I love seeing yours dogs! So beautiful. You do whatever is best for you. If someone wants this dog with the breeding, care and love you provide, they will pay the price. Re-home doesn't equal used. In fact, it requires less work for a well trained and socialized dog as opposed to a new puppy. Do you Sis🙏🏽
Once you take a puppy or dog back you are again paying the cost for food, boarding and an even more extensive training for a older puppy/dog. Dogs are a lot of work. Corso are a serious breed and you never low ball a quality dog from an outstanding breeder.!
It’s tough. A new puppy doesn’t have issues that need to be sorted. Also, rescues don’t charge what breeders do. That’s the frame of reference most people have for rehomed dog prices. The theory is you already made your money on the initial sale. I don’t know. When my wife and I bred Akitas, we had some issues with this. Only in one situation did I let the dog go for free because I knew the couple, newly married with a recently purchased home that was adequately fenced. The young lady was a vet tech at the vet I used and loved the dog. I wasn’t worried about housing or vet care. All they had to manage was quality food. They did pretty well. Otherwise there’s no such thing as a “free puppy”. A high entry cost for the owner translates (theoretically) into a higher level of personal investment. Free or low cost “things” have less value to most people.
I also remember when I bought tilly a mini schnauzer from the breeder, she said if people tried to haggle with the price it worried her they may not be able to pay vet bills or insurance.
Hello TTK, let me begin by saying we are avid followers and appreciate you and your posts. Great work and please keep it up. Now, as a fellow small breeder/kennel/groomer, as customers they really dont understand what it all entails to (call it plainly) love, care and produce such creatures. There is a fine line that as breeders to ensure you give everything these animals deserve from you as well as not sell yourself short. When you are passionate about what you do, the level of care and quality reflects in your product. Unfortunately, customers really see our dogs as new cars/toys, something they can window shop for, enjoy for a few moments, then place in the corner until next time. No ones see the time, sweat equity, food quality, cleaning, exercise, vet bills, etc etc etc that goes along with what we do. Animals are very much like children, they need love, affection, and a quality of life to be happy & healthy, just like any of living being. We've had a returned dog, accepted back with open arms, no charge. Weve stated to all our customers, you get what you pay for, and as humans we generally pay for something we really want, regardless of price. As well as, our families do have to realize you are dealing with something that has feelings, demands, wants and needs. Breeders can do everything right and it will not replace the responsibility the family has on their end. You cannot blame the breeder for your own lack of ownership and responsibility. Its like wanting a Ashley sofa from Dollar Tree (for price & convenience) and being upset at the store for not being able to sit on it due to lack of quality, and lack of effort/care(from owner) to not put it together properly. If they want puppy mill prices, go somewhere else, regardless of age of pup, or whether it was returned. 🤷🏾♀️
Happy/Sad at the same time 🥹 Audi/Sweetie are inseparable 😊 you can see how she adores her new owners and they’ll give her a beautiful forever LIFE 🤗. I’m not entertaining comment “retail” 🤨 …. Y’all keep STANDING ON BUSINESS period!🥰
I was walking Gracie and some little girls asked to pet her. I put her in a sit and they began to pet and rub her coat. The whole time the little girls were saying wow her coat is so soft
would you be so kind as to address breed standards in a video. Interested in your thoughts regarding the introductions of boxer, boerbel and bulldog blood into the breed. apparently this is a big issue. Lastly, i am delighted i kept my thoughts to myself about rehoming ...lol...I think you made an excellent decision.
Thank you Ericka for the video. I always enjoy watching ALL of your videos rather they are short or long. CONGRATULATIONS to AUDI for going to her fur-ever home with her new family. ASHA is standing firm as the QUEEN of the Homestead.,❤😂
Hey, Erika! Happy Mother's day, 2 legged and 4 🐾 another great video! I love that you had a going away party for Audi❤ the love and care that all of your animals get is prime example of how animals should be treated! You and Greg have big hearts and compassion ❤️
I counted 21. . . And just know that I love you, all your video channels;s. I so feel like you do. Some folks act as if these dogs are a fad and not sensitive beings. I appreciate your family businesses’ integrity on all levels. As for the comment of the person who compared the dogs to cars or trade-ins. The point is that each time a dog comes home you have to reinvest in their reconditioning, boarding and feeding. People are often clueless. I say no, to his question. However age may be a determinant because the lifetime expectancy is shorter when bought at an older age.
I would definitely charge my original fee for a pup/dog that I decided to find another home for, but I don’t think I would add any additional fees. I, as the breeder, chose to take the pup back and take on the responsibility to come with that, not the potential new owner. I’d make them aware of the background of their potential fur baby and let them decide from there. The two parties can always discuss any concerns. Just my thoughts. I live with two, 150lbs boys myself because someone decided it was too expensive, so I get the expenses that come with it. I’m glad they did before I booked the flight 😅.
Well if you really think about it. They person doesn't have to deal with training. For some people training a large dog can be challenging. Paying regular cost for a 1 year old corso all ready trained and hopefully house trained. That's awesome....
Erika, that person was expressing their intentions, saying retail, that person more than likely wanted the retuned dog for little or nothing. Moreover, if a person can't afford the price of your dogs that person certainly would not be able to afford the vet bills.
I also think you should charge three times more for the dog after you have your trainer teach the dog, to sit stay, heel, recall, housebreaking etc. I also would advise a proBNP blood test, so your buyer knows there's no cardiac issue. Why? Cardiac issues are a problem in Cane Corsos that's why I switched (after losing my last Cane Corsos to aplastic anemia, my other cane corso died from right sided heart failure) to owning a Presa Canario that I imported from Serbia.
Referring to one of God creations as retail is wild to us!! If you can’t consider one of twelve titans pups as family then I think you should rethink on getting one. And that goes for any dog breeder you are getting your pup or dog from!! Also hey Ericka this summer should be full of free time for my kids to help you out if you need it, and this is all love and help no gimmicks or handouts
Oh they are so beautiful. I think I counted right I counted 20 names. Hubby and I have been wanting a Corso for so long. We have looked into them. But no way we can afford to purchase one at this time. We have raised Danes for year but we had them spayed or neutered because we didn't want puppies. We had one that was named blue that was a Dane/mastiff mix he was such a good boy. He passed away about 3 years ago. He was 12 years old all my Danes lived anywhere from 11-13 years old. After Blue passed Rick has decided he wants a Corso. Do you know anyone in Oklahoma that is reputable That charges a fairly low price for them?
It is what it is as it pertains to the rehoming fee. The initial cost of the dog has nothing to do with the new expenses you had to incur after she was returned. New health evaluation, cost of maintaining her, training and etc. Besides, for as long as i have been following, you breed for the quality of the breed, not quantity to make a profit. These are the Bentleys of their breed. The price is the price new and used.
Honestly I would say charge should be less because not getting a puppy and even though might do a behavior correction, they are older. But I do understand you do provide great quality breed. I am interested but will be inquiring when ready
@TwelveTitansKennels I guess because most people want a puppy. I know when I'm ready, I'm going for a puppy. And honestly knowing that someone already paid full price for him also makes me want a discount especially when I love the breed an dogs in general so expect a discount price. No offense just my thoughts.
Well the reality is is you have extra training and cost into rehabbing the dog that dog has built a bond with somebody and it's going through a dramatic time in their life I personally think a breeder that knows the quality that they're are putting out there should be able to choose their own price I do believe it is your choice on how you do it not some guy making dumb comments on the internet but then again as of right now I guess I'm one of those dumb guys making comments on the internet LOL
There paying for boarding, vaccine, and if they want the ears crop and tails. Bloodline for a purebred dog to purchase is expensive. And vet check ups and shots are not cheap.
I think you should charge full price to rehome your dogs. Those dogs were in pretty bad shape when they were returned to you. They had emotional and physical problems that you had to address. Yau’ll invested a lot of time and money 💰 in these dogs. This gives them a chance to be rehomed if you choose to. When you adopt a child whether it’s an infant or a 17 year old, the process is basically the same. There are very few things in this world that are free. And if it is free RUN. 😎

My dad has me watching your channel and I love it! Hopefully, one day I could surprise him with one of your babies.

❤❤. So happy she got a home Everything is a gamble life love and happiness. I’m sure you are hopeful that this was a prefect fit.
She knew they were hers, I love that. My hope is that your adoptes understand consistent long term training is important for the breed.
Audi definitely claimed them from the first time she met them ❤
For any breed. Training and socializing dogs isn't optional.

All sales should be final
😆
@TwelveTitansKennels it's true, deposits are non refundable.
You ‘mentioned’ 18 - But you have 19 😅
No please keep them with the family 😊
Hello 22 corso’s pm so happy you do what is best for your Corso’s!!!💕😎🤗
And charge what you think is best!! If someone thinks it’s to much they don’t buy one good grief what’s wrong with people.
I don't know - they also invent things 😆
What was your determining factor to re-home Audi and not the other one
Greetings all, longtime no see
Hello there! Indeed long time... check out what we've been up to => bit.ly/4bm0JDK
Pretty good meat. My dogs breeder has the same supplier as you. He sells meat too.
I don't think they should be charged the same price may be a different price that is lower
Actually, reputable breeders sell older, trained dogs for more. The training can be expensive. When you buy a puppy, it's not trained.
Bingo - you hit the nail on the head ❤
It is what it is as it pertains to the rehoming fee. The initial cost of the dog has nothing to do with the new expenses you had to incur after she was returned. "The price is the price - new and used" - I'm cracking up 😆
18 mentioned because you did mention Dominus twice. But you placed the new male on the screen but 18 mentions.
Ericka the puppy’s have miles now😅 so you are suppose to charge less like a used car. Wow, that’s insane how people think
LOL!! Yes, more like "hugs"... I guess they're considered "used" if they have over 100 hugs... 😆
I would love to give one of them a fur ever home please
19 Corso Crew 🎉
I'd love to be the fur ever home for one or both of those returned beauties seriously interested
Honestly I would say charge should be less because not getting a puppy and even though might do a behavior correction, they are older. But I do understand you do provide great quality breed.
I am interested but will be inquiring when ready
Interesting 🤔 why do you think an older puppy has less value?
@TwelveTitansKennels I guess because most people want a puppy. I know when I'm ready, I'm going for a puppy.
