What kind of fabric was used for the backing and border? Flannel? Did you turn under the inside border by 1/4” after you slid the printed fabric inside the border?

Yes. I used flannel for both sides. You can also use minky for the back if you want. One I did fold under about 1/4” but you can also use a zig zag or applique stitch too.
