@darylturcott yes the gun company, back in the early 90s they manufactured a low end model for Walmart at a very cheap price buy cutting quality. My gun dealer couldn't beat their price and looked into why? At the same time carquest auto parts were doing the same thing with Mexico made U joints for drive shafts. I was a GM dealership service employee at that time.
mine has 96 compression with only 10 hrs on it. Someone posted the same thing on another vid of this tiller. that maybe the carb was set too lean from the factory.
Disposable rototiller like Disposable cars like Ford escorts,chevy cavalier, corsica. I'm gonna tear mine down and take specs and try weisco pistons. The wrist pin is crucial, but 2 strokes always wear out.new rings will do the trick since engine not seized.but I may be dreaming about finding piston rings that small.
Not what I wanted to hear but did you try weisco pistons for specs and piston rod size?
I did not. It was an inexpensive unit and the owner did not want to put money into it. He ended up buying a Honda.

I have a Powermate 150cc pfft 142 1. I've used it three times and now the damn thing won't start I've done everything possible. It's going to the dump
Sorry to hear that. If you are in se Michigan i can have a look, but i have not had good outcomes with these.

Quite possibly. It's a nice looking machine. The gears and tines seem well made but I'm not impressed with the engine.

Cord won’t pull
2 common issues. Recoil spring breaks, or cylinder walls get scorched
It is frozen, won’t move ,not even a little.
It’s like new
I hate to say it, but i dont think it will be worth fixing. Im not sure that you can even get the parts.
