We're kicking off the new channel by taking a look at Ben's entire game collection. He has been collecting for over 16 years and has amassed a collection of over 11,500 physical games ranging from the classics like the Atari 2600, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), the 16-bit era with the Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo, the crazy huge libraries of the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2, all the way to current stuff like the Nintendo Switch!

I understand collecting good games but i dont understand why people buy awful games just to have them. Just takes up space and youll never play them.

Same reason people buy figures and never play with them or cards. People like to collect.
@darkrain83 not a great example becusse generally people buy figures that they at least like the look of. I collect games and figures too but I wouldn't buy a horrible ugly figure that I hate just to have it. It's not my money so I don't really care it's just kinda stupid to buy something that objectively sucks.

I have to agree about the Nintendo Switch! Not a collector but I have around 50 switch games. The ports, remasters, remakes and the current games are all great and the fact it’s portable fits my lifestyle the best.
Oh yeah, I didn’t even mention its portability! If someone would have told me like ten years ago that there would be a portable console that I could play Mario Sunshine, Resident Evil, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, and Windjammers all on one console I’d say they’re lying.

I gotta say you did a great job with this video I really love video game collecting (not only because it’s fun) but also there’s a story to them!
Sometimes it can be awesome like how I got my copy of metal slug on sega Saturn!
And other times it can be weird creepy and disturbing like how I got my copy of the salamander deluxe pack plus on the sega Saturn!
Well now I gotta hear what was disturbing about getting that game! Spill the beans!

Well I was house sitting for my family!
It was going fine I saw a weird movie called “kinds of kindness!”
Then I went to go to work and (I usually start the trash walk) and the security people warned me about that there was a weird guy in his underwear!
Then a few days later I usually let my dog outside in the backyard to use the restroom (he escaped the backyard) so I had to call my parents about it!
Very scary week!
Gonna have those weird memories connected to that game for the rest of your life haha

Whoa Whoa Horsey,,,, You have to show that entire game room. It looks absolutely awesome. You dont have to do every game one by one but please brother, show the entire thing all the corners and what you have. Share you stories and how you set things up. Who cares if its clean or not, who cares if its perfect... This is my type of room, you can tell that you actually play and have fun here. Congrats great video.
I’ll probably do a follow up early next year, since by then the collection will have grown. Anything in particular you’d like to see in a follow up video?
This is something I have always wondered. I work a regular 9 to 5, 5 days a week, married, no kids but one dog and a huge turtle. I don't find enough time to play games. I have a backlog of I would say about 100 games that I truly feel like I will enjoy. My question is how does a man with a game library so big like that deal with his backlog?
I dealt with it by making a RUclips channel and forcing my pals to come play through them with me, haha
@@WeAreBestPals haha yup. But even then I feel like some games, especially the horrible majority of NES games are very time consuming due to difficulty and lack of saves. Some people never manage to beat the hardest ones in a lifetime. Do you focus on playing them just for playing them? or do you make it your mission to actually pass the games?
@nostalgicMUTANT it really depends on the game, everything starts as a first impression and goes from there. Some stuff we’ll probably only ever play for an hour and never touch it again, some stuff we’ll spend days playing. It’s all on a per-game basis
Hmm, in my case the Steam Deck offered me the option to play again more of the old stuff, when and where I want.
There you have also a save game option trough the emulators.
Yeah, it’s hard to fit game timing. Specially when you have kids I have one 10-year-old son. I try to get him to play my games, but he rather just play the iPad. Meanwhile, I have probably thousands of PlayStation and Xbox games, including a bunch of arcade, one ups, etc., he does like playing the Star Wars game for arcade one up though at least thank God my work week is pretty easy as I own my own business and since my son was born put manages in place so I don’t have to work much and I don’t have that much time at least have some time Most of my friends have kids their wife have them busy seven days a week one of them don’t even have enough time to read a comic book a week. Another one has to ask permission to buy one comic book a week. At least I have it better than that I could borrow whatever Torres I want anyone interested in any of my crazy things just come to my channel. I will be hosting regular shows with all my gadgets and doing monthly free giveaways just because come check it out.
I love this entire collection, 100%, all of it, just, everything about it makes me happy, Even got a VeggieTales game, like, wut son, I grew up on VeggieTales 😂

1000 games is a great collection! That gold box is the limited edition version of Zone of the Enders: HD Collection!

Bro I’ve got a lil over 300 games and I’ve started to tell myself to chill out😂 it’s 90% PlayStation and Xbox titles. I have no idea how you’ve managed to get a collecting like this, but props to you. 😅 I really hope you don’t have to move from one domicile to another anytime soon. This is one of the most staggeringly large collections I’ve ever seen.
I’ve been collecting for almost 16 years, so stuff really starts to add up over time! Luckily I own my house so as long as I keep up with my mortgage I shouldn’t have to move 😂

Since no one has the balls to ask, what do you do for a living, or what did you do to get such a sick collection, we can’t even pay our bills with jobs lol
I’m not gonna talk about my job, I’ll just say I do fine for myself. Keep in mind I’ve been collecting since I was a teenager, so stuff was way cheaper back then and the collection has added up over time.

I was lucky enough to stay away from Shaq Fu until I was an adult, but we’re definitely gonna be playing it here on the channel, haha. The only NGage game I currently have is Pandemonium, I’d love to get more but I never see them out in the wild.

Im currently collecting for xbox 360 and PS3 and those 2 consoles alone can be expensive and time consuming.
I’ve been collecting for like 16 years, stuff adds up and was far cheaper back then.

@@micklejickles A lot of it was thrifted in the early years but a lot of the thrift stores have dried up around here, so now it’s mostly second hand game stores. And stay tuned, we’ll definitely be making more collection videos
