I think that story of Arnold pranking Jessie was on the DVD specials of "Predator". Great stuff. The amount of testosterone floating around whilst shooting this movie must've been enormous.
I always imagined that any female that showed up to the predator set was immediately impregnated by osmosis via the thickness of testerone in the air 😂
Seth Rollins' entrance partners were Philly icons the Mummers. Yes, Mummers, as in "of the same tradition as the subject of a Loreena McKennitt song." Party atmosphere is kinda their thing; they were a part of the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl victory parade some years ago as well. They also have a big parade in the city as well, including the band shown here. And yes, they do dress like Elton John from the '70s all the time.

Folks, it isn’t because they’re getting old that OSW doesn’t know Meek Mill, IShowSpeed, or Yeet: the OSW guys have existed in this weird side universe since they started recording! Even in their late 20’s they were only referencing Alan Partridge and No Limit by 2 Unlimited.
They used to be with ‘it’, but then others changed what ‘it’ was. Now what they're with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary. It’ll happen to you!
I always think "man if i was on OSW I'd be charming and funny while sneaking in as many classic OSW refs as possible", and then Matt goes off and does it sooooo good. Great eps boyos!
I rewatched the New Gen Arc recently and he absolutely _nailed_ the, "[Texan Accent] Bulldog here..." gag from one of those episodes. Popped me good and proper.
30:08 or so: I'm reminded of possibly the most American piece of trivia I've ever heard. Pepsi (before the era of the energy drink) once sold a more highly-caffeinated version of standard Pepsi and marketed it as a, "breakfast soda." ...umm... do with that information what you will. Also, awesome show - Matt's a fantastic addition and fits more seamlessly into the general OSW craic than anyone I can think of except _possibly_ Allison (certainly if you allow for the fact that she knew frig all about wrestling first time around) so a can of Pepsi A.M. to him - hopefully it kept as well as Homer's Billy Beer.
I like to think Taker was in the middle of a podcast. “Hold on a sec- gotta go clean the yard.” Teleports to Mania, takes out Rock, teleports back. “Sorry about that. Now where were we?”
Adrenaliiine In my soul, Rock shut your mouth and Know your role, Gonna get the people Off their feeeeeet, Time is here, Time is now, Gotta lay the smacketh down, Lights go down The Taker’s come, your doooone WOOOHOOOOOHOOO!
I've been watching you guys for damn near a decade and I still cant believe the insane jump in the quality of the videos you guys put out. Good job boys! That said: Rollins was the MVP of Mania XL by a mile imo...dude could barely even climb into the ring during the main event.
1:09:15 Until this Moment, I NEVER would have thought of Reigns Revenge moment when the Sheild ended. Its PERFECT. The ONLY change i would have wanted was Michael Cole pointing out after the match during the Highlight reel that Reigns ONLY MISTAKE was being Greedy and getting revenge on Rollins OVER taking care of Cody Rhodes. That “easter egg” would have clicked and made even MORE SENSE to the average fan as to why Reigns did it.
add to this, out of all 31 title defenses... one was by DQ... Royal Rumble 2022 - Against Seth Rollins. What was Rollins wearing? SHIELD gear. How'd he win by DQ? Roman couldn't let go and wailed on him with a chair.
Yes, Undertaker showing up does make so much sense. JR used to refer to Taker as being "the conscience" of the company. Finally, after all this time, the conscience had enough of The Bloodline's shenanigans and decided to act. Brilliant stuff.
Plus it being at Mania, what was Taker's kingdom. Taker showing up was like karmic judgment against Rock's nonsense to restore order to what is supposed to be an honorable contest where the better man wins. And fittingly, with Roman involved, the person who was really Taker's last in-ring Mania opponent.
Even if it wasn’t perfect, I’ve rarely had more fun watching a night of wrestling. Whole weekend was a blast but hot damn the opening and closing matches Sunday night will be seared into my brain forever.

Sláinte brother hope ya enjoyed it! U mentioned it on twitter but I'd loooove to see some wrestling game Critiques, GameCube WWE especially needs love!
Overall two very fun good reviews and I am glad you covered this year's Mania. I got just a few small nitpicks. 1.In the interest of fairness I wish you talked about the CM Punk MMA hour interview. The last OSW AEW reviews you guys are understandably anti-Punk and he never does interviews so I think it would have been fair to present his side of the story of his fallout with AEW and then yall can opinionate on it and let the audience make their own conclusions on the CM Punk OSW mini-arc. 2. I wish there was more expansive deep dive on the main event of Night 2, like a how we got here. Too me it felt brushed over like your assuming the audience knows all the Cody Rhodes lore and his run as Stardust to founding AEW to leaving AEW and then how we got here. Just felt like we could have spent a little more time dissecting the build before the match. Also never discussing Cody wrestling in Hell in the Cell with a torn pec is the equivalent of never talking about the Austin 3:16 promo when discussing Stone Cold. Both events catapulting them into babyface stratopheres. 3. To piggyback on the last point, the lore of the Bayley vs Iyo match was way more expansive then just, Japanese girls being mean to Bayley. IMO it was the second best build outside of the Bloodline. This goes back to how dastardly Bayley used to be when her and Sasha kayfabe retired Kairi Sane. Then she forms Damage Control which is meant to keep Bayley at the top but eventually Iyo realizes Bayley has been holding her back and there was long term tension and it wasn't until Kairi Sane came back to poison Iyo's friendship with Bayley. I just felt like a lot of the review felt kinda rushed when normally older OSW reviews are very detailed and introspective. It was even played off as a joke when the Bobby Lashley and Kross match was 30 seconds of commentary and move on. Despite it all thank you for all the good work that you and the crew do and I look forward to Elden Ring OSW.
Appreciate the detailed feedback brother! Just to answer ya - we didn't cover much of Punk as I find him to be extremely obnoxious, and the general discussion around AEW/Punk to be so very abrasive and off-putting. By the time we finished the AEW videos we were done talking about him (and AEW PPVs) for a good while. Him getting injured before Mania was very much an "eh we can deal with him next time we cover WWE then". Cody/Iyo build-up, it's a fair point. I wasn't as taken with Bayley's build as you were and Cody I felt Night 1 covered it. I suppose we could've done a full career history but I felt we hit the major points during the previous episode, the matches or in post-match. As a side note, the podcast was recorded 10 minutes after Night 1 was finished, so it's a bit of a test of endurance talking for almost 6 hours! XL was an impromptu gigantic project while producing 3 other major videos. I'll give ya all I got and I hope it's good enough :) Anyoo thanks for the discerning response brah!
@@OSWto your credit as well; I greatly enjoyed that we reached the main event at only 45 minutes into this review! The quicker pace for this review made it so fun to watch. The Punk interview wasn’t directly related to Wrestlemania so I fully support eschewing it in order to keep the review rolling. You guys went into great detail on Cody’s story after the main event review as well. Great job
I remember watching OSW's hell in a cell 2014 or 1 of those 'modern' shows with maffew & distinctly recall seeing the dust brothers (gold & star) against some other tag team & thought to myself "wow, this stardust guy is amazing, shame his lisp etc is probably gonna hold him back from ever being in the main event picture" similar to OOC's "prove me wrong". A few months later he leaves to start AEW & after following his career (following not even watching wrestling for years) this whole time here we are. He's won the big one AT the big one. Love to see it. To say he deserves it is an understatement...

Im dying laughing at this episode already. Shame you don't think Priest cashing in was good Jay, personally thought it made the most sense and i even had him down to cash in even if Seth retained as the last person to cash in at Mania was Seth back in 2015.
Fan from Philadelphia! Keep on with the OSW Reviews! A couple notes: Seth Rollin's entrance = Philadelphia's Mummers Parade and The Rock/Stone Cold would've been the best case of long-term storytelling (25 years in the making) because they were the main event of the last Wrestlemania in Philadelphia (XV). Cheers!
The week b4 mania at house show I went to Drew did that putting the table back spot vs Cody during the entire match.. it was hysterical.. crowd loved it then Cody finally put him thru table
I agree with the idea that Bayley has been miscast for the past few years - she was an ok heel, but she's one of the best pure babyfaces out there, up with Sami Zayn. Bayley is like the female version of Sting to me.
Why is there only 2 songs EVER commonly played on bagpipes? All you ever hear is whatever that song is that Drew came out to and Amazing Grace. At least in America anyway. Is it like this elsewhere that bagpipes are played.
I love this review! The editing/pacing felt like we broke out of the template that the TNA reviews have been in. The shortest reigns digression was fun and interesting and the show continued at a steady pace throughout the review.
My favorite thing about the Dolph cash-in is when they pan out to the crowd shot after the 1-2-3, you can this one guy running up the steps in the nose bleeds. I don’t know if this him celebrating or if he really needed to go to the bathroom and couldn’t hold it in any longer 😂.
I think Rollins is doing a lot to redefine masculinity in pro-wrestling, and I'm honestly here for it. He keeps coming out with these colorful, camp entrances and costumes and it's fantastic! Drew's social media game has been absolutely incredible, but I'm not sure it CAN get better than that initial, "I prayed for this and it HAPPENED." It doesn't matter what happens next in the feud, that was an all-time line with an all-time delivery.
Shawn Michaels was a Male Stripper who graced the cover of Playgirl. He already did a lot to redefine masculinity in pro-wrestling. Also won't stand for Vito erasure 😂.
I can see that definitely, also coincidental with the Egyptian imagery in her entrance graphics seeing as you fought him in an Egyptian temple in Soul Calibur 2

@@OSW it's such a weird decision. they are constantly bragging about making ALL THE MONEY. they had every single product in the history of mankind paying to be on wrestlemania! i can't imagine stone cold wanted like a billion dollars for that spot. it's not like paying him would have suddenly made the show lose money. >_

1:08:44 This is when Jay thrives. When he does his run downs on a match. I haven’t watched WWE in over 5 years(not AEW related) and it felt like I never missed any of the story of this match. In my opinion, no one does it better. It’s perfection.
Logan retaining makes complete sense because if he's going to lose the belt he has to lose it to a top baby face clean 1 on 1 (LA Knight)
Also if your goal is to bring young fans into wrestling why would the guy you're using to do that lose on the show that draws the most casual fans of any show in the wrestling business?
‼️ mark
It's also probably in his contract to have a title run that lasts X amount of days ....
Well well well. That happened in Cleveland, in front of a go-away heat crowd literally 35 minutes from Logan's hometown.
I think that story of Arnold pranking Jessie was on the DVD specials of "Predator". Great stuff. The amount of testosterone floating around whilst shooting this movie must've been enormous.
Baby oil stocks were through the roof during the 80s-90s action move era.
I always imagined that any female that showed up to the predator set was immediately impregnated by osmosis via the thickness of testerone in the air 😂
Yeah, it was on the special features
@@Intheknow12 Good times.
Seth Rollins' entrance partners were Philly icons the Mummers. Yes, Mummers, as in "of the same tradition as the subject of a Loreena McKennitt song."
Party atmosphere is kinda their thing; they were a part of the Philadelphia Eagles' Super Bowl victory parade some years ago as well. They also have a big parade in the city as well, including the band shown here. And yes, they do dress like Elton John from the '70s all the time.
Cole is so much better without Vince in his ear. Seeing him actively enjoy the show makes it more enjoyable for the viewers.
Imagine the stress levels and anxiety of having your boss literally in your ear/head for decades. Frosted tips Cole will forever be a boy in my stable but we should finally acknowledge the voice talent and creativity of current untethered Michael Cole.
And the fact Cole is able to express himself freely also really adds to the some of the wrestler's personalities and characters, like his absolute blind seething rage he has for Dirty Dom, I'm convinced if given the chance, Cole would throw hands with Dom
Just me who thinks he's still awful if not worse, just giving out to Roman all night like a bitter fanboy crybaby.
Michael Cold will never know his role. Needs to be put in place every 10 min or so
Cole can be a fantastic commentator when you just let him go and do his thing. I first realized this when he called the Mae Young Classic years back.
Fun fact: The Duchess was WWE Warrior Award recipient Sue Aitchison
27:49 “You made me swallow my gum.”
“It’s gonna be in my digestive tract FOR 7 YEARS!!”
Love it :)
That Zombie Thirteen Roman cover with the run down of his title reign was so good.
Dude made an absolute banger! Made our main event package feel so much bigger! We only had a snippet on the vid but if u wanna hear the full song ruclips.net/video/VHCxcYA-7fc/видео.html ☝️
Plot twist: People did actually pay to see Drew defend the WCPW world championship, which was booked by the Cultaholic lads xD
Fun bit: A wrestler I train with got to be one of the sword-wielding extras for Drew's big entrance!
Which one? And where can we view/support your friend?
@Intheknow12 I don't think you can see him in this video, so I'd have to scour the original footage to spot him and point him out.
@@JackgarPrime are there any shows/matches online we can watch? In fact, I should be asking about yourself as well!
Hats off to V1 for carrying this review on his back.
Jay was really off his game in this one I thought. Weird episode
The subtle, unstated cut to Frank Langella as Skeletor at 49:56 is pure gold.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought for a second Mox was showing up.
I knew there was no chance, but for just a second, I thought "If they were ever going to do it, it would be now."
My dumbass thought it was gonna be Roman
@@antichaos I would have been very impressed.
@@antichaos no, but like. How insane would that have been!
Pepsi (before the era of the energy drink) once sold a more highly-caffeinated version of standard Pepsi and marketed it as a, "breakfast soda."
...umm... do with that information what you will.
Props to admitting being wrong about Cody losing last year. I’ll admit I thought the same and I’m glad WWE proved me wrong.
Sunday, big meal and a NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWW OSW episode. Feels right and nice. Thanks, Fellas!
I try to watch ASAP, before it may(or may not get taken down) loved it. Keep up the great work.
I love how the editor perfectly timed the footage to Matt's 'YEAH!' when talking about Drew and LA Knight.
I like to think Taker was in the middle of a podcast.
“Hold on a sec- gotta go clean the yard.”
Teleports to Mania, takes out Rock, teleports back.
“Sorry about that. Now where were we?”
Diddnt expect Jay to pull out an Alister Thorne quote nearly 5 years after Game Of Thrones ended. But then again our watch doesn’t end until we die.
Adrenaliiine
In my soul,
Rock shut your mouth and
Know your role,
Gonna get the people
Off their feeeeeet,
Time is here,
Time is now,
Gotta lay the smacketh down,

The Taker’s come, your doooone
WOOOHOOOOOHOOO!
Ha ha, this is brilliant. Had to sing it to test it obvs
I've been watching you guys for damn near a decade and I still cant believe the insane jump in the quality of the videos you guys put out.
Good job boys!
That said: Rollins was the MVP of Mania XL by a mile imo...dude could barely even climb into the ring during the main event.
As someone who was in the building night 2, I can confirm everyone was shocked and worked into a frenzy when Takers dong hit us in the face.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. I hope you liked it and don't give out too hard on undertaker showing up.
'holy christ' is an amazing call
Crazy how this happened just a few months ago and it's still the best main event I've ever witnessed. Good job on the review, lads❤
Hoping for more Black Adder 😊 So thankfull you guys are puting so much work into this
"Who's the Final Boss now? Boss Man."
What a way to spend my Sunday morning. Thank you OSW.
Happy fookin birthday to ya, lad! Loving this show more everyday.
The Sparky Plugg LA Knight entrance had me in tears 😂😂😂😂 - great video guys, brilliant having Matt as a guest also.
Not to mention the “just a dude” Taker is a proud Texan which is where Dusty first made his name
Even if it wasn’t perfect, I’ve rarely had more fun watching a night of wrestling. Whole weekend was a blast but hot damn the opening and closing matches Sunday night will be seared into my brain forever.
awesome review as always. Gotta say the French crowd was the best of all time. The Attitude era crowds where crazy with all the stuff thrown around and the signs, but being THIS dedicated and committed and vocal, while being so disciplined thats just a whole other level.
I gotta say I really love that small rock cena montage, that was beautiful
Great stuff, as always.
Honestly, both Night 1 & 2 together are my show of the year so far. So much fun to watch.
Get in!! Can't tell you how desperate I've been to see part 2. Nice one lads! OSW 4 LYF!
Huzzah! We're back for Night 2... I can't wait lads
Matt: “They’re okay with Four Loko in America…”
Me: *drinking a Four Loko watching this review* 😳
That's capitalism for ya!
Growing up on Matt's content in the SBF play and the podcast they did funnily enough lead me to OSW back in the day. So I'm always buzzing to see Matt pop up love you guys
I liked the editing in this one I'm not sure if you did anything different but it really stood out to to me this time
Thanks brother, it's probably the fantastic NiesTimes!
Man......I LOVE OSW Patreon!!! Thank you so so so so much!!! That Mania was soooooooo awesome!! Thank you Thank you Thank you guys!!!
Jay - a winner is YOU 👍🏆🥇💰
The original Four Lokos in America were different. If you drank 2 you'd be legless, to borrow a term from our Irish pals. At some point, there was legislation to change the formula and make it less intoxicating. Original Fours were something different though. And figured my Jesse impression was too low pitched and more conspiracy theory Jesse. RIP me LUL
17:03 Honestly one of my favorite moments in wrestling ever. Felt like this was a moment where someone flew too close to the sun and almost but DIDN’T get burnt. Felt like a hungry hyena going after the tired lion while the pack watched.

1:00:45 Matt with the Canadian talking head from South Park was such a good choice
51:47 for a split second I thought the screen was saying "Duchess of Queensbury: Roman Reigns" and I laughed 😂
I've been following Zombie Thirteen since last time you featured him. So good.
I love Matt McMuscles. It will never be the same show when OoC is gone, but Matt is solid in his stead.
"Mizzard of Oz", holy cow lmao! now i need Miz's next actor joke to be about almost landing a role on Broadway for Wicked a la Ruff Ruff Ref
Bayley's selling of the knee was so good that watching it live I genuinely thought she'd got hurt for real and they were wrestling the rest of the match on the fly.
The editing and production of these reviews are so polished that I forget it’s just a couple of lads from Ireland. Which is why I always chuckle when I hear you guys say “Meek Mill, I don’t know who that is, Ishowspeed, I don’t know who that is, Yeet?! I don’t know what that means.” It comes across as very Art Donovan “How much does this guy weigh” 😂
What a reference
@@zachburhans7615 Thanks haha. Hearing Jay and V1 ask so many questions gave me flashbacks to King of the ring ‘94!
Just rewatched that episode last night lolol

Saying that art Donovan actually had some talent at something 😂
Thank ya kindly, Jay!
I suppose we could've done a full career history but
I felt we hit the major points during the previous episode, the matches or in post-match.
As a side note, the podcast was recorded 10 minutes after Night 1 was finished, so it's a bit of a test of endurance talking for almost 6 hours! XL was an impromptu gigantic project while producing 3 other major videos. I'll give ya all I got and I hope it's good enough :)
Anyoo thanks for the discerning response brah!
I am 100% one of those Tenacious D fans in the comments!
Are we getting older or are we becoming fewer in numbers as Tenacious D-listers?? I refuse to believe Tenacious D not heavily involved in the pop culture pantheon.
@@Intheknow12 Maybe both. Post Pick of Destiny I feel like Tenacious D isn't as hot as it was. Plus Jack Black and Kyle ain't doing cameos in shows and movies anymore
@@Kalilalex fair summary! We’re clearly in the bubble of invested fandom and even with Black’s strong social media/game streaming/vlogging presence, it’s more fans of him and not the band.

A couple notes:
Seth Rollin's entrance = Philadelphia's Mummers Parade and The Rock/Stone Cold would've been the best case of long-term storytelling (25 years in the making) because they were the main event of the last Wrestlemania in Philadelphia (XV).
Cheers!
52:12 "If we were the last three humans on Earth, I'd be trying to start a family with Baldrick."
The mummers are a Philadelphia institution every New Year’s Day.
The week b4 mania at house show I went to Drew did that putting the table back spot vs Cody during the entire match.. it was hysterical.. crowd loved it then Cody finally put him thru table
The greatest album to never come out. WHAT BAR$
Can of coke to you sir. But we would need a self professed wrestling fan/rapper. I can envision Action Bronson or maybe Open Mike Eagle.
Our (Port Vale) half time song is Triple H's the game theme. I mark out every time!
Man that edit on "Finish... The... Story" with the photos of Cody through the years, incredible. Really brings the gravity of the win full circle.
Thank you lads, an epic two nights, an epic two episodes!
Drew's social media game has been absolutely incredible, but I'm not sure it CAN get better than that initial, "I prayed for this and it HAPPENED."
It doesn't matter what happens next in the feud, that was an all-time line with an all-time delivery.
Shawn Michaels was a Male Stripper who graced the cover of Playgirl. He already did a lot to redefine masculinity in pro-wrestling. Also won't stand for Vito erasure 😂.
Love the animated segment with OOC sadly peering through the window
I was hoping OOC would show up for a modern day WWE, but i forgot his part-time contract
And the checks from Tony Khan. 😂
I only have one question from wrestlemania... WHAT BAR IS BOBBO? He is Shenanigans bar in Liverpool
Bayley's entrance gear reminds me kind of Nightmare from Soul Calibur
I can see that definitely, also coincidental with the Egyptian imagery in her entrance graphics seeing as you fought him in an Egyptian temple in Soul Calibur 2
The pop DZ got when he cashed in the night after Mania remains one of, if not my favorite crowd pop of all time.
We need ooc back,he is like Charles Barkley of inside the nba, crisp opinions of him makes review exciting
undertaker coming out to confront rock instead of stone cold DESTROYED ME. imagine the pop if the glass breaks in that moment. WWE not doing everything they possibly could do make that happen was such a missed opportunity. i don't know how taker works better. stone cold was the rock's biggest EVERYTHING for his entire career! as a whole the main event was perfect. it's what a WRESTLEMANIA main event should be. we don't watch mania for a technical wrasslin' masterpiece. we watch it to be sports entertaining and they nailed it. one of the best mania main events of all time that MIGHT have been the best ever if stone cold was there instead of taker.
It's like, WWE: We'll give you _some_ of our Saudi money! But no more!
gotta say...i don't care what logan has done. he's a GREAT professional wrassler and i'm all in to see him do it every week (yanno if i actively watched WWE). like it's insane how he's taken to it. just instantly GOT IT.
