The plastic piece you’re securing the hose to isn’t the place to actually put the hose. That’s just a clip on cap for the hose so you can have it self clean by reversing the spray and it gets sucked back down the hose to clean it out. There’s another clip on the side of the cleaner to secure the end of the hose. Trust me I did the same thing at first😅
The liquid that leak when you flipped over the container (water plus concentrate) came from the underside of the container's handle. Whoever filled it, spilled it into the handle. Watch it on slow motion. The two nipples that you said the leak came from was facing forward to the camera and was visible and non-leaking the whole time after the container was filled. When you flipped the container, it came from the navy blue handle. However, did you like how the non-sturdy carpet cleaner functioned?
@julietchung5263 That is a good point you make about the leak. However, I used it for several days and continually had the issue depending on how I angled the container when reinstalling it. As far as the function, I think it did a great job, even better than 2 store rentals I tried.
The worst thing that i notice about this product is the fact that it doesn't have a heater built in to do a real deep cleaning on your carpet which to me is a major down fall and makes this carpet cleaner useless in getting out most stains you really need hot water to clean most carpets it doesn't matter how much hokey pokey gimmicks that shark uses
I know and was going to get a Bissel that did. Eventually, I chose this one as a last-minute purchase. The heat would have definitely been nice, no doubt, but this one did a great job cleaning the carpet.
The crevice tool actually connects on the side, not on the hose cleaning tool.

Very interesting I need to take a look. Thanks for the info.

The EX201 has a pet head, a wide head, a small head along with the hose cleaner and the crevice tool so 5 tool to 3.
So then the EX201 is the best bang for the buck. I'm pretty sure functionality is the same, but extra tools at your disposal are always when cleaning.
There is an in-between model which has all the tools apart from the pet one.
The hose attaches to the side ..
