in their away games but their home games against the Celtics showed a lot of promise.

Heading into game 3 no one gave the Hawks a chance that game, people thought the arena would be empty, but lo and behold the atmosphere was absolutely electric and Joe Johnson and the Hawks put on a show at home, where they won every game and extended the series to 7 games. Joe really lifted the team from perennial punch line to a long stretch of respectability, too bad they had a lame duck coach or they would have likely had more playoff success with Joe. One of the great players of the 2000s and early 2010s

I wouldn’t say underrated. The hawks paid him a lot of money at the time. He was basically done after his stay with jazz. His last good playoff series was when the jazz beat the clippers in 2017.
