Thank you SO much for this really great video. I had been trying (without success) to pattern match a fabric all afternoon with pins and basting, but I just could not get it right. I decided to see what RUclips had and I found your video - It is amazing, so simple once explained. I have now finished pattern matching and its perfect! I cannot thank you enough for this xx
So glad it helped you 😍👌. Thank you for sharing your experience! Good luck with your projects. Check my other sewing videos in our "Sewing Lessons" playlist.
I’m interested in your videos about your drapery workroom and using the different machines. I pattern match the same way but you gave me even more tips! Your English is great! Completely understood you. Thank you!
Thank you, Nadia! Excellent explanation! Now that I have the pattern match down, I need to address the fact that the print is not on the straight grain of the fabric. It moves down about an inch over a 54" width. Why on Earth did they do that????
Thank you for the comment and a good question. Unfortunately this problem does exist. Most of the times this happens with lower quality fabrics but believe it or not ones in a while I get this with pretty expansive fabrics too. Some patterns just not possible to match.
Yes it can be used for anything to match fabric picture. Thank you for question and comment. Check my other sewing videos in our channel "Sewing Instructions Videos"
I don’t understand why, just before you sew, you move the fabric on top over a bit to the right. Can you please tell me why, and how much to move it over?
If the upper material is not moved, part of the pattern will go into the seam and the resulting pattern on the face will be incorrect, it will be brocken. Thank you for good question.
Can you show how to close a miniture doll pillow (by hand or when stuffed on machine) i always have a hard time with that. Great video, I'll be using this one day :)
I`m planning make video how to make pillow with symmetrical pattern. I will close pillow by hand. Hope it will help you. If not let me know and I will make video how to close pillow with more details.
@@whoyoum you mentioned that you do certain things on your household machine, and certain things on your industrial machine, I would love to know what certain things you do on each, also about doing the pillow where it’s the same both sides and matches beautifully in the corners xx
@@cathtaylor2771 It is always different depending on what I am making. But in general anything can be done on household machine. The main difference is speed. As for the pillows, my limited English may be not enough to explain everything to the smallest details but just watch that video on slower speed and you'll see how I'm doing it.😊
What a fantastic way to match material especially for drapes. Thank you Nadia!!! Chatsworth, GA USA

Thank you for this excellent video, how much do you move the fabric to the right before sewing? Is it 0.5cm/ 1/4 inch or less?
Wow good job! Thanks for sharing
Wonderful idea. Is it only for drapes? Could it be used for making garments?

How do you finish the seam after first matching seam is done?
That is all, I do not do anything else. Thank you for question.

I’d love to know what the differences are used for on each machine and also the pillow please x
Sorry, I did not quite understand your question. Can you clarify, please.
