I like the idea of the Combine putting Mercenaries to work in areas they aren't willing to go themselves. Mercs also have the homefield advantage

Combine wouldn't hire mercs. They have the largest army in the world.
@@49mozzer In the beta there is a cut faction known as the conscripts, which are basically hired mercs for the combine.

The conscripts have neither of these
This concept of mercenary would look absolutely dope if it was tied with 1187 mod. The were pmc OMEGA, ex black operatives affilated with advisors and somehow preparing Earth for Combine invasion

Thinking about it the TF2 Mercs would either work with the Combine or work with the Resistance its 50/50 with those guys.

Medic would definetly work for combine because of 3D printed organs

I think this is your best work yet. I suggest you use the Enhanced Citizens Replacement addon so when you use citizens/refugees/rebels they have more variety between their appearances
It’s good but it doesn’t fit the realistic style of his videos but idk
I have multiple mods for citizen variation, just not used in this video.
@@skipfighter Plus if it's the enhanced citizens mod I am thinking of he is mentioning which I am sure it is, don't get me wrong great mod but I think it conflicts with scenic npcs and breaks it until removed or maybe placed in a different load order, that and any or reanimation mods will break scenic npcs as well I believe.
The good type of chaos where you know something is happening but the same time don't know its awesome.

These videos are really cool, it's just really irritating how the protagonists get shot so many times and take no damage while they shoot the enemies once and they instantly die

@@skipfighter make a video from the enemy prespective. You could make it when the character you are playing dies it changes perspective

ooh great idea, maybe like a group of rebels doing a hostile takeover on a combine controlled area and we'd get to see each of the rebels' perspectives before they end up dying

You should try the new Vmanip Grenade Launcher. You could use the Cold War grenade launcher in the intro as if you're preparing the vmanip one.

Any advice regarding how many mods should be present at once for best optimization? Any mods you know of that decrease performance too much to justify it? Curious about how you get such smooth performance in your realism video content and gameplay. I understand you also have a powerful pc. My pc is fairly powerful as well but the cpu is just at it's standard clocks no overclocking on anything. I have msi mode on in my computer. I have a bunch of gmod optimizations going on at this moment. Curious if you knew anything I don't as of yet which I am sure there's plenty. Useful performance boosting console commands that I haven't added to my config yet?
I've been improving my optimization and cleaning out excess and junk or performance reducing mods accordingly, ones broken or causing bugs etc.

2:30 how do you get those shots? The debug camera of MW base just reder the gun and player's arms only, not the whole body and you cant move

Only thing i can think of combine mercs being a thing is when after the fall of the combine in half life 2 and the world is left under no rule and is in a wasteland that is full of chaos with combine remnants still a thing and they hired mercs from the wastelands.
There is a few videos like that. War after the combine leave.

How in the world do you do this without lag? Whenever I use mods like these my game lags out bad when I kill an enemy. And I have a good graphics card too!
I don’t actually use that many mods. I constantly switch between the ones im using per video.
Also try putting “menu_cleanupgmas” on the console. It will do wonders removing any unwanted addons
