Tamara Walcott only began powerlifting four years ago, now she is setting records in the sport.
At the 2022 World Raw Powerlifting Federation American Pro in Manassas, Virginia, USA, Tamara is aiming to set a new record for the heaviest cumulative lift for bench/squat and press in competition (female).

I do strongman and powerlifting with some insanely strong people at my local gym and EVERYONE sees Tamara as an inspiration, especially the women in our gym. It’s amazing to see such a positive and wonderful person shining more light on women in this sport.

Well I think it's because she is competing against other people for the record, but I don't know if that's how they have the titles in other videos similar to this

She is so so inspirational to me. I started powerlifting almost a year ago and she has become just a beacon of hope to me. I get emotional just seeing how much she can do and thinking about what’s in store for me in my powerlifting career. Tamara Walcott will always be an icon.

Her story is great and her dedication and progress is phenomenal.
She embodies the principles of “extraordinary results require extraordinary effort” a philosophy that is applicable to any athlete that wants to be the best version of themselves in their dedicated art.

Not tryna be the other person, but her gender is like..very relevant. It is significantly more difficult for a cis woman to hit the numbers she does than a cis man (due to hormones like testosterone, bone density, muscle mass and capacity, androgen receptor sensitivity upon a myriad of other biological variables). I get what you were trying to say though, it’s just important Tamara gets her credit for the incredible numbers she’s pulling off.

Nobody and nothing is really “weak” but the fact is men are stronger than woman. One of the strongest woman benched 380 pounds. A “decent” male weightlifter benches 405. The world record for male bench is over 700 pounds. 300 pounds to 700. That’s the difference

What?? Lifting weights heavier than your body weight is easy and most people can do it with little to no training.
