The Smitten is so funny, I love the way he talks
This game lends itself to a pretty self-explanatory series of video titles
The Princess changes depending on whether you bring the knife, and this seems extra relevant because she responds to our approach before she can see us. She calls out to us while we're at the top or middle of the stairs, and her call changes on whether we brought a weapon she can't see. I think this supports a prior theory, that the Princess is becoming whatever we see her as. Not taking the knife says that we don't consider her even a remote threat, and so instead of seeming possibly dangerous but still human, she becomes a helpless prisoner we must save. The Voice of the Smitten matches her looking fancier and cuter the second time around, as it becomes clear through that Voice's comments that we have begun to crush on her.

Narrator: again i can’t believe you came to this absurd conclusion. The princess is just a completely *normal* princess that just so happens to be able to end the world, and they are perfectly *capable* of *simply* and *easily* Slaying the Princess.
I mean we haven't begun to crush on her, but the feeling is there, yet we also see this proncess in particular as completely innocent who not only cam no wrong but also seems entirely dependent on us and happy with whatever we do, which is where Hero comes in.

Continuing to question what The Damsel wants is a very revealing route. Yes, sometimes your dialog option have major effects.
I love the VA who does the narrator/hero's voices. What a range!

Now these two... These are interesting. For some reason I find the prisoner incredibly funny
parasocial producer alert: you should definitely grab the flowchart that absolutely exists for the game and try to run more princesses, there’s so much excellent content to experience in this game
I see the capitalisation of The Narrator when they write ‘He’ and ‘Him’ is to differentiate the voices of us vs The Narrator, which is a version of us from The Narrator rather than thinking the Narrator is a higher being, because he’s definitely not that, if anything we are the higher being
One of these princesses will be nice, the other evil. I highly doubt we will get a situation where they’re both either good or evil

The Prisoner isn't evil. She's just very cautious and deadpan.
And there are sevrral princesses which are both good and evil depending on the choices you make.

As i said before, the Smitten is one of the most loved voices out of them all, personally there is another who isn't used much but i like him more where he is and their role. Also I really am looking forward to which of the 4 endings you choose. Don't feel influenced at all by any of the comments like your guys's other playthroughs, just choose one that you feel the most natural. Since this is a game meant to be played multiple times, just pick one you enjoy!
Also fun fact, Damsel changes depending on how many times you question her before leaving! You can actually see it in the first time you do it, the details seem to break down and her fingers get less defined, also her eyes started to get BIGGER
Actually i think he's one ofnthe most loved along with Contrarian, Paranoid and Stubborn.
And there's a reason she changed - you start to fully see her as someone whose solely devoted to doing whatever makes you happy with no thoughts or free will of her own, except for the passing remark that she wants to leave, which they didnt ignore. It's a deconstruction of the damsel in distress trope that prevelant in most media

So since I don’t think you can get the “damsel” again, if you kept on asking her “what do you want to do” with her, she’d becomes less detailed and the music distorts and you get to the hand amalgamation sooner.
I’m so glad to find another channel who genuinely loves Smitten 🥺 The only other one I know is ManlyBadassHero, the rest tend to react with either annoyance or disgust :(

The ones who don't never make it to Thorn which is where he's best. Even Manly hated Smitten before that one.
It would have been neat to see their reaction to when they keep pressing The Damsel on what she wanted, oh well; the fact that the _Grabby Hands_ have very little to say about her as a vessel is telling
Other than that, The Prisoner is definitely a fan favorite, so much so that she has her own sticker in the games Points Shop

If youd kept asking her what she wanted, the damsel would have become a sketchier and sketchier, more and more anime looking princess XD and then she immediately gets grabbied
Only one more princess? The stranger, the razor, the spectre, the damsel and the prisoner, wow i guess that was 5. With the exception of the razor, thats all chapter 2 princesses (although i dont think you can end or divert the razor at any point so id say she counts too)
This might be a bit early to say, since i doubt you finish the game this video, but i hope you have another playthrough so you get to see more princesses. Theres so many and even variations on the same chapter depending on what you do and how you get there.
Hero: shes so composed after losing an arm. Its like she isnt even bothered by it!

when they first play, they started from skeptical and fear to slowly starting to enjoy it😁👍👍👍 this game is really great at creating atmosphere, it's fun to see the different reactions of different ppl playing this game😁👍👍👍I was too scared of it at first encounter🤣 because I was more familiar to consequences game, where games tends to point you to just two simple outcome, bad and good, and we tend to move towards the good and avoid the bad, so at the fist unknown decision with that many options that seemingly points to many disaster and Voices doubting you, it creates fear, anxiety, scepticism and other to choose the "right path" to your preferred outcome. It's fun😁👍👍👍 and now you know the consequences, you starting to enjoy it more carefree of choosing the paths🤣👍👍👍

The damsel is very scary she is basicly a blank slate that is only interested in pleasing you. The only reason The Smitten seems to love her so much is because of her lack of resistence. That's a very fucked up form of love
Not true; Smitten loves ALL Princesses. He loved the Razor, he loves Thorn (obviously) and while Pixel Partners accidentally skipped the route, Smitten also professed love to Moment of Clarity. He loves *all* of them and that’s why I like Smitten the best
She does say in passing she wants to leave, but it's a very small bit of agency compared to other princesses like the spectre or thorn.
And then if you kill her which very few people do unless they're exploring, her next form will manifest her in a much more dangerous and obsessive way, which is a last ditch attempt be together forever.
Damsel is also getting another third chapter in the Pristine Cut which will be fun
