I'm totally glad this video was made. Since I now realize I'm not the only one who has had weird unusual colors on their coils. My coils have a burnt dark black marks on all of them. Pretty sure this guy just saved me alot of time figuring out why my car has been running sluggish. Big thanks

thanks for the video. i got into an accident running into the back of a corolla 3 years ago. almost no damage to the outside of the car at all and the corollas trunk was smashed completely in. this thing is an interesting tank. small issues so far but ultimately only had to change out the airbags and dash. no lights on dash now. i actually like my car for what it is.
Same thing happened to me, in this case though the other car flipped, fortunately enough everyone was ok thanks to the safety of the vehicle 🫡
Number 6. Battery location in order to get the battery out you have to lift the car up high enough to take the driver front tire off and get a jack stand under the vehicle. Take the inner fender liner off and there's the battery in front of the driver front tire.

Yeah ,putting in a new battery was a PITA, but my 200 has been a great car
That was the most annoying fix on this car. Took me 2 years before I realized there was no battery in the engine bay lol

My 2.7 V6 E85 had exactly the same problems. And the dash lights are out 2 times trough the years. Otherside a great car with more than 200k miles. A low cost slow granny car👍🏽

Absolutely not I've replace the heater core the motor at 75000 miles now I has 101 and the timing chain tensioner has gone bad
We have a 2014 LX and the traction control light goes off and on intermittently even when it's in park. Has something that draws on the battery if it sits for a few days. Recently started getting a raw gassy smell from exhaust too.

I having 2012 200 touring .. love this car as well.. got it at 165km and it's at 226km lol had to change the thermostats recently and my horn went out today .. I've replaced thermostat housing back in 2020 dec.. still love the car cause the seats, interior and smooth ride

Hello. I have a 2012 Chrysler 200. Can you tell me why is it that every time I take my foot off the gas pedal the car cut completely off but as long as my foot is on the gas pedal it runs?

I am having issues with my 2014 V6 . Coils spark plugs injectors have been done . Cylinder 4 misfire low compression. Won't start now but started by having trouble starting . Was in the shop for 14 hours and they couldn't figure it out said they think electrical but they are lost !

I have a 2013 200 V6 the center climate control dial sometimes when the Heat doesn't come up I have to twist it to the left then all the way to the right and mostly the heat comes up good and strong , any idea ?
Window switch on mine and when I'm going 30 mph it jerks idk if that's the transmission. Heater problems and ac making a ticking noise. Needs new shocks but everything else working good 170000 miles so far. Any one know if they interference or non interference engines??

My 2014 200 gets 30 miles to the gallon on the hyway. It's a nice quiet ride. The seats are very comfortable for long drives. I love my car.
I also have a 2014 town and country. I love this one even more.

I can't ask for anymore from a v6! But I did order an odb plug in module that supposedly gives you a bit more power and better gas mileage. I am quite skeptical of this device. However, I must admit on a recent trip to DC, the computer did indicate 33.1 mpg. So maybe it's doing something.
I just purchased a used 2013 Chrysler 200 at 113k miles..I just got a battery put in! Do you think this is a good sustainable, reliable vehicle? Also how long in terms of miles (with on time maintenance), do you think it will last?
Thank you my 2012 Chrysler 200, for 6 years now, has had a problem with ideal after 10 minutes, will trigger the p0171 to leen, it works perfectly fine, how ever when smog if Ideal longer than 10/15 minutes before complete then it won't pass fortunately till now it pass, I've been doing research for quite some time now so are those the two spots I should look first

2013 200 cuts all engine power when going to accelerate. Will not start back up unless I remove body ground. Any fix for this?
My car has been pulling a p0440 check engine light for Evap system. I’m hoping #5 will be saving grace if the light comes on again. My dad keeps thinking it’s gas light. Also my drivers rear window Doesn’t go down on the main control . I’ve been feeling like my car hates me so I’m glad to know I’m not alone
I've found that if you press the window lock button it will restore function to the window switch.

So I have a 2014 200 and I get rough idle when I start it up but then after about a minute or two it goes away what can cause that
I have a 2013 Chrysler 200 touring 2.4, I have had to change all three actuators, throttle body and canister vent valve. My wife and I really like the car and bought it new, but we still have trouble from time to time with code for intake vacuum leak which led to changing the throttle body the first time. Before changing the throttle body, it went into the creep mode and would not go over 30 mph with the pedal to metal or all the way to the floor. The trouble lights will come on the dash but when you restart the car only the check engine light will be lit. Check engine light will go away after a little more driving and the problem may not come back for days, weeks or months. Crazy situation, we like driving the car but we have 2 other vehicles, so we don't go out of town with it. I have taken it to the dealer several times over the years and they change throttle body or reboot the computer. We have had the throttle body changed once and reboot CPU I think 5 times, and I have yet to see a difference except it has not gone in limp mode since changing the throttle body. We have had people wanting to buy the car and I have thought of it, but my wife says no. I myself didn't want to sell it because what they offer is not enough to replace the car if I chose to, so we keep it and enjoy the good times.
I have 200 - 2012 with 66.000 miles and I am having some of the issues in the above video PLUS horn issues. Dealership changed the switch in the steering wheel. Picked it up from dealership and after 10 minutes of driving it; the horn started blowing non-stop!! Drove it directly back to the dealership with horn blowing, so they couldn't deny they hadn't fixed it. They said they would look into it further. Upon further investigation, I was told it would be between $1200-$1700 to fix. I drove it home and it has been parked for four months; sometimes with intermittent horn beeps. To date, the battery is dead- no horn issues!! Now I have a car that is dead and I need transportation.
unless ur car is under warranty or getting some type of warranty work done to it... dont ever take it to the dealer, they will screw the hell out of u, u need to look for a reliable mechanic shop and take it there
My daughters car has horn issue also. She’s taking it into the dealership Thursday to get it fixed. Hers is 2012 also. The other issue she is having is it stalling out at a traffic light and have to wait for almost an hour to start back up and takes off again. We had the throttle body replaced before and I’m thinking it needs to be cleaned or something?
We had this issue. My husband replaced the entire integrated power module himself for I think $85. Saved us $1200k+ that a dealer quoted us. No horn issues since

2012 LTD purchased from rental use. I spend about $1200 average per year in none related maintenance repairs (heater core was s big one last year) for the last 3 years and the car runs great. Always starts even in extreme cold temps (no block heater). Changed all fluids and plugs at 100,000 kms. Air filter twice a year when tires change over.
130,000 kms to date and runs like new. Hope to do 300,000 + kms.
Hopefully, I got lucky.
I have a 2011. It has over 240k and runs like a champ in our Wisconsin winters!
My 2012 touring is at 226km.. other then regular changes like tires n rotors.. and once ball joints.. I've changed thermo housing(dec 2020)and thermo stat(April 2022) and today the horn went out.. still the car runs smooth and is comfortable
Hey I got p0300 p0301 I changed all coils and sparplugs but it still got multiples misfires do u think fuel pump can do the problem ?
You need 3 things to not misfire
1 compression
2 fuel
3 spark
Could be any of the above

I have a crystler 200 2012 and I’ve gotten the heater core replaced and radiator . I have tapping inside my car on my passenger side but it started running hot and I pulled over on the side of the road and the car started running hot . And then it wouldn’t crank . I don’t know why it won’t Ik I do need a air filter and a actuator . I just got a oil change . I’m just hopping it’s not a blown head gasket cause I really don’t have money to fix that or money to buy a new car
My wife's car pulses when going between 20-30mph then is fine. No clue there. Also having issues with the heat. Replaced the thermostat, flushed the heater core, refilled the coolant and it doesn't seem to get to operating temp. Almost like there's too much coolant circulating. The heat worked for about a week now it's back to luke-warm even after it's been on for an hour. Drove the car for 2hrs and the heat was still cool. Radiator is fine. Maybe get a new heater core?
Have you ever come across a 2013 chryer 200 where the horn just stopped working? If so what did you to diagnose the problem?
The horn is under the passenger headlight you have to take the front bumper off but it's a easy switch

#3 Throttle Body, if you have to replace it is it true you have to use a high end scanner to calibrate and or reset the warning light/codes? If I can’t clear them myself there’s no point in replacing the throttle body right?
Replace or else you will get left stranded in limp mode. Unplug your battery and replace it yourself. No calibration needed
You should mention top radiator hoses on all these Chrysler Jeep models...even the vehicle n this video shows signs of leaking...

I 'steam cleaned' my motor with the coolant because the plastic coupling on the radiator hoses where the pressure cap fits broke completely off on one side and my hose was loose and spraying my coolant out. $14 to buy a replacement, took more time to wipe all the hoses and plastic covers off than to replace the failed part, very stupid to make it out of cheap plastic and not metal.
Had almost all these problems checked off on mine😂 and fuel pump issues
I am having an issue with my 2012. The abs and brake light keep blinking on and off while I am driving and the odometer keeps fluctuating from my current speed to 0. Nobody seems to be able to figure out what’s wrong in order to fix the problem. Any suggestions?! 10:03
Look for loose connections at the battery and cables. The battery in these cars is very hard to access and so cable tightness can go unchecked. Tight cable connections are the first thing to check on any electrical problem.
Only problem I have had with mine (2012 limited edition) is my AC condenser leaked due the rock puncture other than that all good so far.
How much did they charge you to fix that? I also have a 2012, and I think I may have the same issue.
For the coils pull the clip while running if it changes the way it runs its not that coil clip it back and move to the next one
I’ve owned a 2012 200 since new and at 155k, I’ve had none of these problems with my vericle.
Maybe back in 2012 your car 200 was assembly in Japan
Hi thank you for the video. I just bought a 2012 Chrysler 200, I'm having issues with my widows drivers door sometimes not shutting. Opens fine but doesn't like to close. Drivers door switch for rear widow opens the window but also won't close it. So the video helped a lot.
My question for you is about my dashboard making clicking noises, top middle and right side when car is off.

Just found out my 200 had no air filter. Have been running it like that for maybe 2yrs. I must’ve forgotten to ever replace it.. since I had it seating in the garage for a few months 3yrs ago
I have a 2011 chrysler 200. My fuse number 23 which is a 15amp (ASD) Relay Feed 3 keeps blowing. The car will trun over but won't crank. The fuse blows instantly everytime. Any ideas. I have replaced the ASD relay already still the same think

The Blend Actuator is a common problem with these cars also.

My 2012 chrysler 200 lx 2.4l engine vibrates heavy when vehicle gear is in drive as well as acceleration. What may the issues be? It have fresh motor oil, new plugs and coils, cleaned throttle bottle, has new filter and replaced the motor mounts and still have the same issue. What can I check next

Does it shake while your driving at a certain speed! Or when just sitting and it's in drive like your at a light or something or park?
I have a 2012 Dodge Avenger with a 2.4L engine . Car runs fine but when I’m at a stop sign or traffic light it vibrates while gear selector is in drive . As soon as I accelerate even slightly or put the car in park the vibration goes away . My motor mounts are fine as well
Had the same problem it was my coils...I changed the 4coils and it works great now.
I have a 2012 200 and have it since 2014. Always getting evap codes. The windows have stopped working before, fixed it and now my radio doesn't work. I've had to full on replace the engine head and transmission over the years. I still drive it a lot but recently the car began to randomly stall and start back up after waiting around 10 minutes. I checked the codes and I've gotten P0335 and P0339 codes. Bought the recommended piece, hopefully it's what works. I really don't want to take the throttle piece off myself.
I believe those codes relate to the crank position sensor, not anything to do with the throttle body, if that's what you meant by throttle piece.
Jacobi mine is also 2012 my radio stopped working the other day and there's actually a recall on the radio so get in contact with Chrysler

Totally accurate! Master window switch went out, throttle body went out twice along with the thermostat. And DONT FORGET about these damn headlights and bulbs!!!

How to replace the ac actuator behind the radio.
Mine overheats. Replaced allpmost ecerythubg that can cause it to overheat and they still cant figure out why
2014 and no issues with mine except the ticking noise when changing the air from recirculated to fresh. And that was just $10 to fix lol.

I'm having the same problem. It shuts off when I'm driving - but not always. No check engine lights, I have BlueDriver hooked up looking for codes, but it's not throwing any. I've had it to my mechanic's shop twice, they can't find anything wrong, I took it to a Chrysler dealer's repair shop. They ran a 4-hour comprehensive test, couldn't find anything wrong. But it stalled 4 times in one day last week! I have it at another Chrysler dealer's repair shop, but so far no answers. If you got an answer to your question, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.
Try checking the Crank shaft sensor. Mine did it as well going to work. It stalled while driving then started then cut off and started again. But it eventually threw a code and when replaced the crank shaft sensor it's been starting right up.

i cleaned the throttle body on my 2013 200s 2.4 and I opened it with my finger... I have with a lot of different electric throttle bodies... I have never had an issue and I have never heard anyone say you may decalibrate it. sounds like you made that up lol... I believe some are different than others so use caution don't force them. if it feels like it is gonna break it probably will.

What would make a knocking noise under my glove box when the heat or ac is on?

You take out the glove box and you see a little white plastic looks thing. It’s a cheap part and if you search on RUclips you can see how to change it yourself
@@rachelgawrysiakschwister2982 The A/C blower fan is located right under the glove box. If you remove the panel that's under the glove box you can see it (it's just a few clips to remove) I know because my blower is going out and sometimes I have to give it a few taps under the glove box so it can start back up LOL
@@rachelgawrysiakschwister2982 It could be the blend door actuator, which directs heat/cooling to either the floor or vents when you turn the knob telling where the heat/cooling to go. Example, defrost for front windshield, or legs are cold and direct heat to the floor area. Hope this helped, cheers!
In the 4 years I've had my 2014, we have replaced the throttle body, both thermostats, entire new cooling system, rotors, brakes (twice), battery (twice), alternator (twice). The window motor on passenger front was replaced when i first got it. I'm getting ready to have to fix the ABS system as theres an issue there now that has been some type of issue going on for months. It's throwing codes for catalyc converter and of course theres an older recall (for airbag, I think) that I've got to take it in for also.
If it wasn't almost paid off, I'd be trading her in. I just don't want to start over and I've put thousands of dollars of repairs in to her at this point.
How I got her? She chose me. She was a repo the credit union had and I was getting rid of a 25 yr old Lumina and getting into this car so at the time, I couldn't beat it. However, if I had to do it again- would I? I wouldve shopped around a little more first to make sure I was getting the best deal possible for my situation at the time. However, I do not want another chrysler, dodge, or other mopar product. I've driven them for years and always have had many repairs to deal with.

So you’re sayin’ she’s been reliable? Lol. My mom has this car and it’s been nothing but trouble, before this 200 my parents were the first owners of a Chrysler New Yorker, transmission went out at 92k. Never buying an American made car. I’m Buying a Hyundai in a few weeks, Toyota is too expensive.
If the master switch for the windows dies, does that disable the switches on the other doors from operating the window? My passenger side window went down but wont go back up, the switch on that door as well as the master switch do not work to have it roll back up. would replacing the master fix this issue if its not in fact the motor?
I had the same problem and switched the door one first no power still then switched the master and it corrected it now my master won't control the passenger but it works on its on so I still have no idea if it controls it or not lol....now mine won't crank at all so I'm trying to figure out why we have no fire
One thing that has worked for me on the windows is holding the passenger window button up on both master and passenger door at the same time....mine will do that sometimes also
