I am a first-time buyer. I got an email that says I am on step 2 (transfer to: My local FFL). How long does it usually take to move on to certify? Am I waiting for my NFA item to be shipped to my local FFL or is my local shop supposed to click something to move the process on?

Your silencer is being physically transferred to your ffl(form 3) usually only takes a couple of days. SS will let you know when their part is completed and that you should certify. Sometimes it can take them 2 weeks to a month.

Yes, ATF made a 90-day commitment, but lately that hasn't come to fruition. But wait times are trending down currently!

Took me 11 months, no joke my friend just got his back in 60 days. Both through SS, only difference, mine was a trust and his was individual.

Yeah the ATF is worthless. I’m going on almost a year for one suppressor. I am going on six months for a form one. I am going on eight months for a 30 Cal titanium and I’m on four months for huxwrks flo ti. There’s no consistency at all. I built a rifle and spent close to $4500 and I’m waiting for this form one to come back so I can shoot it. I have it sitting apart in my safe I bought a Daniel defense DDM4ISR. Came back in five months. I was optimistic at first. I’m hoping they batch everything at once.
