I started watching the "beauty guru" videos last summer for tips on applying eyeshadow and ended up subscribing to a few. Several of them - usually those with a bigger following - do these HUGE HAULS. I didn't realize until I watched this how much it was making me feel inadequate. Just found your channel and went on a bit of a RUclips spiral with your videos. Your videos are so on point! As everyone says, they're extremely informative, easy to understand, and your voice is so calming. Also, I find it very cool that you're living in the Netherlands. I'm from eastern Canada but I did a semester in Den Haag; Holland is a beautiful country!

Thank you for bringing up the RUclips “haul” videos. I used to be addicted to them. Your channel has helped me to break the cycle of watching them. Thank you!!!
Found your channel like an hour back and am already in love with your channel. All your videos tend to spread a lot of positivity and I have a feeling that you are gonna be so huge in RUclips one day if you continue to make videos like this. I wish you all the luck and lots of love from India :)
You are absolutely the most graceful person on RUclips. And your first tip to unsubscribe to channels that actually do hauls and reviews was something that got me thinking. I almost always end up buying makeup or clothes that I didn't even need when I see review videos. And your tip works on so many levels, because RUclips makes video suggestions based on what you search or most often view. So for example if your watching a haul or review you are automatically suggested millions of similar videos. And you are subconsciously prompted towards products that you watched in reviews even in your browser and other social media ads. It's such a vicious cycle. Thank you so much.

I love these tipps! They add to my already saving money lifestyle. I'm firm with my weekly budget, trying really hard to only spend 50€ a week. And since starting I save hundreds of euros a month. And I don't intend to stop! Long live minimalism!

When you are older, like me, and live alone it is hard to find people to share meals with. It feels lonely to cook for myself and eat alone, so I end up going out to eat way too often.
You know Karen, this is something I've heard before. It seems a value that is more important to you is being able to see people and socialize, and if that means you have to eat out a little more often then so be it. Sometimes we give a little to get a little in other areas of our lives. A personal story: my parents just got divorced and for the first time in over 40 years they too are eating their meals alone. They told me it was hard, and I know it still is at times. But one thing my mom did and found helpful was she joined some hiking groups using a site called MeetUp. Here she met some lovely women her age and gradually began inviting them over every once in a while for meals, and they would do the same. It's not perfect, but it's something. Not sure if this helps, but hope it provides some consolation. Wishing you all the best in health and wellness, and with love from the Netherlands
Karen Jensen Planning to eat with friends, family and neighbours help. May I recommend to make a pizza party (Everyone bringes their favourite toppings and You end up with some Odd combinations) I know that a lot of unions eat together. Just wanted to add as well that you are a real source of inspiration for me. Thank you for what you are doing. And God bless you.
I'd like to say I'm blessed by having found your channel!!!! thank you for all the great advice! keep doing what you're doing-- love the content, layout, theme song.. everything!
'Don't shop when you're hungry' that's actually my kryptonite... I studied my expenses years ago and found out all my money went to snacks :[ . I resolved to eat more at breakfast so that I don't get hungry between meals.
Your videos are so helpful. I’m trying to make changes in life and eating habits. Some of the things are so true. When I go grocery I buy so many things which I don’t think I need it.
"Cut your own hair" - I did, soon after the COVID lockdown, taking the opportunity since, even if if I don't do a good job, in two months no-one should be able to notice, and while I sit at home, no-one will see me either :P ... apparently, it still looks uneven, even after two months. Oh well. I used to ask my family to cut my hair, telling them that it'll be cheaper than going to the hairdresser, and I don't need anything fancy anyway. And that I'd do it myself, but not being able to see the back of my own head, while combined with the fact that doing it myself is just awkward due to operating my hands behind my own head, so ANYONE BUT ME, would do the job better. But no, they'd tell me to go to the hairdresser :/ And I used to comply, because doing it myself seemed like the worst option. But now, thanks to the lockdown, I could finally try it without too many repercussions xD
This is by far the best channel I've found so far. Your calming presence has made me listen to you instead of zoning out like I do with other channels. I look forward to watching more of your videos!- J from CA
I'm new to plant-based foods and I find your channel super inspirational and makes a lot of sense! Thank you for all the yummy-looking recipes and great advices on both food-related topics and lifestyle. Looking forward to more videos from you! Ps. You look stunning and are funny as well.
"I can't afford this" isn't this a statement of lack when it comes to the principle of *like attracts like* ? Maybe we gotta try saying "I am fine without this material" sounding good enough.
This one got to me more in a way of being honest with others when for example your friends ask you to go out to eat and do four other expensive activities in a week. Then, just saying I'm sorry I can't afford it but we could do this and this can save a lot of money and also doesn't end up in weird excuses 😊
"No spend day"?!? I mean, the day after pay day is the begining of my "No spend month", because I already have no money to spend! 🤣 Just kidding, great video and super useful tips! 😄
Thank you for adding great visuals to your videos rather than just talking to us. Your videos are more like a "show" with great visuals while others just talk to us and I end up skipping their videos halfway through. Great tips!!!
I used to go to a lending library where i lived before, but the place i moved to 2/3 years ago doesn't have a lending library culture somehow (i don't know how) so i usually visit annual book fairs where you get either second hand (used) books or older edition books at a lower rate...
Great video! Thanks for the tips, subbed. One thing I would suggest is to check all your light bulbs and change any that aren't Led or economical. It makes a ton of difference.
I love it that I started to watch your video's today, and now I find out that you live in the Netherlands too. I am a student and I needed your productivity video's to get the good things and motivation flowing haha! Thank you!
I live in the US and when I try to shop in bulk I go to Mom''s organic market (other grocery stores around me don't sell in bulk). It is actually super expensive! I paid more for a cup of lentils at Mom's than for a big bag at Safeway
Another thing is to take care of your teeth. Best investment as you won’t be spending money on the dentist when it could have been easily avoided by just brushing your teeth more often. It can be expensive! The better your teeth, the more money you will save. However my teeth are really crooked so I qualified to get my braces for free.
Love the content quality of your channel! A lot of great information without all the extra utube stars in their eyes needing to talk about themselves nonsense! Keep doing what you are doing!
thanks much for sharing these things love . ive just started jumping into your channel and its been amazing watching your content. Much needed . Sending tons and tons of health , love , lights and happiness straight your way to you and yours. love from India .

As a dutch person... this is almost like watching the habits i learned from my parents because dutch people are almost always looking foe ways to save their money 😅
Exactly, I am from Czech Republic but we also learn these thing from our parents. Painting walls, doing floor and even furniture by ourselves? Totally normal! :D
I dont think it’s a nationality thing. Its a responsible thing. 😅
@@lilithnox5955 might be, but most countries in Europe think the Dutch are greedy. And our country is all about saving... it's put onto us from the prime minister long ago
No more Dream well i am european and it’s the same where i am from
@@lilithnox5955 funny that that also changes. In most countries i've been (I'm missing out on Letland), they have the same main stereotype
I literally watched that little dance of yours 6 times. 😂
I watched it three times 😃
Found your channel because of the minimalist clean habits and love the simplistic and effective information you give :) subscribed and hoping to keep learning!
Thank you, Leandro! Hope to keep making videos you enjoy :)
Love ‘no spending days’ idea 💡
today we had an english class test (im german) on nutrishion and had to write an article where we had to motivate other to be more healthy and i used quite some tips from ypur Chanel so thx for that 😂😂
love the rich content. girl got moves. still loving the earlier videos. simple, honest, empowering, execution perfection, short and oh so sweet.
When she says "I'm saadia"I feel so much proud of her because am also saadia😍😍😍
My husband and I have done these tips and we live debt free. It's given us such freedom with our boys.
you're soo cute !! when the thrift shop jam played 😂😂😂
and I don't know what thrift shop means 🙄
Just found your video, and I subscribed, because recently I have been living minimal and trying to declutter. I am also from a Dutch speaking country, called Suriname, and it is so cool that I found this channel. I also followed you on instagram. Things I need to do: food prep, managing my money and living in an environment I am Happy.
My grandad always gave me a banana in the car when I was little and went shopping with him. He also had one himself bc he firmly believed that one should never shop for groceries hungry ❤
I somehow just found your channel and I gotta say you really give out this sort of vibe that encourages people to do the things you're doing! Love the videos! Love you !
When you said, “ we shop when we’re bored, you know what I mean” my soul felt that!!! 😩😂
Talking about newsletter subscriptions, I had this sort of war flashback about when a year or two ago in the fall, when I was still in highschool, I got across Tai Lopez and watched his videos etc because I was interested in economy and enterpreneurship, and I was thinking stressfully, "should i want all that stuff?" and knowing that I could never be rich nor sell estates. And it made me quite miserable, so I blocked him, and deleted all of his messages, and that felt good. Now, at 20, I found these minimalism videos, and it feels quite much as if I've found my people. I can be at peace now. Money can buy you a lot of things, but materia is not the best thing. Trips with friends and family, hobbies, investing in your dreams, and charity are much better. :) I'm glad that there are many others who feel the same way.
0:25 Came back just to watch this 😄 love it Sadia!! Your channel is only 1 year old and you are SO polished but this was a nice look into your silly side 🇨🇦
Just wanted to add as well that you are a real source of inspiration for me. Thank you for what you are doing. And God bless you.
I'd like to say I'm blessed by having found your channel!!!! thank you for all the great advice! keep doing what you're doing-- love the content, layout, theme song.. everything!
Came across ur channel Juz few days ago... Liked all ur videos... Ur voice s so mesmerizing, energetic so and so... U r truly an inspiration....
Totally agree with every single tip in here esp I live in NYC!!
Hello NYC! Thanks for the up-lifting comment, Jing ♡
Please don't ever stop making videos! Love everything you post! You're my role model 😍
"Cut your own hair"
Me: well that wasn't a problem to begin with. i don't cut my hair. it appears i am a money-saving genius.
This video just taught me that Sadia is indeed human. The money part threw me off so much but after the shock came laughter and then enlightenment.
I rewind the little dance like 5 times!!! So freaking cute! 💕
You're real gift to the society, keep up the good work Sadia.
"Cut your own hair" - I did, soon after the COVID lockdown, taking the opportunity since, even if if I don't do a good job, in two months no-one should be able to notice, and while I sit at home, no-one will see me either :P
... apparently, it still looks uneven, even after two months.
2:05 that dance ...
Priya Srinath I say I’m fine without this material after I check the price tag 😂
@@kristine7893 good choice mate! 😂
I always say, “they got that” or “they can keep it” 😭
This one got to me more in a way of being honest with others when for example your friends ask you to go out to eat and do four other expensive activities in a week. Then, just saying I'm sorry I can't afford it but we could do this and this can save a lot of money and also doesn't end up in weird excuses 😊
I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! You will never come out of the hole if you keep saying that!
Great tip on no spending days. Awesome that you bike instead of drive. I also use public transit when I can. Great video
Such a perfect channel....it's soooo addictive !!!!😀
I don't know why but you always put me in a good mood when I watch your videos :)
"No spend day"?!? I mean, the day after pay day is the begining of my "No spend month", because I already have no money to spend! 🤣 Just kidding, great video and super useful tips! 😄
LMAO
Love the way to talk..gentle and calming
My likes are precious but I'd give extra one for that little dance...
Thank you for adding great visuals to your videos rather than just talking to us. Your videos are more like a "show" with great visuals while others just talk to us and I end up skipping their videos halfway through. Great tips!!!
“Don’t buy books”
It’s easy to save on everything but books 😂😂😂
I have pdf drive application it's very easy.
@@withannaelle1708 yes its easy and less expensive or free But its hurt my eyes and sometimes Can't focus .. This is the problem
I used to go to a lending library where i lived before, but the place i moved to 2/3 years ago doesn't have a lending library culture somehow (i don't know how) so i usually visit annual book fairs where you get either second hand (used) books or older edition books at a lower rate...
I need my books😂
Buy them used 👍🏻
Great video! Thanks for the tips, subbed. One thing I would suggest is to check all your light bulbs and change any that aren't Led or economical. It makes a ton of difference.
Okay. You lip-synching was officially my favorite thing ever.
I love it that I started to watch your video's today, and now I find out that you live in the Netherlands too. I am a student and I needed your productivity video's to get the good things and motivation flowing haha! Thank you!
The importance of knowing the difference between want and need is invaluable
I love your style, natural and elegant love it!!!
So so thankful RUclips recommended this to me 😍 you're the cutest inspiration ever😍
One of the most useful videos that I have not seen in a long time in RUclips... Keep going girl...
Whenever I see your face or heard your voice, I feel that life is so beautiful!
Full of information n lots of love.... love to watch again n again n again
I am in totally love with your reaction at Thrift shop :D
I live in the US and when I try to shop in bulk I go to Mom''s organic market (other grocery stores around me don't sell in bulk). It is actually super expensive! I paid more for a cup of lentils at Mom's than for a big bag at Safeway
Another thing is to take care of your teeth. Best investment as you won’t be spending money on the dentist when it could have been easily avoided by just brushing your teeth more often. It can be expensive! The better your teeth, the more money you will save.
However my teeth are really crooked so I qualified to get my braces for free.
Wow! I am a BC resident living in Vancouver. I love your videos. Thank you for all the tips!
Currently cutting my whole hair while listening to you talk
Haha
Love the content quality of your channel! A lot of great information without all the extra utube stars in their eyes needing to talk about themselves nonsense! Keep doing what you are doing!
the dance! omg! i feel like dancing as well. i love the way you smile.
thanks much for sharing these things love . ive just started jumping into your channel and its been amazing watching your content. Much needed . Sending tons and tons of health , love , lights and happiness straight your way to you and yours. love from India .
2:06 why is this the cutest thing in the whole entire world?
A lot of libraries (at least here in the US) allows you to check out e-books. It's great if you don't have the time or energy to go to the library.
1st time to follow your video, love your face, your voice
"By waiting you may find that you don't actually need it" very important point!!!
Hey, I just got to know you channel and feel really inspired - thank you! How do you trim your hair? Could you link one of the Videos that helped you to learn how to do it? I am super scared to cut my on hair. Looking forward to see more Videos from you. Keep it up and Good Luck! Many warm greetings from Spain.
