Not sure what you mean. If you take a screenshot of the tree and save it as an image, just resize that image in the Word document like you'd do any other image.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. As far as I know, it's not from a book (but I can't be sure). I took an example I saw someone teach in their class many years ago and made some modifications to it. That person wasn't using a book either.
The add-in can be purchased here: treeplan.com. As for the Excel sheet, it starts pretty empty with just that small amount of data you see at the beginning of the video. You can do everything else yourself by following the steps together with me in the video. Pause and rewind as needed.
I love this best course I ahd taken as industiral engineer is Decision analysis we learned all that you have mentioned but the question bugging me is where this techniques so to speak is Applicable in Real Life . is there Job where you would have to do this kind of Analysis
These types of models and analyses are becoming pervasive in several areas due to availability of data and inexpensive computing power. There isn't a single job title that can benefit from simulation, optimization, data analysis, etc. This can be used in Marketing, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Real Estate, Sports Management, Logistics and Operations, and many more areas. Often, it's a matter of training your eye (through courses like this) to *see* the opportunity to apply these types of decision making, or decision-aid techniques.
Hello Tallys, First and foremost, thanks a lot for explaining this, I have an issue that the 1,2,3 doesn't show in my decision nodes, do you happen to know why?
It may have to do with one thing I explain in the video. The square shaped object, which Excel draws, can have the transparency of the yellow color set to a level too close to zero. The number is there, but it's hidden behind the yellow box. If you right click on the yellow box object and go to Fill -> Transparency and increase the transparency level, you'll see the number.
@@TallysYunes Thank you for the prompt answer, I have done that but I don't see the moving 1,2,3 I had to put the formula manually, I was just wondering why mine not showing it.
You should not have to put any formula into the tree manually. At this point I'm not sure what's happening without looking at your sheet. You can try going to the Troubleshooting section of the add-in's website or email them for help: treeplan.com/support/
I don't know for sure. I'd reach out to their support person to confirm. Their name and email are at the very bottom of this page: treeplan.com/support/
