crazyalcayne I saw you in another one of your videos riding in the streets, and it reminded me when I was a kid riding throughout Baltimore! I’m looking into getting in the sport, and I’ll be riding in the streets again to get my practice on( as well as the track of course)! Appreciate u bro
Anywhere in the country you go this age class is full of riders who were experts and pros back in the 70's & 80's and grew up snapping out of gates before they could tie their shoes (we wore Vans slip ons back then).
Im 42 and ride Bmx almost 32 years. Still have my Gt Pro Serie from 1992 Age is not a problem if you ride many years. Problem is if you start already in old age.
Join your local club. I started last september at 39, riding mostly alongside the kids on training nights, but have met more adults riding in different clubs.. We race too! They are out there so get going and inspire more people to do it. My biggest problem is finding adult ladys to race.. There are mostly men, so Ill have to race in the mens untill I get more ladys going!!
Good Times. A lot of UK tracks have been bulldozed. I can see the sport coming back. A few tracks have been updated and things are looking good for the future. I hope and pray for new tracks.
crazyalcayne They flattened loads of them about 20 years ago. I guess it was something to do the mountain bikes becoming fashionable and the blame/sue culture from retards hurting themselves on the tracks. I do think bmx racing is rising in popularity again though.
@@oliverstanden5478 Four year later up date. I've spotted quite a few new bmx track sand old ones that were saved near where i live. I think since teh resurgence of skateparks for scooters theres been a push to revamp the old bmx tracks too. I'm just getting back into it (24" and 26" bmx !) so looking ti give riding on a few track a go for teh first time this year (never got the chance first time round!)
That's not really such a big age span; I'm 46 and in order to make a class, my local track frequently ends up with a 36 and over category with guys ranging from late-30s to mid-50s. The really big ranges are when they run free open classes. The last time they did that, I found myself racing a 15 Ex, 17 Ex, 23 Ex, and 38 Ex.
This so cool. I would love to see us old dudes on an old school track.
Old man checking in....RESPECT FROM THE WEST COAST!
Mad respect for all 3 of these guys! Racing definitely looks fun!
Word, So much fun!

True but it's awesome to see people doing it for the first time at an older age.
@@crazyalcayne important to have fun and not to sit at home when you grow old
Im 47, and ive always wanted to race on a track. How does a person get prepared for this especially at my age?

Randy Laudner FL baby
Did some racing in my youth
Went with my kids to the local club and got the itch at 47!
But I am 6”6’, any bike suggestions?
Apologies for being super late with the reply but definitely get a XXXL size bike. 22inch top tube or better. Some BMX frames even goto 23in top tube.

Oliver Standen Oh wow I thought BMX was big in the UK. Why are they bulldozing tracks out there?

How long you been racing? I’m definitely thinking about getting into the sport!
I got out of breath watching.
LOL!!
Whahaha...ok.. I'm 55 and coming out of retirement... Watch out...
If they would bring back the lights there would be less gate accidents
They're not using the lights that you see at 1:57? Weird.
