While I do agree with the victor, the one part they got so wrong it’s painful is when they said that Buu has never had to face against light speed before, which I found so odd that they keep trying to nerf DBZ characters to make sure they lose.
Highwind Rider How so? I don’t count the small clip versions, and I’m counting 6 DBZ Death Battle appearances: 1) Vegeta vs Shadow (Vegeta victory) 2) Goku vs Superman (Superman victory) 3) Goku vs Superman 2 (Superman victory) 4) Kirby vs Majin Buu (Kirby victory) 5) Android 18 vs Captain Marvel (A18 victory) 6) Hercule vs Dan Hibiki (Hercule victory) So it’s 3 for 3. I didn’t say that every single DBZ contestant loses, but that in all but those last 2 (Kirby v Buu & Hercule v Dan) The DBZ contestant is nerfed exponentially. In the Vegeta v Shadow fight, Shadow shouldn’t have even had time to bring out the chais emeralds, Vegeta has much more strength and speed than Shadow has ever had to deal with. In the 18 v Captain Marvel fight, again Captain Marvel shouldn’t have been able to react or respond to the sheer speed and strength of 18. Both of these fights DID end up in favor of the DBZ fighters but they nerfed them heavily to drag out the fight for entertainment purposes. And finally, Goku v Superman 1 and 2. In both ones, the fight is so heavily in Goku’s favor that they have to nerf him to the point where they make his base form only as strong as at the start of DBZ and then stack the 4000x transformation multipliers. They don’t account for his body’s natural progression in each fight he’s had, as well as his training in the gravity chamber and the Room of Spirit and Time... for example, he’d trained so well with Gohan that taking on the Ssj transformation came so easily that they had no stamina drain. On top of that, he was able to fend off swings from Supee Saiyan Trunks with just one finger, along with several other feats that indicate that Goku progresses all of his forms very quickly. In the first bout, Goku should’ve been able to transform, use instant transmission and deliver a killing blow to Superman before he could respond. And yes. I literally just said that Goku could/should be able to one shot Superman. Superman does have a limitation outside of Kryptonite and magic - he’s limited by momentum. Every feat under his belt required him to start moving fir either speed or strength. Part 2 would be a little bit trickier for Goku to pull off a one shot since it’s presumed they know each other now from the first part. But Goku could methodically break Superman’s bones and then disintegrate him, Goku is commonly shown fighting people at speeds significantly faster than light, whereas when Superman encounters people like that (Flash and Wonder Woman) he consistently has a hard time since he cannot keep up with their attacks. So if you combine that level of combat speed with the strength at Goku’s disposal - and in part 2 he has access to Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue, both of which are universal to multiversal as shown when connecting fists with Beerus shook the main universe, Hell and the Afterlife/Supreme Kai’s world, all of which are universal in scale and would have destroyed all of them if they had continued to clash... AND both of them were holding back heavily to try to prevent that from happening. The point I’m trying to make is that using the phrase (Superman doesn’t have limits but Goku does) is pretty much irrelevant when talking about a man who has literal teleportation, fights at speed comparable to the Flash, and hits with strength that could shatter multiple universes if unleashed at full capacity. The only characters in Goku’s universe who can stop him are ones with access to Ultra Instinct and 4th dimensional beings. So 4th dimensional interpretations of Superman would beat Goku, but only because of 4th dimensional abilities, not because of a higher physical strength level. The only part of either of these episodes that I agree with is that Goku and Superman are not the kind of characters that should even BE in Death Battle (unless pitted against each other). Goku is way to monstrous for any physical bout, and Superman’s limitless potential is way too hard for just about anybody else to overcome who isn’t 4th dimensional. And at that point Death Battles aren’t really fun, because 4th dimensional battles focus on who has better control over space, time and reality.
I think I need to start laying out more specifics when I ask a question in a vid. 😃 We all know Buu fell asleep, and that's why he missed the tournament; I thought that was a given. What I was asking is, I had heard that they had him fall asleep because having him involved would have made Universe 7 too powerful. I was just wondering if any of you guys had any knowledge about that and if it was true or not.
It's because of the manga they learned Frieza was going to be in it not buu so they removed him and put in Frieza instead so the whole buu thing is a filler i do believe
The first time around he fell asleep i couldn't tell you that was in the manga but the second time for the tournament of power seems to be not a thing from what people have told me i need to watch the DBS manga reviews been meaning to but life happens 😅
@@Black_ReaperKai why does everyone always say it's filler. There is no "filler" in the dbs anime it's separate from the manga and was created before the manga was even started. The manga is it's own adaptation but both the anime and manga are canon in their own rights. They just have differences in their stories.
Kid Buu kinda tag-teamed with Fat Buu halfway through the fight, so Fat Buu might still be alive within Kirby somewhere. Afterall, Kid Buu only made Fat Buu explode, he didn't absorb him ^^
Its also a fight that could have gone either way and been really interesting (a rarity among most episodes, usually just one) that was dumbed down to "GET IT THEY BREAK THE 4TH WALL, SO THEY BREAK THE RULES XDDDDDD" None of the other joke matches did this, even Justin Bieber Vs. Rebecca Black had an explanation. I get why it has its appeal, but these facets of the episode really drag it down for me. The best ending for an episode will always be "Pokémon Vs. Digimon" (why did they call it that, it sounds like it'd be an all out war between each side, which would've been way better). The fight's ending almost made me cry even though it made sense. The explanation was on point too.
I actually forgot who won this but I could argue if Buu were really losing he could have tried to absorb Kirby like he did Gotenks, might not have worked out but that's my only idea.
So Mai boi Curtis Majin Buu wasn't in Super all that much because Beerus slaped him when Buu challenged him and slept through all the tournys they set him in
So I have to go to patreon to watch your naruto videos that got copyrighted ? I’ve been binge watching your naruto series and some of the best episodes are missing😢
Im fine with kirby wining, but in the video dont they say "Kirby's star moves at light speed, and buu has never had to deal with a foe of that speed." Dragonball characters have been light speed since the begining of Z, when piccolo destroys the moon. And by the time they get to the buu arc they are close to hundreds of times faster than that especially considering goku is stronger then piccolo and he goes super sayain 3 vs buu. And since thats 400 times his base, he is at minimum 400 times faster than light. Like i said im fine with kirby winning im just saying that statement is false.
Yes Boo fought a warrior who could move faster light speed. However Goku didn't achieve light speed until the Android saga. Goku reaches light speed when his power level hits 300.608 million, or SSJ2. At SSJ3 he is faster than light, but he can only maintain the form for a small amount of time.
@@dalmarampere6637 Um no, characters in dragon ball have been light speed since the beginning on z. Piccolos feat of blowing up the moon in around 3 seconds, is at worst relativistic to light speed. And Goku was stronger than him. Then after training with King Kai against Vegeta he uses kaioken x3. Which would at worst put him slightly faster then light, around the saiyan saga. Then he gets super saiyan at Namek which is a 50x increase, putting him at around much faster than light. Then by the android saga they can go super saiyan grade 2 which isn't confirmed but speculated to be around a 3x power increase from what i've found. Case in point by the android saga they are waaaaaaay faster than light. Not just reaching it. I suggest SethTheProgrammer, i don't agree with some of the things he says but he is very knowledgeable when it comes to dragon ball, and uses many guides and sources to come up with his power scaling.
One thing they messed up on is that they placed Buu's durability as being lower than Kirby's. While Kirby is insanely tough, Buu is his equal in rhis department, because you either kill him or you hardly phase him.
The funny thing about this battle is that Buu can only be killed by 2 methods. 1. Spirit Bomb (which is an attack designed to destroy evil beings); 2. Hakai (which is a move used by the Gods of Destruction which erases anyone from existence). Other methods are useless, and will only result in Buu regenerating after destroyed. He could theoretically also be contained using the Mafuba which is a technique that seals the opponent forever in a containment. Regardless of how strong Kirby is, he really has no way of defeating Buu. Also, when he fought Vegito he got so enraged he was literally tearing reality apart, almost destroying the whole universe in the process. This battle is bull.
DB's really bad at picking a cannon for this stuff. Prime example; game kirby would win vs pretty much any version of main seires buu pre-super, cartoon kirby would be absolutely destroyed by any iteration of buu, and outer-lore buu (DBO, DBH, etc.) beats every kirby. It really depends on what you use.
@@bigpurplepops But does them using both really matter? It's not like show kirby and game kirby have any huge differences like using other versions of superman
Buu was kicked out due to falling asleep, again, and buu is really weak compared to current characters in super, his only real benefit is his regeneration and durability
Don't feel bad Kurtis, they had a match between Cloud and Link that I still don't agree with, ( because one character got to keep all his power ups, and the other didn't )still DB matches are always cool.
21:19 Wait, can't raditz move at the speed of light since piccolo states that he's moving at the speed of light Plus kid goku moved so fast that he was invisible (therefore the speed of light) Meaning that buu is just under 400 times faster than the speed of light (assuming that super sayin multipliers work the same way as the kaio-ken multiplier and asumiming that goku could only match the speed of light in base form (raditz died to a 5500 power special beam cannon) Plus if roshi can destroy the moon then buu could of easily yeeted Kirby into the sun
also sorry kirby won PUYO~! also kirby used hadouken and shoryuuken from street fighter :D and im amazed he didnt even use the galaxy sword. but sorry kirby is a ELIMINATOR OF EVIL and cannot be killed by any form of evil.
when it came to the entire Superman vs Goku thing they didn't do it legit. They made Batman win purely piss everyone off. Superman's most powerful ability is to turn himself essentially into a nuclear bomb. in DBZ someone with the powerlevel of 9000 can destroy the planet, as can be seen from Vegeta's first appearance. Now Goku alone is like power level 1,000,000 or something, it doesn't say specifically what his current level is.
@Highwind Rider Still doesn't help when everyone of the DBZ villains can fight people that can destroy entire fucking planets with a flick of their pinkie.
Buu 'hibernates' for months at a time and didnt wake up for the tournament. In reality they probably left him out to give Roshi a spot since he hasnt had much shine in recent years.
Buu: destroys stars, planets and over time, galaxies. Doesn't give a damn about his body cause he can just regenerate from all the damage, like when he blew up Earth. Deathbattle: sure, but bullets tho...
Well, the bullets show that his body defense wise is pretty weak. Yeah, he can Regen, but he gets ripped apart easy. Kirby's pretty damn durable to compare.
@@ultimateblade4127 Yeah, I guess so. But come on. Buu sits in the middle of exploding planets and stars and throwing him into the SUN is what kills him??
@@ultimateblade4127 well, they mention durability, but since Buu isn't extremely durable like Kirby is, he makes up for it in regeneration. It would probably be more about endurance, see who can last longer. Kirby is very tough, but the only thing that could destroy Buu originally was the Spirit Bomb, which is an attack meant to destroy evil, like Buu. Does Kirby have a healing factor? If he does, I probably missed it.
I don't think Majin Buu would've been too powerful for the tournament of power. There was a character who had a similar body style named 'Maji Kayo' who was one hit by a casual Jirin. Buu would've likely met the same fate.
I know that... What I meant was, I had heard that they had him fall asleep because his abilities would have made the tournament difficult to write without Universe 7 being too powerful.
@@reiji3546 Oh, that could be... I was wondering if what I had heard was true or not... Wanting to grab some more Frieza merchandising dollars makes more sense.
@@SpazBoysComedy Universe 3 had Maji Kayo, the blue slime-like character similiar to Buu and he got bitchslapped by Jiren so it's not like being overpowered was the issue in their writing. Toei is all about marketing and the money.
DB's really bad at picking a cannon for this stuff. Prime example; game kirby would win vs pretty much any version of main seires buu pre-super, cartoon kirby would be absolutely destroyed by any iteration of buu, and a good amount of different outer-lore buus (DBO, DBH, etc.) could easily beat every kirby. It really depends on what you use.
P.s. I'm well aware of the way kirby cannon works, but if you don't separate different versions, then kirby's barely able to run fast enough to cross water, needs a gun and can't survive low-grade explosives.
Nope deadliest villain goes to cell just think about it he copied techs. And power forms like super or kaioken just think if he learned golden mode from freezas cells or red and blue like saiyans might get a resurrection arc like freeza did.
Death battle is infamous for questionable results in the death battles, be it lack of research or misinformation, so this could possibly be one of those cases.
@@aredjayc2858 Kirby has tanked attacks from multidimensional eldritch montrosities, among them a supercomputer that is capable of destroying the entire universe with its strongest attack, as well as withstood black holes. Kirby's durability is just ridiculous, and he has had enough power to destroy monsters who can casually warp reality on a galactic scale to their whim, with more insane feats than buu that are often overlooked because of the games' cutesy cartoonish style.

I know he isn't a villain now. But he was the antagonist to come after Buu, and could probably outdo the majin no problem.
Still..you said villain. Not antagonist.
And Beerus can at least be reasoned with to an extent.
Kid Buu cannot. Beerus may be a lot more powerful though Buu's more dangerous and far more deadly.

Dragon Ball fans seem to have a thing with underestimating Kirby. The dude defeated Marx, someone who has destroyed an entire dimensions and can summon black holes like it’s nothing. Buu didn’t have a chance from the start.
You would be incorrect. The only way Kirby beats Buu, is if you use inconsistent standards to scale them. But if you use consistent standards, Buu is significantly more powerful. If you don't believe me, feel free to explain how powerful Kirby is, and include your reasoning for scaling. I will then use the exact same standards you are using to scale Kirby, and it will result in Buu being more powerful then Kirby.
Sorry man, but Kirby was always clearly superior. Buu was just another bad guy to be (eventually) defeated.
@Fireball Dragon so does Mario, Link, Sonic, etc.
@Fireball Dragon trust logic and science over "gameplay."
Kirby slays gods on a daily basis, Buu never stood a chance.
Kirby is fodder
Anthony Thompson 1173 people underestimate Kirby. If they played or watched gameplay of the games they would see just how powerful Kirby’s enemies get.

Boo is like Solar System tier, maybe Multi-Solar System level with Anime feats.
Kirby was hit with the same shockwaves that destroyed a far away galaxy, and reached all the way to where he was, and it literally did nothing to him. A wanked majin Buu is galaxy level while a wanked Kirby is Universal. Not to mention all of Kirby's hax that would probably oneshot buu by ignoring durability, and keep him alive via resurrecting from a ghost willingly. You can't put Kirby down very easily even when you're stronger than him.
Buu gets ripped to shreds
@@ShimmerScarlet I can easily get Buu to universal
To be entirely fair, ScrewAttack DID *_massively_* undersell Kirby, even with the win. He takes down monsters that could squash Beerus practically weekly.
www.deviantart.com/fastsword88/art/Kirby-VS-Majin-Buu-DEATH-BATTLE-Explanation-Time-548360680
While I do agree with the victor, the one part they got so wrong it’s painful is when they said that Buu has never had to face against light speed before, which I found so odd that they keep trying to nerf DBZ characters to make sure they lose.
Highwind Rider How so? I don’t count the small clip versions, and I’m counting 6 DBZ Death Battle appearances:
1) Vegeta vs Shadow (Vegeta victory)
2) Goku vs Superman (Superman victory)
3) Goku vs Superman 2 (Superman victory)
4) Kirby vs Majin Buu (Kirby victory)
5) Android 18 vs Captain Marvel (A18 victory)
6) Hercule vs Dan Hibiki (Hercule victory)
So it’s 3 for 3.
I'm Happy Kirby Won!
GG For All The People Who Rooted For Buu Though.
Ah, okay... I was wondering if there was any truth to the "Buu is too OP" thing.
That's if you got to the tournament of power that is
The first time around he fell asleep i couldn't tell you that was in the manga but the second time for the tournament of power seems to be not a thing from what people have told me i need to watch the DBS manga reviews been meaning to but life happens 😅

It is the best Death Battle ever
Agreed. Love it. Best ending ever.
Please watch:
Toph vs Gaara

Im fine with kirby wining, but in the video dont they say "Kirby's star moves at light speed, and buu has never had to deal with a foe of that speed." Dragonball characters have been light speed since the begining of Z, when piccolo destroys the moon. And by the time they get to the buu arc they are close to hundreds of times faster than that especially considering goku is stronger then piccolo and he goes super sayain 3 vs buu. And since thats 400 times his base, he is at minimum 400 times faster than light. Like i said im fine with kirby winning im just saying that statement is false.
My other problem is that didn't use Base Super Buu. -_-
@@EternalStorm796 I think They used fat buu casue its the more well known one, but yeah i see your point.
@@XenithKain They used Fat Buu and Kid Buu. Super Buu still should be been used.
@@dalmarampere6637
Um no, characters in dragon ball have been light speed since the beginning on z.

Your reactions are awesome
kirby is a god of destruction easy to convince to help villains and can't be killed
One thing they messed up on is that they placed Buu's durability as being lower than Kirby's. While Kirby is insanely tough, Buu is his equal in rhis department, because you either kill him or you hardly phase him.
God I haven’t watched your videos in so long. Where’s spaz kid now? Is he graduated and out of the house now?
The funny thing about this battle is that Buu can only be killed by 2 methods.
1. Spirit Bomb (which is an attack designed to destroy evil beings);
The Star Rod literally destroys evil beings.
Star rod kills him, it killed an immortal being because it was evil. Literarly the same thing happens here.
the people that say buu should have won have obviously never even watched or played a kirby game or even seen the cartoon
Hey curtis, DeathBattle is on VRV, AD free. In case you wanted to watch other battles.
They rectified that with a rematch. Nothing that Link has ever faced comes even close to the pure amount of bullshit that Sephiroth is.
Chuck Norris Vs. Segata Sanshiro, Iron Man vs. Lex Luthor, and the 100th Episode Mario vs. Sonic Rematch are other Death Battles I highly recommend.
21:19
Wait, can't raditz move at the speed of light since piccolo states that he's moving at the speed of light
Plus kid goku moved so fast that he was invisible (therefore the speed of light)
Meaning that buu is just under 400 times faster than the speed of light (assuming that super sayin multipliers work the same way as the kaio-ken multiplier and asumiming that goku could only match the speed of light in base form (raditz died to a 5500 power special beam cannon)
Plus if roshi can destroy the moon then buu could of easily yeeted Kirby into the sun
Problem Kirby regular fights master and crazy hand in his game plus a few others the multiversal

Buu is galaxy level at the time Kirby is universal to multiversal in power
when it came to the entire Superman vs Goku thing they didn't do it legit.

Buu: destroys stars, planets and over time, galaxies. Doesn't give a damn about his body cause he can just regenerate from all the damage, like when he blew up Earth.

Well, the bullets show that his body defense wise is pretty weak. Yeah, he can Regen, but he gets ripped apart easy. Kirby's pretty damn durable to compare.

@@ultimateblade4127 well, they mention durability, but since Buu isn't extremely durable like Kirby is, he makes up for it in regeneration. @@RaxynVA Nah, Kirby's just stupidly durable. Survived a planet exploding and stuff like that.
I don't think Majin Buu would've been too powerful for the tournament of power. There was a character who had a similar body style named 'Maji Kayo' who was one hit by a casual Jirin. Buu would've likely met the same fate.
But buu can constantly heal his team.
Buu wasn't in the tournament of power because he fell asleep
