Thanks to a girlfriend who was an avid Dylan fan, I caught the Rolling Thunder Revue in Colorado.. it was in a sense a life changing event for my way of thinking...
@@georgiasam4151 Weirdly enough, I was much closer to the front than the taper, so although this recording brings back great memories, they are also more "distant". Much appreciated, though.

Got a link to audio download on Christmas Eve 1999. I couldn’t believe how great it was. The video doesn’t add much except for how cool Bob’s boots are.
I have only listened to the audio so far so I can't comment on the video. What a great performance! Thanks for posting! Ballad of Frankie Lee Judas Priest! Country pie!
When I saw Dylan in 2000, I came away thinking it was THE BEST SHOW ever performed. It was a hot night outside on the Delaware River.. and I'll be damned if I can remember the date. Bob began promptly at 7 p.m. with the crowd still filing in.. taking little notice of the opener Duncan and Brady. He didn't end til just about 9 p.m. I didn't stay to hear the entire Phil Lesh Band set which I was told went on til nearly midnight. I don't look these things up. More interested in my memories.. than my memory.. know what I mean? RED WHITE AND BLUE SHOESTRINGS. Thank you. And Bob.
Good...no ... GREAT job capturing the stage and the sound! It's incredible, too! Plus, well, I'm jealous that I wasn't there. I'm 63, he's almost 81 and there's quite literally no chance I will ever see Dylan in concert. It means so much to see THIS! Thank you, whoever you are! ♥️♥️♥️
@@beckerickson8034 I'm all the way over on the East Coast and unfortunately, travelling that far is just not an option for me. I'm good with that as long as there are video recordings of some of his latest tour. ♥️
I'll never see Bob either now as he isn't likely to come to New Zealand or Australia. At least we have RUclips and DVD's...he's been such a giver...made the World a better place! What a privilege to have been living at the same time as this musical Genius!
I first became aware of Dylan when my sister's boy friend, now my brother in law, who was in a band and left his fender guitar and amp at my house along with the Dylan Highway 61 album. I new 3 cords that my mom had shown me, and played and played the album, every song, especially Like a Rolling Stone. I loved it was in 1967. Dylan was the biggest influence on my music. Even today I play his songs and his style along with the harmonica. I have been fortunate to have seen him three times in concert. It was great!
From a professional point of view the filming of the concert is dodgy - However great yassou and Rau you have done a magnificent job on the audio and this is now my all-time favourite Dylan RUclips recording - thank you
Hello there, thank you for posting this track/album/concert. It is included inside Bob Dylan's Music Box (search for The Bob Dylan Project 🎩 WEBSITE) Come and join us inside and listen to every available song composed, recorded or performed by Bob Dylan, plus all the great covers streaming on RUclips, Spotify, Deezer and SoundCloud.
Indeed it is. .... I've viewed it a bunch through the years on that Keith Gubitz channel. I remember purchasing the boot at my local record store for $40 or $50 back in 2002 or '03. ... Also recall them having a huge box set which contained every recording from the '00 Fall tour going for like $300 or $350 gorgeously displayed behind the counter. .... At the time couldn't justify dropping that kinda coin, yet totally wish I did. Even if downloads are easily accessable nowadays there's just something about those silver discs boots.. .... LoL, also guessing such a set would go for over a grand and only going up with time.... Even used. ....... Anyways, can clearly tell this vid is upgraded. ... Great times 😃. Appreciate the upload, Mr. Sam 🙏👍 ... 🤘✌️
God damn! Dylan is just fucking amazing, how he calls an audible with his band, on any given night on any given song, and it comes out usually better or just as good. Take “Trying To Get To Heaven” for instance. His rendition here makes me want to weep and mourn the loss of someone more than the studio version does.
I was at this gig. I also had a spare ticket that i couldn't give away. This was in the days before social media, of course. But imagine having a Bob Dylan ticket that nobody wanted?

I was at this. It was fabulous, and I think part of the reason was it was a small Victorian town hall, not a corporate mega-Arena.
