The jester is my favorite Archtype hands down. Across every story where you find him/her, if the character is even remotely well done, you never tire of them, you always wanna see what they will say/do next. And I see the jester as a kind of stoic in many ways, who simply chooses to express his stoicism rather than play it close to his chest. Solid summary and explanation of my favorite archtype.
The Jester and The Everyman are two of my favorite archetypes. Ah, the days of Gargoyles! I'm currently revising my story to submit for the Stygian anthology. Now I'll just have to figure out where to find some Canadian dollars and how to insert them into the internet. :)
haha I think PayPal can manage the conversions and such for you :D and I'm very much looking forward to reading your submission. I'm so glad my Gargoyles mention was appreciated. I was just so glad to have an opportunity to mention a couple old favourites. Definitely gotta' re-watch that one at some point and see how it stands up.
The philosopher is sometimes referred to as the jester that does not bring laughter. which, ironically, is funny in itself. In this case, Nietzsche is my favorite jester haha 😅
@@IfYoureFeelingAdventurous To be clear, "favorite jester," favorite (possibly only) supervillain of Western values, the antagonist of Western philosophy. 😅
Okay so I looked in the comments section and apparently the comments I left on various RUclips shorts showed up here. I deleted them, but if you saw them don't be confused lol.
Oh that is a very good point to bring up! I haven't come across any discussion of this before but I imagine it's something you could definitely determine. Perhaps an examination for future videos! :)

Oh I like this a lot! I sense a good concept for a sequel video :)

@@attention5638 oooh, now that is a very interesting slant with which to look at him and his ideas.
Do characters have archetype percentages? Like sam from Lord of the rings could be 20% innocent 30% caregiver, and also various others.
