Great review Anthony. I really do like how the X5 has evolved plus that is a ton of power! The interior and exterior look so great as well. Not so crazy about the color but that can always change lol. Low 70s again here today and still going down into the 30s at night which I will never complain about. How were things on your side today? I wish they offered more colors like we talked about on the livestream but this is the new way of vehicles. Nice weather here was in the 60s and going to the high 30s tonight. Great for sleep lol. I finished the first part of my pantry door, I have to do some sanding and finishing touches tomorrow. I was happy to see you made the Livestream! I was like 5 or 6 questions behind today for maybe 20-30 minutes. It was fun and another great turn out. I had to pray so I cut it a little shorter than I wanted to but it was an awesome time. I hope to see you on the members livestream next week on Tuesday. I think I will keep it at home for a few weeks as the dealerships have been busy. Porsche had some issues with the hybrid trims. They have all the paperwork paid till 2025 but for some reason have had some inspections hold them back. It seems like the issues is a lot better but Porsche isn’t really sending a lot of inventory either so add that to the equation and it’s a recipe for disaster or customers paying more. Well, I guess my questions are: does the extra weight negatively affect cornering and overall handling and what happens to the extra boost of hp when the juice runs out of the battery? Aren’t you then just dragging around extra pounds? The over mpg on the hybrid is less too boot.
It will have less performance as the battery adds hp and torque but it will drive in Ice and with regenerative break it will add miles back till charged. It will never fully use up power but it will cut off and switch to ICE till charged back from driving or plug. Weight distribution in the 50e is 48/52 curb weight 5573 Xdrive40i 49.7/50.3 4998 M60i 50.4/ 49.6 5355 M competition 50.8/49.2 5498 None of these numbers change on cornering and because they are all xdrive models with a near 50/50 it will be very hard to feel a difference when taking them even with extra curb weight as BMW keep the dynamic so close to a perfect balance. Yes it’s extra weight without the extra Mpge added but that’s why the ICE on the PHEV has different mpg rates

I would have bought one if my wife would have gone for the plug in aspect... she didnt want one in the garage for risk of fire, I think the risk is extremely low, but we travel a lot in the winter so the car would be in the garage constantly... 🔥....... by the way, Im loving my SQ8.. perfect car for me and the gas mileage is better than they claim on the highway, around town its pretty horrible as expected lol
With almost every phev and battery we have had stop sells for all brands this past year. The warranty is great so under that I wouldn’t be concerned but as a reviewer I wouldn’t buy another added battery. When they go it’s pricey on any vehicle and every battery dies.

the best inline 6 engine with hybrid! even tho the weight is about 250kg heavier than just combustion engines this is great suv ever made!

Many reliability horror stories about this vehicle. BMW had a "stop sale" not that long ago because of major issues. Very un-X5 like.
