I'm no fan of Lane Kiffin but he is probably one of the top offensive coaches in the country. I fully believe this team will outscore most teams. I think this team can contend for a playoff spot.
I have the Rebels at #8 in my post-season SISK POLL which is now in its 20th year anniversary. This team has been highly devalued by ESPN; agreed. I do not see how you could possibly rank Oklahoma ahead of Tennessee.
I like the BAMA hire. My biggest problem with the hire is that DeBoer is a geographical misfit. He does not know the area and will have to become familiar with the landscape and develop relationships with high school coaches. I do believe this man knows and can coach football. I also believe he has tremendous discipline.
Texas has to replace a 1st & 2nd rounder. CB are concern. Quinn Ewers back on offense & entire OL but all Wr& new TE. Yes got lot good WR out of portal but no chemistry. 🤘 but not drinking burnt orange Kool aid.
There is no way that Tennessee, Oklahoma, and yes, even Bama should be ahead of Missouri. Missouri has a better offense than all of them, and a comparable defense at worst than all of them. Missouri should be in that 5 to 7 spot, and the other 3 should be behind them. Mizzou might have the best offense in college football this coming season. And as far as Ole Miss goes, I agree with that spot, as they have built a team almost entirely out of the transfer portal, and in my opinion, is an experiment at best. There is no cohesiveness between the players. That's a good spot for them at THIS time.
You are definitely a homer! Missouri has its first win against UT in 3 years where the average loss was by 35 points and you truly believe that Mizzou is better 😂😂. Over the last 3 years UT QB'S average a 6 to 1 TD to INT average. The only reason Mizzou won last year is Joe Milton is not a runner. I do believe they should be higher than Ole Piss and Oklahoma.

Crazy how there are 43 bowl games, so 86 teams make a bowl, but teams in the top 50 FPI don’t get in. Heck, most don’t think Florida will get a bowl and they are #20.
I think Florida makes a bowl. Their schedule is brutal. I'm still scratching my head wondering why they hired Billy. I don't see much more than a winning record.

There offensive line will be below average. I think their QB is good but little experience. Defense will probably be top 5 in conference. I like Venables , but this is only year three. This conference is tough and you can expect injuries and attrition. These teams cannibalize one another. OU will win some games they're not favored to , and lose some they're picked to win.
Not sure who you were referring to, OU was ranked 8th in the FPI which is about 8 spots higher than most preseason rankings have them. That's what he was referring to. The host has been high on OU compared to a lot of the SEC shows.

I have a question that I have not been able to get anyone to attempt to answer. LaNorris Sellors looks like an absolute physical specimen. Some of the stuff he did at South Florence High was unbelievable. The small sample size last year was amazing. When people talk about him you assume NFL all American etc. He is compared in terms of the best QBs in the nation. My question is this. Why is he a 3 star rated 7th best player in SC and 34th rated QB nationally ? He also has no national player ranking. What am I missing? I am a lay person , not an expert; but this scenario I simply don't understand. I've asked many pundits and they either ignore the question or dance around it.

I think the whole program is over rated. Sark teams always have morbidly obese linemen, a general lack of self control and crappy defenses. He seems to be getting better. I don’t recall someone doing anything stupid and drawing an unsportsmanlike penalty at the worst possible time lately. I would take Deboer any day of the week over Sark.
