I ran 2 zips and laydown superkart a freond of mine made. That chassis looks judy great to me. If it's fast enough to scare the he'll out of you that's plenty fine! I went so fast with my TZ 250s I still can't believe it. I wad also good at converting Yamaha RD 250s into TZ spec engines. I liked the gear spacing on the RD based motors a bit better. Those RDs ate just about the greatest engines ever made!

I'd say that's more along the lines of $1000-$1500 max. The older CRG Road Rebels bring about $2000-$2500...around here in Florida where they run these on the road for fun now. The marketplaces are filled with stuff like this. Also, eBay has tons of shifter parts so there will always be a place to get what you need for now.

Thanks for watching. The idea is to set expectations of used older karts vs newer karts. In the near future, we will have a breakdown of a new Trackmagic kart strapped with a Daytona 190cc 4 stroke shifter.

Hello, quick question please, which main jet did you use to drive with free admission? Thank you

    • @NorcalKarters
      @NorcalKarters  8 месяцев назад +1

With a Keihin PWM or Pwk 38mm, using only 110 octane race fuel.
      170-185 main jet
      52-58 pilot jet
      DGJ needle
These are only ballpark because there are so many other variables

@@NorcalKarters thank you very much for the answer, one thing I can tell you, 125 yz engine (2005-2021) with open air carburetor
      -jet 430 (stand) dead piston/cylinder
      -jet 470 dead piston/cylinder
(for the two not even 150 meters of operation, the mixture is too poor)
I'm going to go with the biggest one from Mikuni (720) and see
I have reassembled hundreds of Yam engines in motocross without any problems for 15 years, I know it by heart and everything is called into question with a free admission assembly :)
      -Europe (France) gasoline: sp98

@@scummybraap518 Mikuni metering jets are way different numbers. I don't have experience with the TM or TMX with a 125cc application. Also, fuel to oil we use 24:1 - 32:1 depending on build type

The fab work dosent scare me what so ever. It's just that some stuff is crazy priced. And as soon as the new kind comes out it loses so much value.

What size front and rear sprockets are on it if you happen to know?

The gearing is going to change depending on your track. Typically, for a standard Sprint style kart track, 1.50 Ratio is a great starting point.
