If you want to save time and money cut the inlet and out let pipes under the dash and just slide out the old heater core cut both pipes on the new heater core and connect them with 5/8 heater hose and clamps I did this on my 2012 200 it works perfect didn’t even have to loosen the dash or steering column!! Hope this helps someone
Carl Hall it’s a hell of a lot easier then what he got going on here u have to take the heat duct that is on the driver feet off and the panel under the steering wheel so you can move around a little easier cut the pipes I used a grinder you just have to be willing to cut the new one I eyeballed where to cut it once I slid the old one out and cut that then 5/8 heater hose and four clamps one for every end just make sure you disconnect the hoses under the hood and U blew the old coolant out so u don’t make a mess on the floor board and I also went around the hoses under the dash with high heat gasket sealant the whole thing should only take an hour or two depends on how organized your tool box is 😉
Carl Hall a $100 dollar gamble was worth saving thousands or 8+ hours labor and it paid off I have to turn the heat down last year I flushed it out and it helped a little but this is a new heater core and you can tell
Patrick Payne I did remove the brace bolts and the entire HVAC assembly came forward with the dash there was also a hidden bolt down on the passenger floor board

It isn’t a easy job good luck
@@RCMTAdventures we’ve done plenty of heater cores. Alldata didn’t show the bolts there inside the Apillars
I hope to God this isn't my problem! My heater sounds like it's purring or winding up and down?? Any suggestions as to what that might be?
Something in your blower motor probably check your cabin filters
This friggin thing blew burning my daughter's feet on a 2012 200. 5 months later it's blown again.
This core has been changed 5 times since first video.
How much it did it take to do it all ? I got to do one for a cliente and i want to calculate my time.
Jowey2010 including remove and recharge the A/C 4-6 hours been a few days since I did this job
@@RCMTAdventures cool Nice job thanks for the info.
those 2 hidden bolts he showed holds the instrument panel support brace on.
Patrick Payne yes they do
Wait you had to take the whole car apart to get to the heater core?😂😂😂
richardrockie yeah what a shit job
did you have to remove that brace? did you leave the entire hvac housing in place? im doing on a 2008 sebring convert but it has a similar setup
Patrick Payne I did remove the brace bolts and the entire HVAC assembly came forward with the dash there was also a hidden bolt down on the passenger floor board
Did you have to remove the dash
Jaydan Alston no I didn't. I moved it back as far as the steering column would allow and slid it out it was a struggle near the column
