WaveAction777 We agree with you that the granite is a classy look. These granite treads are 2 inches thick And this trade it runs roughly $12 a linear foot. Thanks for checking out the video appreciate it
Barney... The music was a mistake… But we put the text in it So the volume could be turned all the way down and you can still get the step-by-step. Thanks for checking it out
Hey Dean and Derek, we recently had a contractor demolish our front single step. However, they were going to rebuild it to original. Lots of cracks in the mortar and moss growing between some of the bricks. We also had small leak in basement when it rained really hard. How much was this job? My contractor start out at one price and kept going up in price. An additional $900 for a $1700 quoted price.
Eric J Simmons it difficult for us to give our opinion of pricing on a job as we do not know all the conditions and specs of the job. Demolition is always tricky as you never know what you’re getting into. Any cracks should be fixed and filled.
If you put the treads on first, you might not get the proper over hang. You never want the riser stone to be flush with the treads. It's not a good look
If we were doing it today we would’ve used Ardex 32 To set the treads and Ardex 77 to set thin veneer... just drove by this project a few weeks ago and it’s still standing strong with the Type S.
Nice.
very good explain, thank you Dean and Derek. God bles you.
Looks great! I have something similar but it gets so dirty should I seal the granite or just power wash?
Thank you really enjoyed the video really good professional work 👍👍up
Thank you Hiram
awesome work! where is this located?
SpartanFit! Thanks. This is located in Mass.
@@DeanandDerek Were in mass I am in Mass and need some help on a project! Maybe once this corona issue is squared away.
Never liked brick for step surfaces, the granite looks classy and the job was done great. How much does one of those granite treads cost to buy?

@@DeanandDerek Thanks Guys!!! Great work you guys do!!!
Is putting the treads on last really the best way? I planned on putting treads first and then stone veneer everything after

Dean and Derek got it!! Thx for the tip
@@abuzz5395 Our pleasure. Good luck!
Is the veneer stones real ?
Mahesh yes the thin veneer in the video is real stone not cultured cement veneer. Thanks for checking it out.
nice job..
what type of saw and blade you are using to cut stone ?
Granite would be slippery, how about bluestone?
That tread has a flamed top..good traction
Type S not ThinSet? Why?
If we were doing it today we would’ve used Ardex 32 To set the treads and Ardex 77 to set thin veneer... just drove by this project a few weeks ago and it’s still standing strong with the Type S.
Super Work

Other than the migraine because of your music, the video was good. What reason do you have for blasting this horrid music
That music made me skip to the end
хорошая робота молодцы
Hey Guys lose the irritating music. Maybe if you spoke more you wouldn't need the music.
