Mike, I follow all the usual motorcycle channels but look forward to yours the most. Thanks for keeping it real and simple, great work and thanks for sharing with us!
Great find. I would like to get my wife into riding. I feel the same way about breaking out the camera around strangers. That FL sky after your wing dinner looked awesome. Great looking bike. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to more Branch adventures...
thats cool that you found her a bike. im not a fan of blacked out bikes , some do look good though. i think the red makes it pop a bit. the fact that she really likes it is what matters. if she likes it then she will want to ride it. just a thought, you could if you want to , remove the cheap paint and get some of that DIY bed liner stuff. its flat black and tough as nails. i have seen a guy change the color of it with auto paint if you wanted a color. with all the rain there i would think a rear finder would be a good idea to keep water and road crap off your back, but it does hurt the look though. a side perk with this bike is you get to make vids fixing it lol. good vid and grats on the bike
Congrats on the new bike! Riding in the rain without fenders is rough. I got a twin cam harley but if I had the money and storage space id have 1 model of bike from every brand 😍 Looking for a clean intruder 800 or vulcan 750!
Man I’m hearing that was a very common issue now. Especially in that generation. We’re digging into some electrical this evening. Mostly to rewire the turn signal circuits but I’m sure I’ll be in the housing for that button too.
Hey Mike, congratulations on the new bike! In your place I would have taken the chance to reintroduce a Royal Enfield in the channel.. all the hype is with RE and will be for a few years at least.
Great choice with the Shadow, parts and skill to maintain are minimal, and those motors are bulletproof, but so are the 2000's model Sportster evo versions, I had a 2005 I bought with under 10k miles, and with regular maintenance, its still running strong with almost 150k on it now...still even has full compression...but, like I said, great choice on the Shadow, thats my go to when I take off for rides around the city
@@UncleBogator and the aftermarket support for Shadows is amazing, she will be able to make that her own style, and it will be easy on the pocketbook too
@@UncleBogator any Honda dealer ought to be able to order one or you can just get them on Amazon and eBay. I think every Honda from 99 - 08 used those things. They even have a new model number for it that had better water protection.
I sounded badass freaking sound and shadow brother I used to have an 82 750 shadow and I love that it it sounded good too but it didn’t sound like that one that’s a good sound and bike I think it’s gonna be an awesome bike for her for a first pike
A 2000? Quite likely the kill switch is worn out. Fairly common for the early 2Ks Hondas. Soft plastic melts fast and the contacts no longer contact. Still, a good choice.
Can we call this a EGO issue , my take is no matter what a person owns that will never make that person better than anyone else we all breath the same air, people may spend 40k on a bike but i bet my 8k bike will serve the same purpose, Peace .
Can't wait to see and hear that thing in person!
It’s a hoot man!! Kyle and Barber Mike rode it on Saturday
It was nice to see your older daughter in this video. You've talked about her in the past and it was nice to see her for the first time.

It was real pretty in that direction. Wasn't long before I hit rain again the whole way home. :) We'll be doing more together real soon.
Great video Mike. It's cool to see the Mrs wrenching on her own bike 🤘🤘🤘
Yeah I like that too. And she’s more than willing to get her hands dirty.
Congrats, Mrs. Branch!!

Yeah I had a mud stripe all up my back by the time we got home. Definitely a rear fender
hell yeah dude,,it'll be great to see you both ride together will be awesome to see for sure Congrats for her getting a new bike,,you both Rock 👍
Yeah man we're excited about it!

Yeah the rain and no fender meant a very wet back. Also the front tire kicked up plenty. Was always spraying my visor.
Love the Florida Man weather reports. Great first bike to learn on.
WMBR!
My old shadow eventually did that at the starter button.

We talked about an RE for her and she decided she wanted a cheaper used bike to start on. It’s definitely in consideration for her down the road.
I fell in love with Harley because of this video ❤

I always wanted one. This is a good choice for her.

That starter button is a pretty common issue with that gen of Honda. I replaced multiple on my Magna and my VTX.
I’ll dig in there and see what I need to do!

Here in Michigan, the MSA beginner course costs $60. Glad you could get some discount.
That sounds super cheap
When I took the class it was only $25. The state helps fund the program here, lowering the cost to the participants.

Much cooler than my first bike!
Hell YA! Brother!! 👍
Nice one, that will serve her well. I'm also a little bias 😜
This is gonna be a good bike for her. And I may borrow it from time to time
Superb
Too much fun!!!
That was a good weekend. Excited for more adventures with my lady.
Congratulations to your wife on her new ride. Be careful Mike her Shadow just might get more votes than your Award Winning Goldwing 😂.
Never

Thanks for the tip! I plan to get in the housing and check it all out soon.
just binge watching needs rear fender dont need racing stripes up your back
Keep watching my man
Nice reliable bike good choice I’m a little bias.sandpaper will usually get the oil filter off if it’s not overnighted 🍑👍🏿
I went ahead and got the pliers. $5. Not a bad investment.
@@UncleBogator no now you have them when you need them thanks for the reply man 🍑👍🏿
So a new project? xD
You got it
@@UncleBogator I wanna watch this :D
The clique mentality is funny when you look at it.
WD 40 the starter button...
Research 4*timing mod…..
Evo motor runs 4 ever
This one needed a new top end on the front cylinder at least. Starter wouldn’t disengage normally. Otherwise I’m sure it was a good bike.

Call me old fashioned but, dropping the f bomb with a little kid in the back c'mon man.
I do like the project though. Hope it works out. Are you thinking fenders? Might help stay a little drier😁
He’ll be fine my man
