It feels as though the Batter is begging Hugo for another chance or another way to help him. At the same time it's also as if the Batter is begging the player to give him another option [even though we all know there isn't one].🥺
Isn't Batter meant to be an abomination hell bent on "purification" created from Hugo's hate of his father, and is doing this COMPLETELY of his own will using the player's help? Like we all know what he really is thanks to the Judge ending, a creature hellbent on destroying everything purely because he thinks it would be better that way. Not the type to ask for forgiveness.

The story is a bit "abstract" but very interesting. The game itself presents you, the player, as the "puppeteer", and you have the mission to help your new puppet to fulfill its sacred mission, said mission will embark you in a surreal world where logic itself does not exist, and you will face all the evils that corrupt the world. Your adventure will take you through different zones where you can travel in order to complete your objective. the game is amazing, great characters, great art, great setting, great soundtrack and most importantly great story. I definitely recommend playing it, it's not very long and it's also totally free, also if you come from other RPG games like Omori, Undertale, Deltarune or Earthbound, you'll like this game a lot.

I haven’t thought about this game in a hot minute, been over a decade since I last played it. Man, this was one of the first few games I played that really took advantage of tropes you’d expect from a rpg game, make you believe that it was gonna stick with a standard story formula and then just turn it on its head. It really changed my life in a way I can never begin to truly articulate. I would without a doubt recommend this game or watch a youtuber play it, whatever works for you, because it is a lovely game.
