It seems as though the other DBZ fans think that those characters are the strongest and fastest characters to ever exist, making them unbeatable. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be a part of the same fanbase.
Joose Neck In my opinion, DBZ characters are pretty over-powered in their own right, but in comparison to other franchises, most of them can easily be out-classed if they are paired up with certain characters. I don't know why most DBZ fans think that just because they are capable of destroying planets and killing powerful enemies automatically makes them the best their is (because it really doesn't).
You can't just assume the DBZ franchise is full of the most powerful characters in the universe without evidence to back up your statement, yanno'? Plus, I'm kinda' glad Kirby won since the fight seemed pretty fair and great from the start, haha!
7goofygoober I have no anger towards Kirby, this guy, ScrewAttack, or anyone who thinks Kirby should win. They are doing simple entertainment on RUclips, not crucial every details ever said in the franchise. This battle or the outcome doesn't bother me, well I don't agree with it, but it doesn't bother me. In other terms, I'm pretty sure many DBZ fans, which I am one of, just find it REALLY weird that some blob that is in Nintendo and can only fight little warriors in a video game beats Majin Buu who crushed gods.

The speed of Kirby's Warp Star can easily match that and go further. Also, Kirby can survive explosions big enough to cover the planet, which means it can easily take anything Buu or Kid Buu can hit it with. Kirby is well beyond Buu's ability to kill.

Dragon Ball Z fans need to suck it up about Goku and Buu losing. They were put into death battles they couldnt win. Thats the end of it. This is coming from a huge Dragon Ball fan whose seen all the way from DB to GT at least 8 times in last 4 years. Goku wouldn't be able to beat Superman, hes not smart enough to know Supermans connection with the sun, and in a few movies his go to was shoot them into the sun, Supermans strength is infinite and can increase forever if he gets enough solar energy, and he spent a long time in the sun in that battle.
Hypernova Kirby sucked up Kid Buus planet destroyer attack and sent it back at him, he was so in shock that Kirby sucked it up that he just didn't move, thats the end of that. Deal with it everyone. Theres no gosh darn bias.

If however Buu did somehow win, there wouldve been something extra in the analysis (which there couldnt have been because they covered all available sources for his abilities) that wouldve lead to his victory, and i would accept it simply because thats what made sense because of the analysis

So basically this fight comes down to striking power vs. ki strength. Buu's ki blasts can easily easily easily destroy planets and anyone they hit, but Kirby has shown that he can swallow similar blasts like the one at the end of Kirby Triple Deluxe and shoot them back out with more power. So basically that invalidates any ki blasts Buu could shoot at Kirby, and since it was Kid Buu and not Super Buu with Gotenks, Gohan, and Piccolo absorbed, he wasn't able to strategize a way to hit Kirby with his ki blasts, and also putting in Super Buu with everyone absorbed just makes everything so super complicated. So killing Kirby with a ki blast is impossible, because he can just swallow any one of them. This leaves Buu with punches, kicks, and martial arts. Well this is where Kirby beats Buu at. While Buu can destroy a planet easily with a ki blast, he cannot punch a planet and destroy it. Kirby on the other hand can punch a planet right in half. So basically Kirby has much higher physical prowess and Buu has much higher energy prowess. But Kirby's inhale invalidates any energy attacks, so Buu literally cannot kill Kirby. "Well then how can Kirby kill Buu and not have it be a stalemate?" While I don't think the Death Battle's way of ending is completely accurate, because even if Buu's planet destroying ball was multiplied by 2X, that wouldn't kill him, there is something Kirby has that can, and that's the Star Rod. Just like the Spirit Bomb, the Star Rod has the power to destroy every single bit of evil in it's target and completely disintegrate them. Also the Star Rod can't be destroyed, I don't know why they had it get destroyed in the Death Battle. So we are left with this: Buu has NO way to kill Kirby, Kirby has NO way to kill Buu except maaaaaaaaybe the Star Rod. Thus Kirby is the only possible winner. Buu literally cannot win this fight.

If we look at Akira Toriyama's power scales for battle of gods and Goku and beerus' fight in dragon ball super we see that ssj3 is a 1 ssg is a 6 and beerus is a 10. As stated by the supreme Kai the classes between Goku and beerus almost destroyed the universe. is ssj3 Goku is slightly stronger than kid buu wouldn't kid buy be able to destroy at least a galaxy
I read on the official wiki that king dede (don't know how to spell it} once broke the star rod into seven pieces so it can be broken from what I know but I don't really know if it can be destroyed but if so I doubt permanently since I think it shares attributes with Kirby's star since he inhales it in the show to gain the power of course I haven't read if the show is canon but it must be to be used in the death battle as a reference. of course I don't know his exact means of doing said feat.Also does Kirby necessarily have to only double the redirections power is it not possible unless there is evidence disclaiming that this is the case he could increase the power many fold based on instinct or fighting prowess since well he is completely matured but has fought and defeated nightmare who in his universe could have destroyed all of reality itself correct me if I am mistaken but I think logically he could used the star rod or sheer force of will by escalation of the multiplier of the redirectional force of the planet buster attack thrown by buu its in fact anime/cartoon so I know that sounds ridiculous but it is definitely not out of the question since well buu can scream a whole in reality and Kirby has an alternate endless reality in his belly.I'm not exactly hardcore fan of either series but I enjoy the themes both bring to light. Funny thing is death battle technically extended the fight. Boo would have died when the star rod beam hit him, because the star rod destroys evil, the only thing that can kill boo.
"Buu is so Powerful that he can destroy a Planet"...well not much of a milestone anymore. At the beginning of DBZ, Vegeta blew up a Planet with only a Finger, while he was travelling the Universe with Nappa, at his Base form, with a Powerlevel of "only" 18000. Way weaker than Goku Base form. Seems like the more Powerful Characters become, the weaker they get (Paradox ?) :)
The Planet that Vegeta blew up was stated to have a much weaker structure making it much easier to be blown up
The problem is they get stronger but lose the ability to showcase it. Power creep.
Only next step is to destroy entire galaxies or at least a star system but then sense of scale just gets larger without much emotional attachment by the viewer.
People can relate to the planet they live on. So seeing something capable of destroying it means something. Destroying 1000 other planets and stars in the same attack doesn't add much to the pot really. Though honestly it's the only thing they can go onto after planet busting was revealed.
As we get older our perspectives change. Back when we were the target age power levels were sufficiently over 9000 for us to accept whatever writing they put in between.
Now the world is flooded with media and with it all at our fingertips there's more of a need for stories to work harder to avoid being to similar to others and also avoid being too cliche and predictable while not going too far into offending the status quo on what is taboo or not.
Naruto started out trying to be more strategic but in the end fell into a similar power creep coming onto the end. Though it was more conservative with its increments so things don't get too out of hand and forcing the story to have to end earlier than it did.

Great video Ris! I really enjoyed this fight but I felt like Screwattack missed talking about a few very important points:
1. Instant Transmission and teleporting means that you can get around really, REALLY fast but that doesn't change your fighting speed. From what I've seen, the punches Buu throws really aren't fast enough to always surprise Kirby. Sure, a combo of constantly teleporting around would certainly throw him off(which it did in the fight), but a punch coming directly at him is certainly blockable.
2. The transformations or "outside help" as some people called it, didn't help Kirby in the long run. All the fighting in the animation is simply for fun and nothing else, giving Buu more transformations and taking away Kirby's powerups really wouldn't have made much difference.
3. You cannot regenerate from the sun. Trust me, the sun burns atoms incredibly fast and looking at the animations of Buu regenerating, it ain't nearly fast enough to make him survive that. As said by Screwattack themselves, his body is affected by normal bullets, there's no way he could've survived the heat of the sun.
4. Instant Transmission requires FOCUS. They said that in the Goku vs Superman fight. I'm guessing that with his underdeveloped mind, Buu focused more on trying to react to the intense pressure the Spirit Blast thingie was giving him and had no way whatsoever of trying to teleport away.
5. Game mechanics do not always equal canon. Like seriously, that's the biggest mistake Screwattack made in the Link vs Cloud video by giving him the lock-on feature. Just because Kirby takes damage and dies in the games much easier than he did here doesn't mean that he does. It's to balance out the game because seriously, if the Kirby games had him being invincible they'd be pretty boring. Just like how Krillin can beat Buu in the Budukai Tenkaichi games, Kirby isn't ultra powerful in the games.
These are just things I wish Screwattack focused on in the video a bit more because people got really mad about this fight. They do not hate DBZ fans at ALL(heck, I think Chad is a fan himself) and they are not making these videos because of bias but because they legitimately research these characters, make a cool video about it and hope that people enjoy the video. I personally really enjoyed it and found the animation to be top notch.
this was one of the truest comments I have seen about this battle, most of the arguments (from either side) are either wanking, assuming things, or just plain lies to make one side look stronger than the other, (I personally liked the video and I do agree with the outcome, Kirby is not some weakling that these DBZ fans tend to think he is).

In the sub-game "Crackity Hack" in "Kirby & The Amazing mirror", the description says "Crack the Earth with a Wack !", so yes, Kirby splits the Earth as well in that game and what's scarier, is that Kirby was, uh, "divided" into four of him, so he was capable of cracking the Earth in two... WITH ONLY 1/4 OF HIS FULL STRENGTH !!!!!

Wouldn't Buu, especially Fat Buu, be OVERJOYED to be stuck in an infinite void filled with all the sweets he could want? I can see him breaking out after he managed to gobble it all up, assuming he managed to do that at a faster rate than Kirby could absorb more food.
While I don't necessarily think this was bias, there is no doubt in my mind that Buu would win this fight. They always get one crucial thing wrong about DBZ characters: their speed. Goku was moving faster than light when he was still a little kid. He outran a solar flare attack in the world martial arts tournament. He learned to move faster than lightning *before* drinking the spirit water, which increased all his stats exponentially.
That's all. Begin the haters.

I enjoyed this deathbattle very much! I was really nervous for kirbys saftey... i knew he was strong but i didnt know he was THAT strong. Also they were both kinda bubblegum in the stretchy kinda way XD Does anyone have any idea who the 2 were in the next time? For the first time in many next times i have no clue o_o

I'm a huge dbz fan but I don't like buu very much so I was rooting for..... Buu just because Kirby fans just won't shut up and call dbz fans "immature and butthurt" but face it Kirby fans if Kirby lost u would be butthurt too and I wouldn't call Kirby "mature" either. Most people just call dbz immature because of the buu saga that's only 1/4 of the dbz sagas. The fans who won't shut up make me enjoy this battle less.
by the way Gray buu and Super buu were not in death battle because it would not be fair for kirby (Superbuu is way stronger than kid buu). Super buu is the only buu that has strategies to beat his opponent. Kirby does not have strategies as screw attack said

I was really happy with Kirby's victory when I first saw this as for the next fight while Ragna the Bloodedge and Sol Badguy are both from different games (Blazblue and Guilty Gear) they are both from the same company which is Arc System Works.

Fellow Dbz fans you're really raging to hard right now to me it makes total sense Buu lost.
One Buu definitely has more raw power but he's flimsy! Remember they showed it Buu is the only dragonball character who's body was affected by bullets, even kid goku who was freaking twelve didn't get hurt when bulma shot him yes he fell down but he got up a few seconds later, the bullets bounced of him! The embedded themselves in Buu though!
Also the thing about Buu destroying planets, not really impressive, yes Buu is powerful but again he's weak! Really weak when it comes to constitution attacks rip and shred him the only reason he gets back up is because he's not completely obliterated, sure his planet burst attack has enough power to destroy a planet ten times over but thats not a whole lot in the saiyan saga Vegeta could destroy planets when he first fought goku and he's become vastly more powerful since. Buu however can be torn apart by almost any attack go rewatch the buu saga any attack that hits but does some kind of damage or at least has a visible effect.
Also Buu is not faster than light remember in Goku vs Superman they correctly pointed out that Dragonball heavily abuses cinematic time and they do so Buu is not faster than light. All in all Kigby has the ability to win and he did.

I think they're saving Super Buu for another match because technically its Evil Buu that creates Super Buu, not Mr. Buu who Kid Buu eventually became.

The comparisons between the 2 are this, big (except kid buu), dumb, and murderous, so I think they wanted Buu and Kirby to be on equal ground, so they took out the other buu forms . . . Though I would like to see a fight with super buu

Also, it should be noted that the star rod is powerful against evil, so that's why they played up on it as if it were a trump card.
But there from different universes so it most likely wouldnt work at all even if it did it wouldnt hurt him most Ki attacks didnt even scratch him and Buu could just copy the star attack so the whole star rod shouldve been scratched out as a trump card at all

The Star Rod isn't Ki though and I don't think it matters if they are from different worlds because evil in Kirby or evil in DBZ, Buu is still evil so I don't see why it wouldn't effect him in the same way, also if its designed to kill evil beings I doubt an evil being can use it and even if he did, Kirby is good so it wouldn't really effect him anyway. Also, the Star Rod isn't what beat him so does it matter either way?
I was expecting a great reaction coming from you and you didn't disappoint.
Let me clarify a few things:
When Buu absorbs beings, he chooses on what characteristics to take from the people he has absorbed.
Like in the manga and anime, he took the intelligence of one character, but the strength of another. He only uses this mechanism under high pressure or when he's being threatened to the point where he knows he's going to lose.
Also, nothing will happen if Kirby absorbs the Star Rod. Though, he has never tried to do that.
In difference on strengths, Buu could also easily shatter a planet with a punch, since much inferior DBZ characters have shown durability towards planet bursts attacks with little damage. But still, when Kirby broke it he had the power of martial arts, so yeah, with added powers, Kirby was superior.
In speed only the Warp Star mattered.
In durability, I'm kind of iffy. Sure, planet bursts can destroy Buu, but not hurt him. In the manga, Buu was never shown facing bullets, so they really took that out of nowhere. That part of the anime is not canon.
They also left Super Buu, the smartest and most powerful version of Majin Buu. But I guess he would've probably been too much for little pink balloon baby head, since Super Buu with many warriors absorbed is the second most powerful villain in the franchise, only second to Beerus, the God of Destruction.

Are you sure? That was a dub error as what I heard, even though IF kid buu is stronger, superbuu is way smarter than all buus (maybe except gray buu). If super buu is weaker he can easily outsmart kid buu and fat buu. He has the same kind of regenerative ability as kid buu. He can be almost on par with piccolo with his smart strategies. ( He only absorbed piccolo so he can outsmart gohan in battle and gotenks to be stronger than gohan ofcourse)
I don't think kid buu is weaker then super i mean super is more intelligent but when he became kid buu he rapidly destroyed planet after planet but also when he first started absorbing it was the kai's and each one made him weaker and weaker until he was the fat buu then when he absorbed the z fighters the increased his power until he was back at full power

resistance:buu is playdoo with a heal factor that puts deadpool to shame, kirby took a planet bursthing explotion to the face BUT so does MOST of the dragon ball z warrior AFTHER the namek saga (esensialy 2 to 4 seasons BEFORE buu)
copy ability:kirby can absorb 1 oponent at the time and lost it after 1 hit, buu can absorb MULTIPLE people and keep everithing simultaneusly, AND the only way to make them "lose that" would be "get inside his "brain/counciusness" and remove te people inside but there is a "time limit" before they become part of buu permanently.

Incorrect on all accounts. Death battle got SSJ3 Goku's strength INCREDIBLY wrong. In Battle of the Gods, Goku punched King Kai's planet so hard he created a hole through it. This planet has the density of more than a white dwarf star. Goku picked up and THREW an entire cube of Katchin metal, which Supreme Kai stated to be the densest metal in the universe. More dense than even a neutron star. A cube of that size would weigh more than the moon. Goku threw it like it was nothing.
Goku was moving faster than light as a child. He outran a solar flare attack. Buu was keeping up with SSJ3 Goku, proving Buu is also faster than light.

In America, yes. But DBZ had been out for a long time before that, and Goku had already thrown the Katchin metal.
The movie came out in Japan in March, the Death Battle was in January. They would've used Super Saiyan God if it was released before they made the Death Battle.
Regardless, DBZ had been out for a long time already, including the other feats I listed. It was just shoddy research work. Goku was much faster and much stronger than they showed, and Buu kept up with him and almost defeated him.

The speed thing is the only issue I've ever had with every Death Battle involving a DBZ Character. They have been able to move faster then the speed of light since they fought Radiz in season 1. Radiz dodged Piccolo's special beam cannon which moves as fast as light. Radiz is the weakest character in Freeza's army therefor, he's the slowest. The infamous 5 minute Freeza fight was literally 5 minutes long in normal time. The reason why it's shown in several episodes is because they are moving so fast that we wouldn't be able to see them in normal time. Time was slowed so we could see the fight, and the fights are getting faster and faster every time. By the time kid buu and Goku where fighting, they were going so fast that even most DBZ charecters wouldn't be able to see the fight. So Kirby's pop-star moving at speeds Buu has never had to deal with before is completely wrong. Buu would probably be seeing Kirby moving in slow motion. Otherwise, I can agree with most aspects of the outcome. I'm sorry if that seemed a little ranty, but that's been bothering me since the Vegeta VS Shadow fight.
either way, by the time buu was introduced, they were still light-years faster then the speed of light. Don't get me wrong, I love Kirby, the speed thing has just been bothering me lately.

I feel obligated to mention that shows like Kirby and Sonic and whatnot are just trying to be massively impressive to kids by having undefined but "unlimited" powers, while as real franchises have build-up and more defined limits and abilities. Feeling bad that a franchise loses to these kids shows is pointless as they are completely random and undefined so we can only assume they are immortal killing machines of infinite power.
Immediately going against what I just said though, I understand how Kirby won in the video, but couldn't buu have just absorbed kirby? Also, Kirby has never been show being cut before either and his fighting mastery is likely equal or below buu's own abilities as he is in the DBZ universe. Lastly, Kirby is repeatedly hit by a roughly 20 ton rock over and over without taking damage is not really a good way of saying he is tougher than buu, buu would hit alot harder than 20 tons of rock, and it would be on a smaller point of impact. I'm not saying Kirby couldn't win, it just seems more likely that Buu would win at least half of their fights.
Buu Speed < or equal to Kirby Speed (This is only assuming Kirby is able to stay on his star)
Buu Power > than Kirby Power
Buu durability > or equal to Kirby durability (As his durability was only shown by being hit with some rocks, not mountain crushing fists, and most DBZ characters can easily survive planet destroying hits, as they have been in use since the saiyan saga)
Buu Absorb traps > Kirby Absorb (Buu never even got to try setting up an absorb trap like he did on Gohan, why?)
Buu Reflect < Kirby Reflect (Kirby would be able to reflect and potentially kill Buu with his reflect as shown in video but there would be scenarios where buu is able to obliterate Kirby or just beat him to death as he is shown to have unlimited stamina)
End Statement: Buu wins 60% of fights, Kirby wins 40% of fights.

You don't want the word bias thrown in here. You can censor me like. It's your channel, but this can't be real. Screw Attack is practically saying that Kirby can beat anyone in DBZ. It now makes sense why Goku didn't stand a chance against Superman.
Vegeta did beat shadow and that was the first time they used a DBZ character. However, most people who think Kirby is weak and stood no chance against Boo should look up the games and villains Kirby has fought and the feats he has done.
If they had they would see why Kirby is not only a powerhouse, but in terms of OP is would be up in superman's terms of OP.
***** The same could be said of most DBZ fans who not only commented on the fight but made rants with no knowledge on Kirby.
Heck going through half of the angry rants there are some people who even admitted they didn't know Kirby could do that.
But what is really funny is that those same angry ranters who know that screwattack got the information wrong on Boo assumed that the information on Kirby was accurate when they know themselves that screwattack is infamous on getting the facts wrong on certain characters.
For example in screw attack's info on kirby they said Kirby fastest speed without the warp star was him being able to run on water. However, in both return to dreamland and Kirby and milky way wishes we see Kirby when fighting the final bosses having the ability to outrun the blackhole attacks that both Magolor and Marx make to suck Kirby up. With Blackholes their pull is so strong that nothing can escape them not even light yet Kirby can outrun black holes without his warp star.
So we go from Kirby being fast enough to outrun blackholes to being just fast enough to run on water? I don't know about you but that is a massive and I mean massive nerf in speed on Kirby's end.
They did the same nerf with Boo in not only removing all of his other forms besides fat and kid boo, but also when they nerfed his speed as well.
While we don't know exactly how much faster than light boo is in each of his forms we know he can move faster than light under the rules of feats that is engraved in the DBZ universe.
I could go on but I won't.

Rewatch the part when Goku and Vegeta remove Good Buu from Super Buu. They STATE that
"What? His power should be decreasing, not increasing!" So. Power levels may be bullsh*t, but they tell us one thing: if your power level goes up, you're getting stronger.

Then you still can't say that he was growing more powerful. For all we know, he could've been staying at the same power. However, more out of control probably means that he could use more of his full power.
The reason Rogue had Ms. Marvel's powers is because she permanently obtained them in an event that took place even before her debut in the comics. Buu absorbed those people during his showing in DBZ and eventually had them basically cut out and removed from his insides.
