I trust you. This is sort of a gold standard for videos helping decide between multiple choices.
So many videos on this topic. But this one is the absolute best. Thank you for the great detailed breakdown.
Glad it was helpful! Side note: I now use transistor.fm for all my shows
@beardfm, well now we need a video about that! :)
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. This video helped me make a decision.
Thank you for the info! 😁
Welcome!
Thank you!!
Thx bearded teach!
What camera do you use? Quality is phenomenal. Thanks!!
Thank you! I believe this was a Lumix S5, but if you watch newer videos in the new studio, that’s all Sony A7IV
Brilliant advice and easy to listen to. I've been researching this for my business and you have really helped. New subscriber.
Thanks Steve, appreciate it!
Thanks! Thoughts on Red Circle?
Hm, haven’t heard of that one!
Thank you for explaining these options so clearly without fluff! You saved me time. Instant sub!
Appreciate this
thanx
Loved your video, any thoughts on podbean?
Thanks! I don’t have much experience with Podbean but looking at their website it seems like a great feature set! As long as they provide an RSS feed with your show that’s easy to move it looks good!
Thank you :) really clearly presentated.
🙏🏻
This was exactly what I needed to know, I appreciate you making this video! Thanks!
Welcome!
This was fabulous! Sure appreciate the content. I've been so fixated on creating my podcast with a niche that I keep forgetting that multiple podcasts are an option. Do you have any videos or tips on how to generate an audience for your other interests (podcasts?)
Glad it was helpful! I actually contribute to the ruclips.net/user/riversidefm channel and there are lots of great videos on building an audience there!

Love the fact you corrected, but it's actually 65000 diffence
I've had my podcast for 19 years, and have never been on a podcast hosting platform. I've always just created my own feed file with Feeder, and uploaded it to my web hosting service where our episode files and website files reside. It might make my life easier if my podcast were hosted by a podcast hosting service? Maybe easier to update the feed for each episode? If I decide to do that, how would I do that? I wouldn't be adding a "new" podcast, and I wouldn't be switching from one platform to another. I would be adding my existing feed to a hosting service I guess. Is it a simple matter of typing in the feed file url that we've always used?
I used to do the same thing! But modern podcast hosts make the whole process much easier. I would try transistor.fm/?via=beardfm you can point it at your current feed and it will import all those past episodes. Then you will have a new feed URL, but you can update that directly in Apple Podcasts and Spotify to point to transistor hosting.
TY
Hey Stephen grate vid! How about Podcastle?
Hi George! I actually don't have any personal experience with Podcastle. Although since this video I've actually moved many of my podcasts to transistor.fm. They're great for managing multiple shows.
@@beardfm Thanks Stephen, I´ll check them out
damn your video quality is insane! 🔥
Thanks, newer videos are even better!
Can you record and edit in these platforms?
No, to record and edit I would suggest using riverside.fm
I like this guy!
This was really helpful. Thank you so much 🙏
Glad it was helpful!
Such a helpful video, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
A lot of value in this - thanks!
Glad it helped!
Hey there, i noticed that you didn't mention podbean, I just wanted to ask if you have any experience with them and if so what is your opinion? Overall they seem to have the best value compared to other options I've looked at but I dont want to make the wrong decision.
Hey there, I don’t have any personal experience with Podbean, but it’s been around a long time and many use it. Since creating this video, I’ve actually starting using transistor.fm for several shows and really like. I prefer their UI and website page design. And you can create multiple shows at no extra cost.
Great video, no bullshit, straight on expertise 👌🏻
Thanks!
Thank you for this video. I found it really helpful!
Glad it helped!
clear and to the point! subscribed!!!!
Appreciate it!
Hello, I’d like to thank you for that exciting information about those different platforms I was interested in some of those platforms but are they accessible for a blind person to use are they as easy to use to upload podcast
It depends what platform your using, Mac or Windows. I would say Mac has good voiceover support and all those providers work in Safari. You should be able to navigate them with Mac accessibility settings!
@@beardfm yes I’m using the platform of iOS is it easy to upload using a iPad or iPhone to these platforms I am visually impaired meaning Blind totally so I’m trying to find a easy way to navigate the site and if they are able to be navigate it with voiceover
I would use an iPad, but yes. I’ve used all these platforms to upload directly on an iPad
I actually realised today I could not use Riverside for distribution, so I came to RUclips and search podcast distribution and this video came up, then I thought 💭 this guys looks like the guy I saw today all over Riverside 🤔
Haha Total coincidence.
Haha that *is* me on both! But I will say, I've switched to transistor.fm for my podcast hosting since making this video 😉
Thank you so much, but do you think Buzzsproud is better for beginners aca dummies?
This is a great video dude, awesome info!
Thanks! Glad it helped!
Starting a podcast now and uploaded to anchor as it was free and easy. however as I grow if I grow I have been looking into riverside and sqaudcast. Buzzsprout has been on my radar. How is it comparable and would u recommend any of the others I just mentioned?
I would highly recommend Riverside for remote record, which is a separate tool from “hosting.” Hosting your podcast I really love Transistor.fm and Buzzsprout
Do you think Garage Band is a good choice for editing the audio? Or does it need to be audacity? Thank you 🙏
GarageBand works great! You can definitely edit there
One question that I have, when you finish a podcast, do you still need the paid subscription to keep the podcasts available to listeners or can you end the subscription and it still be on the platforms it is available to.
No matter the hosting platform you'll need to continue paying for hosting for the episodes to be available for download across Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.
@@beardfm ok, thank you
Wait wait wait soooo Riverside is not a host? 😳 After I paid a year subscription? 😫 Kill me mow, or don’t, I have to continue recording my podcast to pay for all this 😅
👏👏👏
Which podcast host offers...
1. excellent customer support (by phone, not email)
2. maximum flexibility moving content, adding subscription features etc
3. least censorship within limits of jurisdiction
Price is least of my concerns
It is not true that Anchor/Spotify make it difficult to distribute a podcast outside of Spotify. Absolute nonsense. It’s very easy.
Didn’t mean it was difficult to distribute, meant it was difficult to move and doesn’t have some of the open features for transferring your podcast elsewhere easily.
Great video sounds like I know what the winner is fireside but buzzsprout sounds awesome as well
Thanks! Since making this one I actually really found transistor.fm to be an excellent choice. Would recommend you check them out too!
Thanks. Really useful and exactly what I needed. Will go with your Buzzsprout recommendation and see how we get on.
Glad it helped!
