I read many comments saying it's slow and convert to electric. Often, with the bigger RC boats, it's not about breaking speed records, it's the great looking scale race boat drivetrain and the scale behavior of the boat on the water. I think that I would try to mount a small camera on the boat and drive it FPV style with goggles.
nice boat,nice hardware on back.I have a 46" deep V hull with BH hanson 22.5 zenoha/tuned pipe ,etc.Ive clocked it at 54 MPH! its hard to keep on the water! any chop WFO = flip lol your boat is much more stable.

Nice looking boat. But a brushless conversion will make you way more happy. No smoke. No annoying sound and way more speed. Would be interesting to have a GPS on it. My Joysway Rocket 26 brushless on 4S runs almost 80km/h. Not sure if this big gaser is even faster... Enjoy it anyways😃
I have a 6s sonicwake it's a quick boat but I had just bought my first gas boat 54" fountain still in breakin phase but I love it sounds awesome. I'll use the sonic for a recovery boat if needed

I also have a 47” with a 32cc and it’s less stable in water with chop, this yellow boat handles great because of its size and weight

Seems like the prop is to big. Or the carb needs to be leaned out some.
That's a big boat! I'm sure with some carb tuning and trim tab adjustments it will rip.

This looks like 60-70kph tops, i went from gas to brushless in the 90s and never looked back
