- On today's show, we are joined by Brad Crawford of 24/7 Sports as we touch on a lot of the biggest storylines of the offseason for the SEC, including Oklahoma and Texas joining the conference, which coaches are most on the hot seat heading into 2024, Kalen DeBoer replacing Nick Saban, and dealing with the expanded playoff this year.
Also, we touch on Brad's article on 24/7 ranking all 16 SEC Quarterbacks Post-Spring, and kick around where he has many of those names ranked and which ones have gotten the most feedback. Also, did Hugh Freeze make a mistake sticking with Payton Thorne as his QB this season?
In addition, we go Around The Conference as Florida football adds CB Cormani McClain, Brian Kelly and LSU add a defensive lineman in Jay'viar Suggs from Grand Valley State, could LSU play a future game in Ireland?, Ryan McGee of ESPN lists five names from the SEC he thinks can compete for the Heisman this season, and we get a release date for the return of EA Sports' College Football 25 video game.

I love the national/conference disrespect for Jackson Arnold. I can't wait to see him step up and silence that.
Props to Oklahoma fans, I've been seeing them everywhere when discussing SEC football. They are going to fit right in but that begs a question. Where the hell is the Texas fans?
Everywhere
Jackson Arnold will win the Heisman while at OU, I think he will at least make it in 2024 and win it in 2025! Elite talent with one of the best receiving groups in CFB Deion Burks is a beast… BOOMER!!!
lol
@@wizarddragon🤡
🤣
@@Mark-zx2bq🤡
Yeah burks and his 13.38 yard avg. Stuff legends are made of
Ewers wasn't even the best QB in the Big12 last year. He might not be the starter by the end of the season. Number 2 is crazy. I think Arnold at 10 is about right until he proves himself.
Kudos to Whichever team finishes 3rd in the SEC doesn’t play in the SEC championship. Gets an extra week of rest and recruiting and still gets into the playoff. Lol
So true
That will be Oklahoma
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef I feel like the late season matchup between Bama and Oklahoma might be for that third spot.
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef Short answer NO. Longer answer NO sir.
@@darnellrtr252 LSU will have something to say about it
Great content guys keep it up
I don’t see a non dual threat QB winning the heisman. Unless they go undefeated or 11-1. Because the average passing yards is 4 thousand. Well a dual threat QB will have around that plus 700 to 900 rushing yards an 8 or 9 rushing TDs
For yall to think Milroe will digress is beyond me. Milroe will win the heisman next year. The reason being is because of his work ethic.
That's a lie
@@ROUGHNECK75 he finished 6th last year as a first year starter. Now he has an offensive system that’s better for him.
This I agree with I think Milroe will win the Heisman. I think it’ll be Alabama number one Jawjaw number 2 and they will probably play in the championship in Oklahoma or Texas will be behind I don’t think it’ll be taxes because they have a whole lot of missing people, defensive lines gonna get stroked by Edwards in Michigan.
There’s not a single LSU fan that could find Ireland on the map. Not to mention, can you imagine how ridiculous it would be on an eight hour flight with a bunch of Cajuns? College football games in other countries would be much more achievable if they were in the same relative time zone, like Mexico City or Montreal.
Without automatic bids, the same 20 teams will be in the running for the play off every year. The have nots have to have a chance too.
I got Ewers ahead of Carson Beck because Ewers is a threat to run.
He had 75 rushing yards last year. He’s hardly a threat. He’s overall pretty mediocre. Dropped some incredible dimes against Bama and at times through the season, but his overall QB skill set and effectiveness is mediocre. He should be ranked maybe 8 or so on this list.
@@dgraham031588 🤣🤡
🤣 Beck isn’t as good as people think
He over threw his open 5’9 Rb in practice
And Quinn is Not a threat to run the guy had like 70 some odd yards. He’s also injured prone and he’s also extremely inconsistent in the red zone. He likes to throw interceptions. The dude is a media hyperbolic joke.
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef 🤡
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef yawn
You guys are way too low on Nuss. He will contend for post season QB honors.
That I will agree with..
If you have a couple of Chase type wide receivers, I haven’t looked at who you guys still have some really good guys and if you have like maybe six or eight shoot out games where you have to win 52 to 49 then yes he will contend because he’ll throw the ball for like 3000 yards
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef You saw those 2 1st round WRs LSU just lost. They were both in that great '21 LA high school WR class. Neither was ranked #1 in state. That was Chris Hilton. He's finally 100% healthy. Ran with the 1s all spring. Dominated. Lacy was the #3 WR last year, led the team in avg yds per reception18.6. Picked up a 1,000 yard receiver with double digit TDs. Another receiver than led MS State in receptions. Aaron Anderson was the #1 LA WR in the '22 class. Tigers will never lack for WRs. Bringing in some serious speed at the position in the '24 class. Potential 4X100 LSU relay team.
Nuss will be closer to 3,500 than 3,000 yards. That bowl game was just a glimpse of LSUs passing potential.
@@user-xp6qd4sk1j Oh I know they’re gonna look like Texas Tech they’re going to score a lot of points but they won’t be able to stop anyone on the their opponents offense . They’re gonna get ran straight through and pass right over.
@@user-xp6qd4sk1j You just better hope he stays injury free all season because if he goes down then it’s gonna be you guys trying to win a 7 to 39 game at halftime..
Your quarterback would have to throw like Hawaii’s Brennan every down
@@JeromeStevens-qs8ef Most every team in college football would be in trouble if starting QB went down. Who's the sooners #2 QB? LSU backup QB has double digit SEC starts under his belt.
