Because if u compare Sukuna with less then half his fingers cuting a especial level curse in 8 with his domain expanssion and then seing the dmg that he made with 20 fingers for the frist time they did domain expanssion againts gojo, the Diference is gigantic even if the sukuna managed to cleave him with the expancion in the end, it was still One cut, in contrast to the 8 diferent cuts on the special curse that sukuna did wen he was weaker
Só gojo would have goten damaged with makimas bang but not as much as shown in the animation.

@@crazyelementalguy9649 i stopped reading originally around the the time gojo was captured, so roughly around where the anime is at right now. a bit earlier actually. i think around chapter 80-90ish? caught up from there all the way up to the current chapter.
(and to be fair, i didn't just read it for death battle. it just so happened that i started reading again just after death battle announced the match up)
I'd say skipping Makima's analysis is clever choice if you haven't read the manga. because they are basically spoiling the ENTIRE plot of the manga (part 1) lmao.

according to death battles little analysis they actually ranked makima as being faster than gojo but gojo being stronger. her "bang" attack also isn't actually a physical attack persay so there's nothing for infinity to block.
I think they meant in reflexes, not actually run speed and the difference wasn't large enough to matter.

Honestly, this match is so vague because of how confusing Makima is. You're not supposed to understand her details because Chainsaw man isn't really your typical manga that explains everything. It's horror. It's based off of your interpretation.

This fight is interesting although i dont agree with the verdict, explanation and the false equivalencies they made, + they missed out on some of her abilities. It's a close fight either way and the animation was great. Enjoyed
