One of the best shoes that I've ever purchased in my entire life. I also wear them to work on casual Fridays and I've always gotten compliments.

Oscar I saw this and your other video on Sawyer ... Very less creators go into these details and after this much use. I hope you stay on RUclips and your subscribers grow even more than you want.

They're designed as trail running shoes, not for long-distance hiking with a backpack, so really, it's a bit unfair to review them as hiking shoes. I use them for rough-terrain trail running, and I am on about my 6th pair of Decathlon shoes. They all last about 500km before being ripped to bits, but try something like a Hoka which doesn't last and costs 3x as much, so really for the price, its excellent value

I'm now hiking through my second pair of these trail runners. I tried something from Merrell in between, but they weren't nearly as good as these. For the price, they're a really solid option!

Pretty informative sharing my friend! Lot of love and respect from a solo mountain hiker from the Lower Chitral District of Pakistan!

Those shoes are my go to everyday walking shoes, and I am on the 4th pair. They have a quite wide toe box, which I need. For me a pair easily lasts 1000-1200kilometers. One trick is that because for my taste the sole of the shoe is too flexible, I use it with quality Superset or Sofsole insoles.

Thanks, I was looking for a good review for these shoes, exactly for the same purpose, walking in all terrain, not running. The info you gave me was very helpful. Kudos to you and your girl :)

Well, these shoes are made for running mountains but I'm using them also for hiking and sometimes for running on flat in city. I have no idea why his look soo done. Mine after about 1300 km x3 looking much better :D The mountains visited are Karkonosze, Góry Izerskie, Bieszczady, Kotlina Kłodzka, Góry Sowie and a lot of running and hiking around. Many times wet, drying on the feet... There is soo many different opinions about this shoes that one must try them I think, and see for itself.

I hiked several Caminos (500+ km) in Spain with these shoes and I totally recommend buying them!

I'm going through my second pair now. 🙂 Bought Merrel trail runners in between to try something new, and they were far from these, so I got a second pair

I'm using those in spring/fall as everyday shoes. I noticed the thread wears down pretty fast. Otherwise they are pretty good bang4buck. BUT there were shoes that were sold in Decathlon that lasted me about 10 years 3 season everyday use. Tecnika low hiking sues. I still use them for yardwork. Thread is completely gone and one has a tear but damn are they good. Amazing shoes. For instance Keen low hiking shoes lasted me only 2 years and after that were completely unusable. Edit: Found the model: "Tecnica Men's Brezza II Trail Hiker". Probably not sold anymore.

thanks for the info! we have these in Colombia at the Decathlon stores but i was skeptical to drop 160.000 COP on an unknown shoe (have owned many pairs of Altra's and those are my go to for hiking)

Why didn't you go for Hiking or Trekking shoes like MH500 or MT100? These are trail runners and are not the best for hiking imo.

Trail runners are superior in every way for 3 season hiking compared to traditional hiking shoes or boots

These shoes have a little pouch on the tongue to tuck the laces into, so that they never become loose.

  • @BushcraftEurope

How did you fit your shoe? I have 42 and 42.5 options. Tried both, none is loose and had little thicker socks and not sure which to take

    • @witoldgruzowty
      @witoldgruzowty Год назад +1

Always take bigger especially in the mountains. You should have about 1cm of slack at the toe. Tie the shoe on a shrunken foot, so that the laces do not tighten too much, but the shoe is stable. Shoes that are too small will give you the effect you see in the video, and you will probably lose the lower lace fastenings. This model is comfortable and quite soft, it fits the foot nicely, but I suppose that if they did not have a reinforced front then the toes would make holes. He is probably right in saying that the socks did the job ;)

@@witoldgruzowty tnx man. I would get this bigger one anyway as when I tried it first thing was simulating downhill walking as there is most stress that you can feel right away. Tried new cousioned version also but I like regular ones more. Felt more grippy and feeling ground more which is more important for me. Also smaller number seemed too tight anyway
