    Since the video is pretty old you probably already know what the the banjo bolt you removed is for. In case someone wonders: it is part of the AVCS system of the intake cam and the blue connector next to it connects to the AVCS control valve for that cam and is held in place by the normal bolt next to the banjo bolt.

    I don't know what's wrong with mine. Mine is a WRX Sedan but its the same boxer motor in 2011 as the STI has. If by some chance this is the injectors it does give me a bit of insight of what I need to do. Mine has been in the shop for two weeks and the mechanic couldn't find it but didn't really have the big scan tool. I got into some bad misfiring issues. I changed all 4 coils and spark plugs with NGK parts. Was running fine then its misfiring again. Now it sorta runs despite misfiring on three cylinders for a short while with the lights on before it gets bad again. I don't know if it is fuel, electronic or anything. I live in an area with no Subaru mechanics and saying WRX to them is like speaking another language to them. It's fun to drive but my god when there is an issue it always seems to be a pain and extremely expensive. You got no help around here with them and the reddit mod is toxic and rude more than not. Now I'm paying around 400 dollars a month for a car I can't drive. Really like the car but it is making me pull all my hair out.

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you! Cobb dose not support a stage 2 SF+ map on the 2015+ STI. I guess something changed with the fuel system from Subaru so the car ran extremely lean with the Downpipe and the Intake. So I needed the Injectors to compensate for the lack of fuel. So the Downpipe is what sparked doing the injectors, boost controller, etc. I never had these issues on my 2007, 2011, 2008 or 2006 STI's in the past so I was a little shocked to find out that something like this changed with the platform.

    • @Smeedia
      @Smeedia  5 лет назад +2

      @@insightv1.074 I'm actually on the dyno right now. So what I was told by the tuner is that the 15+ models make more power weather or not Subaru admits it or not and the OEM injectors are already pushed to their limit with basic mods like an intake or a downpipe. So you cannot run a downpipe and intake together on any of Cobbs OTS maps or your car will run very lean. This happened to me and is what sparked me getting all of these parts and a protune.

      On your WRX? They're direct Injected. I've never seen one of those start to go bad. You'll 100% want to clear fuel pressure. Your car uses a High pressure fuel pump so you'll be misted with a ton of fuel if you don't
