Please no horns on Teutonic Knights anymore. That's an unfortunate, completely a-historical trope that Medieval II Kingdoms cemented. Teutonic Knights did NOT have horns or other ornaments on their helmets. Just like for normal knights, these were completely non-functional and ornamental, fulfilled no purpose in battle except being heavy and unwieldy, which is why nobody had them on in battle. I was really glad when I saw in the mod's unit roster, that the Ritterbrüder were actually wearing accurate helmets (Bascinets in Tier 2 and Sallets in Tier 3) and not the nonsensical horned helmets from Medieval II.
@@kohank5938 Well true, but if they had glowing red eyes, they would also look cooler... but just not historical. Imho, I prefer the historical look over coolness. @Medival Kingsoms 1212ad, why Is there are duke of Bavaria but no Duke of Swabia ? The Swabians were as big and as respected as the bavarians, they even managed to bring up nearly 50% of all German kings ( in the Middle Ages ) the Staufer for example. It would be really cool to get another faction like that, since they were such a popular House in the Middle Ages...
a question about rebels in this mod . For example if i start as Hungary and have a rebellion in the north will the rebels be hungarian or slavic ? as a Slovak i need to know this
My name is Connor I'm the android sent by CyberLife If its historical accurate you will get hungarians or a mix of slavic people but definitly not slovaks... sorry bro slovaks are made of a mix of mountain slavs and hungarians. The annaleses first said abaut them in the 17-18 century
Bro the job is great! But there is one huge mistake: Teutonic Order is in wrong place. It should be nore on south-west: Prussia region on the east of Danzig. Furthermore, they should start with one province, because they weren't so big yet. But job is amazing, I will look for more!
Most of it look amazing, though I suggest make the Ghurid Sultanate guy have the HRE pose. If I'm not mistaken, the Ghurids were quite the bloodyhanded empire in real life, not nearly as genocidal as Timurids and the like, but just as brutal. I could be wrong though.
I bought attila to play this mod. There is alot of bugs they need to work on though. Some small examples, the siege ladders are twice as high as the walls, so when your troops climb the ladders, they fall down like 5m to the ground. Also the archer and specially crossbow mechanics is so fcked. Whenever your crossbowmen has fired, they stand ill for like 15 sek doing nothing. Then reload in 2 sek and fires again. They should make the firerate realistic and the dmg to armour less to compensate I think
@Svarog I live in Hungary, Rákosmente. In this region , there was a grand plain it was called Rákosmezeje. In the 13. century, the cumans has been dominated by the mongols, and the hungarian king allowed them to escape in the kingdom, from the mongols. They arrived Hungary, but they had problems with the peasants, because of their nomad lifestyle. So the Hungarian paesants executed Kutan, the king of the Cumans in Rákosmezeje, where i live right now. There, where he was killed, now there is a bus station, in the centre.
After his execute, the cumans left the country , and robbed it, murdered many civilian. After tge Mongol invasion, the king called them back and they settled down in the Kiskunság, and they got autonomy for a long time. The last native cuman speaker died in the 20. century. They were assimilated.
I think there is a glitch, which the first faction should have been the Abbasids, but it replicated the Marinid, but either way, great mod, will install it soon!
Novgorod Republic? Grand Duchy of Vladimir? Any hope to see them in the mod? In my opinion, these two and other Rus' Principalities were quite significant when it comes to the Mongol Invasion of Europe.
Very ambitious and promising mod, you did a very nice job and I hope you get this project to its end. My only "objection" is about the numbers, aren't the populations a bit inconsistent or downplayed ? The latin empire of Constantinople with all the shit that Anatolia and greece was going through and the territoral losses still manages to have a population twice the size that of France, whereas Ayyubid Sultanate who holds Egypt, Syria-Palestine and the Hejaz can't even reach the million. Also, I think the Iberians (at least Castille, Leon and Aragon) should have more population, they were historically more densely populated and had been recieving regular influx from christians fleeing the almohads for more than 70 years, even though the almohads should still retain the numerical advantage thanks to their maghrebi holdings, wich at the time was more prosperous and populous. Also the persian and levantine region should see its number rises considering this before the mongols, who are said to have directly or indirectly caused the deaths 1.5 to 2 million people across the region. Finally, the obvious one is Europe, Germany shouldhave more or less the same numbers as the french region while Italy should have something akin to two thirds of its total population. Basically I think you should add to those numbers who seems to belong in an ancient setting rather than a modern one.
Voievodatul Valahiei, now with that my friend you have my interest. Where do i sign up? You could also add Moldavia and Transylvania just saying, would be a lot cooler if you did
Why is the Armenian kingdom of Cilicia Catholic? Are they going to add more christian religions to the mod? Them being catholic is extremely odd. Why not give them the same religion as Makuria? At least its way closer to their religion then Catholic.
Because they were catholic. Leo I. united the the Armenian church in 1195 with the pope thus making it catholic and he was one anyways. That allowed him to be crowned first king of Armenia with papal recognition.

Minute 1.24 they are the mongols but with a more specific name
APC 219 they are called the golden horde I think
tolui and jochi were sons of genghis. ulus of jochi was the golden horde
1:24
I believe we have both the Ilkhante and the Golden Horde at the moment. From what I've seen their units look pretty amazing too.
damn that duchy of serbia dude looks like a badass, love the rough looking dudes more than the dudes in the heavy armor
Hey do you guys have a patreon or something similar? I love what you've made so far and I want to support this.
I really have no idea why CA has not made a Medieval 3. It would sell soo well
@Medival Kingsoms 1212ad, why Is there are duke of Bavaria but no Duke of Swabia ?
Yeah flanders lets go
The population numbers for almost all factions are incorrect, hope you fix that.
This mod looks more interesting than the game itself
Bro the job is great! But there is one huge mistake: Teutonic Order is in wrong place. It should be nore on south-west: Prussia region on the east of Danzig. Furthermore, they should start with one province, because they weren't so big yet. But job is amazing, I will look for more!
Teutonic Order should be in southeastern Transylvania.
Historically ya, but I understand why creator put it there
@@humancosplayer8787 Instead of Teutonic Order they could put there Livonian Brothers of the Sword.
@@majster7072 ya, maybe they are livonian order but creators made mistake xD
Most of it look amazing, though I suggest make the Ghurid Sultanate guy have the HRE pose. If I'm not mistaken, the Ghurids were quite the bloodyhanded empire in real life, not nearly as genocidal as Timurids and the like, but just as brutal. I could be wrong though.
The georgian borders are incorrect, so is the leader in 1212 tamar should be the king
Early Xmas gift thanks
this is why companies love modders people buy their games to play something they didnt make
Kutan the cuman king was killed for 300 meter from my home.
It´s hard to believe those populations .
Glad to se Sweden being included! Just one question, the game, does it start 1212ad?
Great mode and work, guys! Will you add Timurids in future?) If yes, that would be great!)
Vladimir is unplayable faction at the moment with new map tools 1212 have updated their map and in next update there will be novgorod
all humans with different color armor and beards.
It seems great.
This mod is much better than main campaign(395AD)
The developers of this mod deserve to get paid
Voievodatul Valahiei, now with that my friend you have my interest. Where do i sign up? You could also add Moldavia and Transylvania just saying, would be a lot cooler if you did
That is my biggest wish
Why is the Armenian kingdom of Cilicia Catholic? Are they going to add more christian religions to the mod? Them being catholic is extremely odd. Why not give them the same religion as Makuria? At least its way closer to their religion then Catholic.
Because they were catholic. Leo I. united the the Armenian church in 1195 with the pope thus making it catholic and he was one anyways. That allowed him to be crowned first king of Armenia with papal recognition.
Cilician armenians were catholics, and till today we have Armenian Catholic Church.
Actually othodox armenians call catholic armenians-"frang"
Will novgorod or Vladimir knyazdom be added?
