    • @Viera95
      @Viera95  5 лет назад +5

      mickeythepuppy I haven’t tried it. I looked into Propylene Glycol and can’t figure out exactly what it does either. I’m thinking it acts as a preservative but I’m not 100% sure. I did see that it has some amount of toxicity to humans I figure the fog fluid seems to work so well without it why introduce something that could be harmful.

    • @Heavymedicine1
      @Heavymedicine1 3 года назад +4

      @@Viera95 Both Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin are ingredients that produce "fog". They are also used as the base for electronic cigarettes/vape e-liquid (with added flavoring and nicotine) which can either be mixed together at the desired ratio or on their own depending on the users preferences.
      Propylene Glycol tends to produce more of that harsh feeling in your throat that people are accustomed to when smoking tobacco, whereas vegetable glycerin is far more effective at making thick clouds of "vapor" that doesn't disappear immediately in your lungs leaving you nothing to exhale after taking a puff.
      So I think you are probably right that for the purposes of making fog juice it's probably not necessary to include propylene glycol in the mix. It may not last as long but it'll probably be nicer to your lungs.

    2.5 cups and 0.5 cups is a 5 to 1 ratio (about 17% glycerin); 20% is a 4 to 1 ratio.
    For the 3 cups total, a 20% glycerin mixture would use 0.6 cups glycerin (and 2.4 cups water), not 0.5.
    For a 20% mix, maybe 2 cups water and 0.5 cups glycerin (total 2.5 cups), or perhaps a "large" batch using 800ml water to 200ml glycerin (1 liter total) would be easier.
    Using milliliters (ml) could also make it easier if one wanted to experiment with different ratios to make a 1 liter batch, such as 85% (850ml) and 15% (150ml).

      Original reply:
      I made this video 5 years ago so prices have changed quite a bit since.
      That being said you can make a lot of fog fluid from a gallon of glycerin since it only takes about 2.4 cups of glycerin to make 1 gallon of fog fluid.
      You can make 6.6 gallons of fog juice for your $86 dollars that’s only $13 per gallon of fog fluid so you would still be saving money.
      Don’t forget you don’t have to buy an entire gallon of glycerin at a time.
      Hope this helps thanks for watching.
