Bummed when stuff didn't work out. But the next clip after was like a major turn around. Happy and hyped haha totally recognizable if you finally figured something out what was troubling you.
Ernest P Worrell!!...what a fun character he was!!...my thoughts...not that they matter!...get rid of the pressure guage! It creates doubt! If it wasn't there and you saw it had oil flow! You wouldn't think twice about it!!😂👍...great video as usual...stay safe out there!!😎👍🤙👍🤙🇨🇦
You are in Florida and it's hot. Like the Shovel the Evo needs 60w in the hot (summer) 50w in cold (winter). Here in Vegas I do RedLine 20-60 in my Twin Cam. Not as noisy. On my second oil change with it.. At idle you won't have any pressure, but once you get going the pressure builds. Good troubleshooting.
I'm not sure if the oil filter contains a bypass valve. If it does if those lines are backwards the oil flow would go against the valve so it wouldn't alow excessive pressure and resistance.. especially when the oil is cold to get around the filter element and not oil starve the engine.
Well I wish I could say that but no I installed it because of the oil light lol. The guy I bought it from had it for 3 months and claims he didn’t ride it much. He paid a shop to do work on it and I know those oil lines were new. Just glad I caught it.
@UncleBogator 🤣🤌...I'm sure...gauge will read good...hot Evo oil at proper idle is shuts the light off at 5 -7psi...sportys tooeith your standard harley oil pressure switch...60w is messing the gauge up or gauge is the cheapest gotdang thing you could find...
@@shelby.daytona6890 so it is another bad switch. All I have to do is jiggle the end and the light works again. But I wasn’t careful with it at all. Thought I was tossing it. I have another one on the way. Why would 60 mess with the pressure? Service manual lists sae 60 as good over 80 degrees. Just learning here Also yes the gauge is a cheap one. What’s a good one?
Bogator, love that tennis ball green color!🤓! I'm gonna be repainting my H-D that same color! I'm secure in my "guy-ness" that there's no shame to my game in being seen on such a FABULOUS colored motorcycle!🏍️😎❤️🧸 Doug
Was 70 first time doing more than oil changes . A manual does wonders . Always learning in life . Rock on !
Back at ya my man!
Ernest saves motorcycle maintenance.
Ha! Bingo
Great video sir hopefully u get her all figured out soon so u can enjoy it
Amen to that
I use amsoil 20w50 in my 98 evo. Works great with no issues
I’m tempted to switch. I’ve been running that Amsoil in my twin cams for years.
I believe the oil line routing to and from the filter is about flow.
That’s what I’m understanding as I read a couple comments and talking to some friends.

Yeah man I felt defeated loll. I was so glad when all I had to do was burp it.

I’m on the fence about the gauge. I don’t have a trustworthy light at the moment either.
Cool stuff unk, cheers to being youtube certified. Love the video bro.
Thanks my man

Can’t take all the credit. Shelby and Pedro were helpful. I did figure out it was in the lines almost by accident. Other guidance was with their help.
You got this. Amen.
The only advice I can give you UNC... It's all shits and giggles til someone giggles and shits..😮😮😂😂
😂😂😂
Uncle Gator, which nutz are the problem??? DEZZZ ones right here!
😂
It should be one of your next t-shirts!
Amen!
Great video, Mike 🤘🤘🤘
Thanks bud
This bikes color reminds me of your Yellow Shirt Of Maintenance. I kept thinking the whole video "is this the Yellow Bike of Maintenance?"
It may as well be!
Cam breather may be out of adjustment.
Yep, that vent should be clear, the other end is not connected to anything.

That makes perfect sense. Bypass valve or even a check valve.
Hi buddy...hope you let little gator go for a ride...my v8 runs at 30psi so I would imagine that a v twin at 15psi is on the money...love you all ❤❤❤
Cheers man
The previous owner probably installed that gauge because of the oil light.

Your running 60 weight oil...put 20w-50 back in...
It's not an iron head in florida
Really? Got rid of the clatter I had on July 4th

How can you learn if you don't try to do it yourself?
Bingo man. Nailed it
That color is nasty... In a good way 🤙💨💯
Hell yeah
Is mandatory in Florida that oil change drive bikes have a chain guard you can get a ticket by a cop if he wants to be a hard-ass
May take my chances on it but thanks

You should take your Harley to a painter and get a "Good" paint job instead of a road crossing guard paint job 🥴
if you watched this video you already know how seriously I take unsolicited advice from the comments

First and foremost throw away your tins, don't even repaint them, there gross and your oil problem will go away
