Right Islam is clear, it's not a relationship kind of thing like Christianity. It's submission to the will of Allah. That's why Islam is harder to reform.

There is a right way to be a Muslim and worship Allah. You can only pray how we're taught to. Islam is perfect, muslims are not perfect. Living a sinful life doesn't mean you're no longer Muslim. You're only job is to better yourself, same for everyone.

The basis of Islam is monotheism- to believe in the oneness of God. That is Islam. You can believe in monotheism and still sin. Good on these brothers for trying and visiting the holy city seeking forgiveness. It is such a beautiful and blessed experience

Big Zuu is exactly what the world needs. Who cares if he drinks once in a while. At the end of the day he is one of the nicest, kindest, intelligent human beings who makes a positive difference in people lives through food and music. That’s what makes a good person either secular or follows a particular philosophy / way of life. The Persian lady was so sweet, she said why pay all that money when you can do the same thing at home.

Only Prophets and Messengers are sinless - all the rest of us are sinners. But the best of them are those who repent . So doing haram doesn't make you a non-muslim . It just weakens you at that time. Then good deeds repair the damage.
