Just a quick thing to point out: You can just completely skip the whole need of doing Poke Radar for IVs with this stuff via fossils. Omanyte and Kabuto from the Dome and Helix fossils in the under ground after getting the national Dex, when revived from the fossil reviving guy in the first gym city, will always be created with 3 IVs being max guaranteed, and are part of Water 1 and Water 3 egg group. So, just get a couple of either, at least 1 male and female, hopefully with the 3 best IVs in separate stats, and eventually you will get a 6 Iv one as male, which the fossil mons are more likely to be male too, so chances of it being female 6iv are quite low. Just for anyone who really dislikes Poke Radar.
If you are wanting to start breeding with more easily accessible Pokemon, I have some recommendations: Field/Monster: Instead of Nidoran, use Rhyhorn (it's accessible in the underground much sooner than Nidoran!) Field/Human-Like: Instead of Spinda, use Buneary. Water 1/Water 3: Instead of Corphish, Omanyte or Kabuto *may* be more accessible; however, while they automatically start with 3+ IVs, they also have a much lower percentage of females so it's a big toss-up. Faerie/Grass: Instead of Hoppip, use Roselia These are 1:1 replacements for the chart above; that is to say, it's not diverging from the path and pairings. Just some more easily acessible replacements to some of the suggestions above!

You dont need sword and shield to transfer you can transfer pokemon from 3ds titles to switch with pokemon bank and pokemon home!! Altho you cant bring pokemon from pokemon home on the switch into brilliant diamond but it is said its going to be added later on! Hope this helps you out bruddah
I will be posting videos on Unique Pokemon Moves on certain pokemon that can only be made in this game!!! I found so many cool things!!! Hope you all will watch those!
If you are doing any breeding without ditto, I recommend getting a male pokemon with the ability cute charm, at the head of your party it will force most wild encounters to be female, so you can start breeding new species faster. It even works on entire caverns of the grand underground as the pokemon spawn, and can be switched out to a different lead pokemon before the encounters start.

One more small thing. You can get the everstone in Snowpoint city by trading a Medicham to the girl in the house for her Haunter. She trolls you and has Haunter hold an Everstone. I was so mad the first time I did that, but its worth it now lol
another method to get a everstone is do trade a meditalis against the apollo in Snowpoint City in the top left house. This one wears a everstone. Best methode to get one bevor the national dex
Great guide, I already know most of this but I did not know bout the bidoof method, sure it takes a lot of breeding but I'll have better chance this way than finding 5iv ditto
Currently in the process of doing the bidoof method. Honestly though, I don't think I ever wanna see a bidoof after I'm done with this haha. Update: finally got my 6 IV Bidoof. Now to move on to breeding other pokemon besides Bidoof.
Just a quick hint on the Flame Bodies, Magby had Flame Body as well, so you don't need to evolve it to Magmar. But the easier thing is just using a Pokemon with Magma Armor. So every Slugma and Magcargo works, as it can only have Magma Armor or Flame Body but you can also use Camerupts, which you can find in the "normal" caves AND the volcanic ones. We don't have access to Pokemon with Steam Engine in BDSP but those would work as well.
I knew pretty much about how to breed in the beginning before i saw your video. The part i prefered tho was the part when you explained the bidoof and his "matching groups". Nice video man!
If you started with Chimchar, your starter can easily play Spinda's role, being in the same egg group pair (field and humanlike). The only caveat is that getting a female Chimchar as your starter is not easy (the "1 in 8" category to be specific). Piplup is field and water1 like Bidoof so that's out of the question, and Turtwig is monster and grass (maybe as an alternate path to grass through Nidoran instead of Hoppip through Marill? but then you'd have the same problem of needing a "1 in 8" female) Also, Pachirisu is field and fairy (as an option to replace Marill) and has possible Pickup, and Destiny Knot is a 1% pickup item from anything level 21 or higher with that ability.
A really solid guide for breeding. Breeding has always been daunting and confusing to me and never bothered doing it until now. I’ll try the Bidoof method but found that catching a male and female Bidoof with at least 2-5 IVs is pretty challenging because most of the ones I caught have garbage IV spread.
Slight tip, oy catch the bidoof that have a special animation that pans to your character before the battle cry and start of match. Guaranteed IV there.

A great breeding helper, particularly the 'Bidoof Breeding'. Thanks to someone giving a 3IV breedject Aerodactyl in trade, I used it to reverse-engineer a 5IV (so far) Farfetch'd. Which will help me get my breeding team together for all the competitive stuff! When it comes to breeding, something I would recommend is getting a high-IV male Smeargle for your breeding pool. Unless they have changed how it works, Sketch will copy any move permanently, allowing that Smeargle to pass *any* egg moves to *any* Field group Pokemon. It can really save you tons of time.

Luckily, a few months ago. I traded for 2 shiny Dittos on the Pokemon Home App, through GTS. Finally got to a point where I was playing this games a few weeks ago. It turns out both of them have 6 perfect IVs.
Thanks for making this guide, I’ve always wanted to start breeding for a team but it was so overwhelming. This guide helped out a lot, everything was explained in a way that it helped me understand without being confused 🙂
I understand all the parts separately, but not sure how to put them together and what order to do them. First get a 6 IV bidoof by using destiny know and cycling pokemon with better IVs in. Can use fossil pokemon for boost at start. First you get the "egg family breed team" of male pokemon with 6 IVs by using destiny knot on male and cycling in better and better females Now we want a female with the right nature, this is done via catching a pokemon in same egg group with a synchronise leading pokemon. We pass this onto our desired pokemon by having the right natured pokemon hold an everstone, until we get a female offspring. We then also want to make sure this female pokemon of the right nature has the right ability. We then breed this with our 6 IV male with destinty knot from same "egg family breed team", with it holding the main desired Power IV type (once its max'd) to get 6 IV desired pokemon We can then give it egg moves without breeding with the move deleter method Is that all right?
I swapped out Spinda (which is nearly impossible to get in BDSP because it can’t be transferred in - unless they fixed that - and its spawn mechanics are whenever it’s randomly the swarm) for Buneary. Buneary is Field and Human-Like just like Spinda and therefore can breed with Ralts who is Human-Like and Amorphous.
It would be nice if you could share the overview with the Phases so we dont need to search it up in the video everytime. I think u did a great job at explaining and i really enjoyed your video.
Hatching/shiny hatching sucks since there’s no 2nd right stick to use. Got so use to biking in SW/SH using the X & Y axis sticks to bike in a circle to make hatching easy. My left thumb/hand gets sore & tired just moving up and down and in a circle.
Great strat. In the midst of starting the process. Got my 6 IV male Bidoof and in the middle of working on the Remoraid as of now. Yes, my thumb hurts like hell.
When breeding 2 pokemon with 5 ivs is it better for them to have 31 in the same stats or different? I have 3 5 iv bidoofs(2 male 1 female) but they're all in the same stats. Also I'm using destiny knot, but does it help the odds slightly to also use a power item on the other parent?
Forgive my stupid question, but do both Bidoofs have to have Best IVs in DIFFERENT stats? Right now I have two Bidoofs in the nursery, both the male and female having Best in Defense and Speed. The male is holding the Destiny Knot. And I have not been able to hatch an egg with Best in any other stat so far.
Y’all boys sleeping on Pokémon go and Pokémon home. Pokémon go allows you to catch legit every Pokémon in games pretty much and it’s so easy to get high ivs if you spoof or know how to grind I got 4 amazing dittos from home
How long is it taking people to breed for a 6 IV male? Been stuck on 5 IVs for both of my Bidoof for DAYS. Really hoping all the other breeding combos won’t be this bad 😅
5:54 So if I catch a female Pokémon in the same egg group as Eevee in a Luxury Ball, am I gonna be able to get an Eeves in a Luxury Ball? Or do are babies always the same species as the mother
I think the neutral natures actually increase and decrease the same stat. So technically they do nothing since they cancel out, but I found that interesting
I tried transferring the egg move Dragon Tail onto my Steelix with the Onix I caught underground that has it and it didn't work. Does have to be another Steelix for this to work?
what if you are breeding with ditto for moves? like if a male garchomp has EQ and you breed that with ditto. will the gibles have EQ or do you need a female garchomp?
Am I confused? Why would you breed a bidoof as a father, then breed it with a bunch of other pokemon to be parents when you could just use ditto? With the pokeradar and destiny knot, isn't it easier to just breed a perfect ditto to use for all your pokemon?
Can some give an efficient way to breed pefect baby pokemon like Togepi? Having to evolve every single one to further improve the stats sounds like a miserable time.
5:39 "Ditto does not pass on his balls...." 5:58 "Bidoof does not pass on his balls, in fact it is the female that only pass on there balls and not the males..." I think Ditto and Biddof lucked out...

Glad it helped!
he explains this better than my biology teacher
Thank you, as a player who only play the first 2 gens, this stuff Is obscure to me
Very very helpful 🙏
Glad it helped!!!
Fucking awesome bro i thought i knew everything hell no i dont imma sub rn
Appreciate you!!!!
I understand all the parts separately, but not sure how to put them together and what order to do them.
First get a 6 IV bidoof by using destiny know and cycling pokemon with better IVs in. Can use fossil pokemon for boost at start.
First you get the "egg family breed team" of male pokemon with 6 IVs by using destiny knot on male and cycling in better and better females
Now we want a female with the right nature, this is done via catching a pokemon in same egg group with a synchronise leading pokemon.
We pass this onto our desired pokemon by having the right natured pokemon hold an everstone, until we get a female offspring.
We then also want to make sure this female pokemon of the right nature has the right ability.
We then breed this with our 6 IV male with destinty knot from same "egg family breed team", with it holding the main desired Power IV type (once its max'd) to get 6 IV desired pokemon
We can then give it egg moves without breeding with the move deleter method
Is that all right?
Damn the will be a whole lot of fxcking. Thanks for the video as a complete casual i didn‘t even know breeding was possible till now
Is it possible to have a normal pokeball for Shroomish? I’m trying to get one but I only caught them from safari zone…
Honestly this is a great Guide
honestly thank you for watching!
Btw @@PhillyBeatzU what method did you like the most. Personally I like the Bidoof strategy
Really informative video guide. Appreciate it my dude it's gonna be helpful now that I've reached post game and just about to start breeding!
So glad it helped you!!!
The Bidoof breed chain was what i was looking for ty so much.
Advice on breeding a Metagross with good IV's without Hacked Ditto? Please
How do i get legendaries (that u encourer before post game) with good IV if im not in the post game and cant see the IVs?
Only issue with bidoof method is you cannot do masuda method with it.
Mew has synchronize so does that work as well? I gotta jolly sync Mew so can I use that to make sure the wild Pokémon has the jolly nature?
Correct. Any Pokémon with Sync will sync their nature
Yes
It would be nice if you could share the overview with the Phases so we dont need to search it up in the video everytime. I think u did a great job at explaining and i really enjoyed your video.
I made chapters on the video for that reason :)
Hatching/shiny hatching sucks since there’s no 2nd right stick to use. Got so use to biking in SW/SH using the X & Y axis sticks to bike in a circle to make hatching easy. My left thumb/hand gets sore & tired just moving up and down and in a circle.
this game is deff hard to hatch
Great strat. In the midst of starting the process. Got my 6 IV male Bidoof and in the middle of working on the Remoraid as of now.
Yes, my thumb hurts like hell.
I believe in you
When breeding 2 pokemon with 5 ivs is it better for them to have 31 in the same stats or different? I have 3 5 iv bidoofs(2 male 1 female) but they're all in the same stats. Also I'm using destiny knot, but does it help the odds slightly to also use a power item on the other parent?
Forgive my stupid question, but do both Bidoofs have to have Best IVs in DIFFERENT stats? Right now I have two Bidoofs in the nursery, both the male and female having Best in Defense and Speed. The male is holding the Destiny Knot. And I have not been able to hatch an egg with Best in any other stat so far.
I think if you have a 5IV and 6IV Pokémon with 2 different OT Trainers it’ll breed a 6IV faster but idk 🤷🏾♂️
Serious question : if i understand correctly, Pokemon can inbreed without issue ? The offspring of a Pokemon can breed with that same Pokemon ?
5:54 So if I catch a female Pokémon in the same egg group as Eevee in a Luxury Ball, am I gonna be able to get an Eeves in a Luxury Ball? Or do are babies always the same species as the mother
I think the neutral natures actually increase and decrease the same stat. So technically they do nothing since they cancel out, but I found that interesting
So much more in-depth than I've seen anywhere on youtube! Thank you so much!
You're very welcome!
I bread a 2 IV bidoof(destiny knot)with a 1 IV Bidoof(ever stone) and I am get 0 IV and 1 IV bidoofs. Am I doing something wrong.
Isn’t it lovely getting a LVL 100 shiny max IV ditto (Japanese too, MASUDA METHOD)?
Am I confused? Why would you breed a bidoof as a father, then breed it with a bunch of other pokemon to be parents when you could just use ditto? With the pokeradar and destiny knot, isn't it easier to just breed a perfect ditto to use for all your pokemon?
Can some give an efficient way to breed pefect baby pokemon like Togepi? Having to evolve every single one to further improve the stats sounds like a miserable time.
Omg your video gave me luck! I found my shiny Piplup starter at soft reset 481 while watching this in the background.
Nice work! Happy it helped!!!
I tired 5 nidoran with bidoof and they won’t ever breed. Just a says they don’t like each other much… am I missing something??
I had a ditto chain for 37 captures and only got a single two IV ditto, no other perfect IVs AT ALL, the chain method is broken
5:39
"Ditto does not pass on his balls...."
5:58
"Bidoof does not pass on his balls, in fact it is the female that only pass on there balls and not the males..."
I think Ditto and Biddof lucked out...
Honestly I don't want to do any of this I have so many mons on home wish we could just use home already.
i feel you
@@PhillyBeatzU Being an adult sucks sometimes you don't have as much free time as you think you'll have. I'm so thankful for the glitches now.
The everstone trick to pass down the nature works with male Pokémon too??
Lmao.... i play since gen 3 gen 4 first releases and now that gen 4 remakes came out last year or so i never knew that the badoof meme was rly reality XD
This bidoof method is exactly what I've been looking for! Thank you so much for posting that I've been pulling my hair out trying to find an alternative to ditto breeding lol.
Thankfully getting a couple 2-3 IV bidoof should be easier thank a ditto that requires alot of prep
Glad I could help!
"Ditto does not pass down it's balls."
Ditto became sad.
:(
I want to have a shellder baby with skill link ability 100% guaranteed, is that possible somehow?
You're the best bro!!
Glad I can help
You should slow down these guides. Ppl tend to go to other guides if you don't show the map at a minimum. You assume to much viewer knowledge.
