    Great work with this video. I am in the US Army, specifically the Infantry, and a lot of my work comes down to deprogramming these negative mindsets. It's crazy what this manosphere culture does to what people think makes sense. So many people are hard coded in thinking this negative, anger filled way that it kills positive growth. I'll definitely be sharing your video, I know some that would have a chance to grow seeing this.

    Hey Chris! I call you Chris because I'm also called Chris. Man, I have to tell you, I was so close to finally going full bai lan, I mean I had almost reached it, I almost finished Resignation. And then Natalie came along and then Hidetaka and hbomb and Elvanse and Jesus and bread and futa and shaun and Todd Howard who just works and Claude and everybody and they fooled me into realizing the value of being alive and I lost all my progress and then...you come along too! With your stupid awesome channel. Your vids, man, they're really something else! And then you give me hope of all things. What am I supposed to do with hope? I don't know how to operate this shit! What am I supposed to do now? Declare you my personal hero? Try to become a ytber? Dream of becoming maybe a tenth as good as you one day? Ok, you know what? Screw it! Liked this video and what you had to say. I think this view is key in helping men shed this shit and realise that these other men don't care about them
    Patriarchy means 'rule of the FATHERS', not men in general. Only a few select men reap the benefits while the rest of us are stuck on the bottom with little chance of moving up (and why would you want to move up when it involves stepping on others?)
    12:53 Man I FELT this. I feel this way so much. I often feel like I can't be another person or can't be myself and it does make me think 'well what's the point, why bother at all?' in that blackpill way (I was blackpilled for a while).
    I've tried the growth stuff and am still trying and it was great for me but I think I focused on the idea that it would make me more attractive and was disappointed when it didn't
    I know what you say about having intimacy not defining your self-worth but... damn it just sucks when no one's ever been attracted to you. I feel stuck, but that's probably too much baggage sorry

      To me a lot of this feels like a misdirection of genuine problems. The suffering of these men is real, it's just not caused by females but by late stage capitalism. The lack of masculinity has a lot to do with the addictive effects of a lot of social media and the complacent lifestyle that is being sold to us.
      Regular hard physical excersize is very important for woman and especially for men and many men don't get their minimal as well as a healthy and varied diet which a lot of men aren't getting either.

  • @seaweed2433

    For years feminists have been trying to explain how much this harms men. Overstructured gender roles are detrimental to all of us. Men are being told they have to act in such a specific narrow way, it is an impossible standard and an unhealthy onr

    • @painunending4610
      @painunending4610 2 года назад

      I haven't see feminists doing that personally. Most feminists focus on women and problems that harm women, they don't really care about men (which is fine, they can do what they wanna do). I'm not sure why people frame feminists as being a collectivist group that all thinks and acts the same, or why they try to shoehorn men into the movement when it's FEMinism
      But I do agree with you. Luckily I think a lot of men are waking up and realising it's a raw deal. Unfortunately I also think many men are insecure in the changing landscape and latch onto the regressive rock that is the manosphere because it gives them some stability even if it also slowly crushes them

    • @darcyreimer5032
      @darcyreimer5032 2 года назад +7

      I’m a little embarrassed that it took a man to tell me this in order for it to register. But then again it is kinda our job to advocate for ourselves.

    • @MrMarinus18
      @MrMarinus18 Год назад +3

      But also anti-feminism isn't really helping anyone. Many of these, both feminist and manoist don't really do much if anything to actually better the lives of men and woman. It isn't really about rather or not they "hate men", that's kind of irrelevant.
      What matters is what they do to help improve the lives of men. Like for example many men work in dangerous jobs so the manosphere should try to help them form labour unions and demand better protection for them. Many men feel very socially isolated and vulnerable so the manosphere should try to provide companionship for them, help them make friends.

    • @ER-ml8eb
      @ER-ml8eb Год назад +7

      No they have not. Feminism is literally built upon the premise that men are oppressors, either by nature or nurture, depends on your point of view, and women are their victims. The logical conclusion of this is that feminists do not think misandry is real, which if you've ever talked to any of them you will agree it's an extremely common position. A feminist genuinely being concerned about something harming men is akin to a socialist genuinely being concerned about something harming billionaires.

    • @MrMarinus18
      @MrMarinus18 Год назад +3

      @@ER-ml8eb I disagree with that assessment. Woman and men can be and often are victimized together. They also can and have worked together for their socialist goals.
      Feminism is inherently left winged and they have allied with other left-wing organizations. A big part of why they never really allied with labor unions is more so because those unions feared the competition in the job market and the disruptions to their lives.
      The problem though is that "feminist" is an extremely broad term. Often it's more a negative term meaning one defined more by what it's not. Sometimes anyone who doesn't look down on woman is called a feminist.
      Most people who self-identify as feminists though hold very socialist views in general. They view it not because of men but as an inherent part of the corrupt capitalist system under which we live.

    • @MrMarinus18

      But also what has the manosphere actually done to improve the lives of men?
      Have they helped disenfranchised men find jobs and housing? Have they helped young lost millenials find a direction? Have they helped underpaid workers doing dangerous work unionize and demand better protection and pay? Have they maybe helped addicts cope with their redraw symptoms? Have they provided support to a lone father who has to take care of multiple kids? Maybe assist the many men being abused by GIG economy find some support or find a way to give them comparable protections of regular workers?
      I have seen a lot of shouting, blame throwing, toxic attitudes and clickbait titles but very little genuine effort or even concern for the suffering of men.

    This is so eye opening for me. For the last 2 years of my life, ever since I first clicked on a Hamza video, I've been sent down the rabbithole of these masculine gurus.
    It pissed me of to unbelievable degrees, because, I've been a 4channer when I was younger, and these videos are nothing more than early /pol/ grifts. It's something like If you just got of rehab and someone offers you a line. You know you shouldn't but there's something making you do it.
    I thought if I resent my masculinity, I'd be shielded from radicalization, which is true I didn't become a 4channer again, but it was hindering my progress. It made me resent normal human activities like the gym. And worst of all, I still felt like a shit about myself, and sometimes have thoughts of self deletion or wishing I was trans.
    This video explained me the reason, and that is that by my resistance to it, I actually was tricked into what they really want to achieve:
    For us to feel like shit, and thinking they are the answer. They are the disease and the cure.

    I think this is interesting. There's discourse among trans people whether a word like Transmisandry can even exist if men aren't structurally oppressed. But I think the issue of what to even call the problems trans guys have with masculinities is the last of our concerns. Yes, the hatred of men differs from the hatred of women. But when I finally started loving men and being a man I learned just how hurt, uncertain, and lonely so many of us are. Even our relationships to each other as men are not often allowed the space to experience the fullest of humanity with another person.

      I disagree as just fighting it goes nowhere as that will just make them dig their heels in even more.
      Instead you should try to disprove them through deeds that actually help men.
      You should also point to actual positive examples of masculinity and I think we can look towards the world wars. Nobody could ever dispute that the soldiers starving, freezing, getting shot at and falling over from exhaustion were unmanly. However many, many, many of them were socialist or even communist. This was because they were "real men". Men that won't let some overpaid CEO abuse them, men that will stand up for themselves to demand a decent life for themselves and their family, men that felt comfortable opening up to others about their experiences, men who proved themselves through deeds to others or a greater cause.
      Many also don't like to hear it but there was a backlash against the socialism of men and how they weren't "real men" anymore, especially in Germany by the Nazi's. They wanted to restore the idea of strong masculine men against the lesser beta men and especially the omega men which were the jews.

      @@chriswaves Yeah, sounds like you had a similar high school experience , I was also surrounding myself around this group of guys who I had nothing really in common with because I thought they were cool and that they were my friends just because they would call me bro and stuff like that but I started noticing that they were kinda rude to me at times and never really made any plans to hang out with me and I started thinking that maybe if I were more “alpha” that they would like me because they liked to act like they were “hard” and not “gay” We are basically taught that being kind to women = Simping. I’m kind to everyone though. Being “Nice” and expecting sex from it is ridiculous tbh.

    For me the real issue isn't just their own contradictions but what they do or rather what they don't do. How much effort have they actually put into helping the condition of men? Like providing food to the poor? Helping unions? Assisting single fathers?
    I feel calling people out on their hypocrisy is rather pointless as they are not going to change their mind. I think asking for their actual contributions could actually do at least something. I think we should try to promote the idea that social credit comes from deeds and not from words, kind of like how a "real man" would do it. In the middle ages they also had an ideal of a "real man" but it meant a responsible and selfless man. One who is in control of his body and dedicated himself to a larger cause. The most obvious symbol of this was of course the knight, the protector of the innocent and the one who will die in glory for his lord or his cause. Dying on the battlefield with a smile on his face knowing he lived a productive and good life of service and selflessness.
    I think we need to promote that kind of masculinity. That being a real man comes from being selfless, to work hard for the sake of another, to not be afraid to make a sacrifice, to not be afraid to lose your job to go on strike, to not be afraid to ask your wife for her opinion and to not be afraid to face ridicule to stand up for what's right.
    To me that is positive masculinity. To fight hard for the sake of another, believe in yourself for the sake of others and to if needed throw yourself in danger to save another.

    Wow, I thought I was watching a video by a 500k or 1M sub channel for the first few minutes, the production quality on this video is that good. I've been drawn into some of Sneako's content in the past few weeks during Destiny's arc with him, but I try my best to remember that it's just entertainment and that the red pill ideology is to be avoided, as it is a really good way to stay miserable from what I've seen.

    You have a grand total of 4 clips in this video which you refer to. That doesn't seem very representative of what seems to be a wide online community, or even of the men in them. Ironically you are the one reducing these men to cartoons. I'm not deep into this crap but randomly scrolling on reels/youtube shorts I've come across clips of "manosphere" personalities talking about male friendship, the value of love and marriage, generosity, being happy with simplicity. I don't know, many of them might be total assholes anyway, but I don't get the impression you've painted a full picture here. Can you really boil down an entire loose community of millions to simplistic shit like "THE ONLY THING THEY TELL YOU IS TO BE A VICIOUS ANIMAL" ? Seems a bit reductive.

      One thing I also question about this is the attitude towards socialism as many like to say it is the cause of men's weakness. Yet the heights of socialism was actually the world wars and many, many of the men were socialist. You can't say that the men getting shot at on the beaches or drowning in the mud or starving in the trenches were not "real men".
      They were real men and as real men they felt they should stand up for their rights and not let themselves be treated like dirt by some overpaid CEO in a factory. As real men they felt confident enough to open up to others and put their differences aside for the greater good.

    I would have to respectfully disagree with you, especially with your thoughts on narrowing your mind down to become more "alpha". Manosphere/red-pill does not boil down to alpha-hood, because that is a very surface level assumption, it is about assisting men in controlling their emotions, killing unwanted ego, and improving their level of discipline so that they can become a better version of themselves.
    In my humble opinion, how you came to this conclusion about the manosphere is because you have not been in any combat sport, or any sports that have a strong emphasis on individual performace than teamwork for an extensive amount of time (2 years minimum).
    If you find it hard to learn from "tough-love", or consume almost exclusively tik-tok videos of Andrew Tate and FnF, then you will very likely come to the wrong conclusion or assumption about the manosphere/red-pill.

    • @MrMarinus18
      @MrMarinus18 Год назад +1

      I actually think that strong emphasis on individuality is a real problem. Men should not be told to go about life alone, they should seek out friends and people like them for help, support and guidance.
      I do have a real problem though which is that the manosphere is all talk. They haven't really done much of anything to actually help improve the lives of men.
      I actually do participate in a combat sport but I mostly find it part of the scam that is most of self help. Humans can't help themselves, never could and never will. Humans are helped through other people and pushing men into even further individualism is very bad. I do also believe very strongly in tough love and that getting rid of spankings was a mistake.
      A lot of the issues men suffer from are due to late stage capitalism so that means instead of focusing on the individual we should focus on the collective. Tough love actually applies far more to the collective, best example of which is the military where individualism is almost completely eliminated as the mission matters, not the individual.

    • @MrMarinus18
      @MrMarinus18 Год назад +1

      "Toughening up" is not what we need more of these days, it's compassion and higher thinking. We are in a level of exploitation that was eliminated in the 1930's but now companies have found many loopholes to impliment it again and consumerism has subsumed nearly all manner of purpose.
      I think instead of just shutting ourselves down to fit in the system maybe we should question the system. It has been done before and it can be done again. Many people say the soldiers of WW1 and WW2 were tough men and they certainly were. Yet if they felt they were being exploited they would go on strike so why shouldn't that be considered a part of being tough men. In WW1 the soldiers of the French army even went on strike at one point, they called it a mutiny but it really was just a strike to demand better conditions and better rations.
      Today we like to accuse those striking for better pay and conditions of being lazy and spoiled but you can't say the soldiers suffering, dying and being miserable in the trenches were spoiled or lazy. They however were men and as men they were not afraid to stand up for their rights.

      You're not wrong in your assessment but the truth isn't really that much better. The manosphere is just a thinly veiled generic self-help. The whole idea you can improve your life by becoming something different rather than banding together to try to create a better life for all.
