Tales of the Abyss: Asch vs. Legretta

I don't play Asch often but he is so fun. It's nice to have the full kit of a melee character while still being able to do my usual caster stuff lol.

Asch is always fun to see in action, in part because his presence is so limited in the regular game, so seeing his kit used elsewhere is always a treat!

I always wished that there was an option to save Asch in NG+ or something since he's pretty much the best character in the game...

Man, seeing Stalagmite catch OVL blowback makes Luke having no spells sting all the more…
Also, I’m pretty sure your game is bugged. For some reason Shadow Fury is comboing?

Yeah I really wish they let Luke learn spells since Asch is just straight up better than him :(
Also, Legretta happens to be one of the enemies where Swallow/Shadow Fury works consistently lmao.

I also think that's an intentional choice for the story (Luke being a replica and all) also shows despite how similar they are, they are their own individuals (even if it makes Luke worse in gameplay) I still love him lol

The cancelling of your Fonic Artes to increase your combos makes it look like some scuffed fighting game.

Haha yeah. Tales games are definitely inspired by fighting games although you have to unlock a lot of stuff to get the games to that level.

I'm using a cheat code to play as Asch. He is a playable character though.
